Current Just because you can have 36 attacks per turn that threaten a crit on a roll of 14+ doesn't mean it's worth doing.

Isn't it weird how you can start a private conversation with yourself?

Name: Shimazu, Toshiro
Age: 32
Sex: M

Appearance: Toshiro is comparatively tall and quite scrawny looking fellow - to the point that he is usually the tallest in any group he travels with. His face is qute effeminate and if he didn't have a scruffy little beard covering the tip of his chin it would be possible to think him a woman. A little scar runs from the left side of his lower lip down to his jaw, which gives him a permanent half smile. He has another little scar on his left temple which is usually hidden by a bandage or a scarf of some sort. His hair is rather messy - even when put on a proper topknot or a ponytail it still manages to look like a mane of an animal instead of proper human hair - this fact paired with the constant half smile makes the man seem a bit unhinged.

For the duration of the trip Toshiro has chosen to dress up as a monk - well a Sōhei, or a warrior monk to be exact. He wears two layers of kimono like robes - a more or less white underrobe and over it one that has at some point been the color of saffron, but has faded quite greatly. On his feet he wears tabi socks and geta. Toshiro's head is covered by a wide straw hat.

Weapons: Kanabo, naginata, bow and some arrows.

Personality: Toshiro has a rather dry sense of humor - which some may find rather disrespectful. He is a very devout man and often reacts with some passive agressive behaviour if his faith is questioned or insulted in some way. Admittedly this can be seen as a rather hypocritical way of acting on his part, since Toshiro himself does not show much respect to the faith of others - for instance he shows noticeable dislike towards Jōdo Shinshū followers.

Bio: Toshiro is the fourth son of the head of his clan and he has always been a devout man - though to claim that he's more interested in scriptures than fighting would be a bit of an insult. Though technically a samurai he has always been more at home in the temples and around monks - be they warriors or not. Admittedly years spent with local monks has made Toshiro respect their ways and he considers himself more a monk than a samurai. He feels very honoured about the fact that he's one of the chosen protectors of a princess. Though the Ito and Shimazu clans have not always seen eye to eye the current heads of the clans have formed an alliance of sorts - which has given Toshiro this opportunity.

Ito Hime ^^
A question! ^^

Though this is obviously based on the first seasons of MMPR I was wondering if we could mix the deck a bit with a new magical villain?

I'm not talking about a big bad - that's Rita's job, but more an affiably evil old mage who holds a grudge against both Zordon and Rita for one reason or other?

Just askin' cuz I'd like to play a villain for a change and... ^^;

Well Chii could look for Cadogan and ask for the new armor thingies ^^
Gurthang rolled his eye and grasped a firm hold of Jacobs shoulder. "Let's see..." He closed his eye and concentrated on directing divine energies through his body.

Surprisingly the healing was not painful - it felt weird, but it definately wasn't painful. The old orc pulled his hand back to cover his mouth and coughed violently. He glanced at his palm and wiped droplets of blood to the cloak while straightening up "It's done. You should feel better - Gurthang thinks."
Radek had to admit that he was getting a much better welcome than he had hoped for. The people seemed relatively nice, there hadn't been threats of death and he'd get the same pay as the others - back in the army he had been more a weapon than 'one of the lads' which he hadn't really minded that much to tell the truth. Still the Trajak smiled warmly - and by the gods it made him look unnerving because the bone half of his face also moved in to a sort of a smile with nasty creaking.

All of this was so exciting! And definately a nice change to the trip from Cotrelini - that trip had not been horrible per se, but the people had been less than welcoming and the leftovers had not been good eats. The fingers of his hand twitched slightly as the black haired man glanced around. His mind was racing from one place to the other - for instance an escape plan was already forming up in his head in the case there would be need for a hasty departure. He gritted his teeth as he realized that the calculations wouldn't be perfect since he didn't know how quickly the ship could leave port and other such details.

Radek was deep in thought when the fact dawned to him - he had seen Jacque before! They hadn't been formally introduced, but the general had spoken warmly about the man - admittedly Roland Stillwind spoke warmly about all the officers and even soldiers, be they under his command or some other general. He tilted his head slightly and tried to remember the name of the man... Ma'aka? That must have been it. The black haired man nodded to himself and brushed his hair away from his face.

Though he didn't like kids that much - not that he'd been close to any kids after the age of four - Radek noted himself that the twins that were by his estimate a part of the crew were kinda cute. The Trajak fixed his least unnerving smile to his lips while he nodded to the kids and then glanced at Jacque again. "Sir, with your permission I'll accompany you on the tour around the ship."
Radek seemed quite relieved - it wasn't quite clear if he was relieved for the fact that he was about to sign a contract or for the fact that he wouldn't have to give a demonstration. With smile the Trajak wrote his name on the contract and pulled the cloak over the tentacles again. He made a little bow to the captain. "I look forward to working with you, ma'am." The black haired man handed the contract back to Valliére and made his way to stand next to Jacque while carefully attaching the fastenings of his cloak. The Trajak glanced at the other man and lowered his voice so that it wouldn't bother the talks of the captain and the other crew members. "I overheard that you served at Cotrelini. I served under General Stillwind in the Red Wings for 15 years." The black haired man's silent voice was filled with pride.
"I can reload and fire both a cannon and a musket - both with noticeably difficulty, I'm more oriented for close combat you see." Radek glanced at the cloaks fastenings and sighed as he shook his head as if to get rid of an annoying thought "The harpoon I'm sure I could man." He smiled a bit and scratched the back of his head "As for the sleep... I don't require that much sleep really - maybe 3 - 5 hours a day, but I can survive with less." The man sighed and pulled one of the odd fastenings on his upper body, then he calmly tossed the cloak to his back so that everyone present could see the five bladed tentacles which were at the moment curled around one other.

The serrated blades looked rather nasty even when the tentacles were unmoving. "Melee combat I can do easily." As Radek spoke he unfurled the tentacles and leaned on two of the three blades while the three remaining ones took a bit more tensed stance. "These have the effective striking range of more than 10 feet and I can move them with remarkable accuracy." He smiled faintly and straightened his back. "To put in to perspective... How did the commander say it... Uh..." Radek glanced at the tips of his boots before straightening up again "The range of a team of pikemen, accuracy of a master swordsman and enough strenght to cleave through an armored opponent." The trajak rolled his eyes and pulled the tentacles as close to himself as possible - they were roughly the length of an arm now, but since there were five of them he still seemed rather odd. "Would you like a demonstration, ma'am?"
Radek stepped forwards and made a very proper military salute - though with his left hand which made it seem slightly weird. He grinned and took a raspy breath before speaking. Surprisingly the trajak's voice was quite soft - though there was a hint in it that signaled that he's used to giving and receiving orders. "I am Radek, a honorably discharged soldier from Cotrelini." The grin became a polite - if a bit unnerving - smile as the man shifted his weight slightly to the left. "I have experience in combat operations on land and air. Also some limited knowledge on aerial tactics." The black haired man scratched the back of his head and checked the fastenings of his cloak while obviously pondering what to say next. "I'm not much of a sailor, but I can cook a meal in a pinch and..." He shrugged his shoulders and smiled "Heck I'll accept any kind of work at a reasonable pay..." With a little frown Radek added more to himself than the captain "Though I've gotten my fair share of 'reasonable pay' for a while..."
Radek moved nimbly through the mass of people, he didn't pause to nudge them aside or anything like that - he simply managed to move past people with noticeable grace. Part of the ease of movement was perhaps the man's looks - either he was wearing an odd mask... after all mask wearing people are never to be trusted - or he was one of the trajak, which gave people even more reason to keep their distance from such a lowlife. Even the most foolhardy pickpockets decided to keep his distance from the oddly dressed and cloaked figure who was making his way forwards.

The cloaked figure lifted his head slightly as he heard the words 'high ranking soldier of Cotrelini' and decided to investigate further. The unnerving emerald eyes scanned through the crowd and found Jacque and the captain. Jarek smiled faintly and made his way closer - soon he was standing behind Jacque - though far enough not to seem too impolite.
