Sleep was invented by the communists to reduce the time we spend active.

That awkward moment when you glimpse a dog stylist advertisement and before you realize what it is, you assume it's an ad to raise awareness about animal cruelty.

A friend introduced me to a site called nanowrimo.org Technically a novel-writing site but they seem to have useful stuff for writing in general in the forums.

Perhaps a little time for people to take a look?

Argus smiled warmly at the newcomer recognizing shyness. "Glad you asked! We're recruiting prisoners who no longer wish to be prisoners in an attempt to correct our unfortunate condition of captivity." He gestured subtly to the guards. "Thing about these golems is that they're programmed a certain way with magic and if you say the wrong word, they'll think you need to be neutralized."
Oh boy...

At Arcantas's mention of taking inventory of powers Argus speaks. "You said you summoned fiends and made the dead walk. I did the same for the most part. I also studied some combat magics but those are mostly suppressed except for one little trick." With that, he conjured a fireball the size of his palm before extinguishing it. However, Argus failed to mention his crowning achievement of sacrifing his soul not to a fiend or a dark god but to the void and the dark arts themselves.
So how is the game creation coming along?

Argus looked at the strange man demanding that the dracon behave. He was incredibly confused as to what cleric-boy was thinking. Behave? BEHAVE?! This was a prison for wizards! Who did this fool think he was, sort sort of angel!? Argus opened his mouth to speak irately "What goes on in that noggin of yours? You are in a prison not a timeout for naughty children!" He was about to continue but then he shut his yap remembering that he needed allies. "Terribly sorry, allow me to introduce myself and try again. My name is Argus Tlamreyl. I am simply a little confused as to why you felt the need to mention behaviour. I presume you are willing to harm non-living men of stone and metal?"
Skipping to Nastrond.
"Indeed there is. However, we need to strategize first. If you have read your history you know part of the reason we acquired demon allies is because they all hate each other." Nieldun was not overconfident but had faith in his people to defeat the enemy that was rising against them. Especially now that they had strong allies. Regardless of how those allies were acquired. At Dorias's insinuation that Queen Marianna was sweet on him, Nieldun blinked innocently. He was as naïve and oblivious to this development as a schoolboy. "She has? That's certainly interesting... She might be in for a bit of a surprise that I'm only half-human though... She might not mind though..."

Argus was also irritated by the lack of meat. During his childhood, his elven mother had been a vegetarian which meant that meat was a very rare treat for him. Once he became an adult, he practically went full carnivore. He preferred the meat of large farm animals, be it cow, goat, sheep, pig or even horse.

The dragon-man (Argus knew there was a proper term but could not recall it) seemed prickly but he had just said something very interesting. Not the complaint about the lack of meat, but the mention of escape. Argus walked over to the table where the dracon (that was the word!) was sitting with his tray and sat down.

"I'm sure we would all like to but I have the courage to act. Do you have a plan by any chance?" Argus also took care not to say escape or any synonym of it near the golems after watching others do so.
"Oh, that's nice. I did not know you were engaged. Merry tidings on your house my friend." Nieldun spoke. He was glad that there would be at least some joy to counter the sorrow and death of the utter bloodbath. This young man seemed to symbolize to him that there was a bright future for Nastrond.... Assuming the demon threat was put down. Dorias reminded Nieldun of himself when he was younger.
