Sleep was invented by the communists to reduce the time we spend active.

That awkward moment when you glimpse a dog stylist advertisement and before you realize what it is, you assume it's an ad to raise awareness about animal cruelty.

A friend introduced me to a site called nanowrimo.org Technically a novel-writing site but they seem to have useful stuff for writing in general in the forums.

Nieldun brought his guard back up and looked human again. "No offense taken. We should look for lore to see how demons and shadows have interacted in the past to see if it is a learned fear or instinctual. I'll let you know if I find anything. Best of luck and may your sword hand never fail you." With that, Nieldun returned to his bodyguards and went home to Nastrond.
I was mainly joking about abandoning reason since in the intro it said "Hey, maybe those strange beings can be reasoned with and taught the right way of Science!" and I was attempting to inverse it. While I would certainly like for my aliens to learn magic, I believe such studies would require discipline, logic and patience.
Once Nieldun was sure the others had all left, he let his guard down and allowed his parentage to truly shine. His purple eyes became glowing red, magnificent curling red horns extended from his head, batlike wings emerged and his teeth became fangs. He approached the cage and looked the beast right in the eye.
1 Valid point but I'm not sure I want to risk it.
2. Understood.
I'm in for Team Villain.
"That would be quite beneficial if we could find that it reacts differently to those with demon blood. I'm guessing your plans depend on the sort of reaction? I'll gladly assist in the experiment."
1. Well, same policy as with the Shalorni: don't back the mighty or I might end up next on the chopping block.
2. Yes, if I can counter their keshiks and mobility then my highly trained spearmen might have an advantage.
Nieldun nods at the first part "It is always wise to be knowledgeable of what goes on nearby and even far away."

He looks rather curious at the second. "That is quite interesting. What do you want me to test?"
Nieldun looks surprised by the Grandmaster's frankness. "Well, yes I am. How widespread are these rumors exactly? I'd rather not have to deal with crusaders determined to destroy me based on my parentage."
Well, a feast is too pricey, my trade is limited once the orders for Stygian Iron are taken care of... However, I'm sure someone near the Domani would pay a pretty penny for assistance in that fight and if I win something major, that's two birds with one stone.
