Siris was shocked watching his leader create and burn the axe throwing man, not enough to kill him. However, that was not a mistake Siris intended to replicate

Siris: "You’re looking at the wrong warrior you dumbass!!"

Siris moves 3 tiles to 16-34 equipping his bronze shortsword. He attacks and deals 15 damage killing the Kassite Brigand.

Putting his knife away, he runs between Ashür and the enemy. The Brigand sees the running warrior but it was too late, as Siris unsheathe his sword he quickly sliced the Brigand’s head clean off.

As his body falls, Siris takes a look around and notices that they’ve been surrounded.

Siris: "Damn, I’ll take you all on!! "

Although Lyun’s absence perplexed Siris, it was definitely not going to stop him.

Siris: "Zarif! Allow me to follow!"

Siris moves 6 tiles to 13-33 equipping his bronze throwing knife

Nearby he spots a axe warrior surprisingly similar to Lyun, however not nearly as intimidating. Pointing his knife at him he shouts

Siris: "Come fight me nameless warrior, unless you intend to run home to your mother!!"

Watching his allies quickly eliminate all the enemy forces one by one, Siris realized he had been underestimating them.

Siris: They’re much stronger than I thought. he mutters to himself, quickly realizing and hoping no one heard him.

As the battle begins to de-escalate he sees Zarif charging towards the rival mercenary group member they had previously picked up, who was attempting to fight off the nearby yeeks.

Siris runs after his ally but was surprised to see him shoot an arrow to the nearby yeek rather than killing the distracted mercenary. Not one to ponder things for very long, Siris quickly followed suit and finished off the injured yeek with a quick stab through the skull.

Unknown whether the enemy mercenary was still a threat to them or not, Siris quickly removed the sword from the yeek’s head and turned towards the man with sword and shield ready.

Siris: Are you an enemy.

Siris moves 6 tile to 11-8 and attacks the yeek ensi, killing it

Siris couldn't understand how, but it seemed that the yeeks had managed to more than once perfectly find the weakest parts of his armor to attack. However, the damage was not enough to critically injure the warrior as the yeek soon found out.

After dealing with his current predicament, Siris began to understand what was occuring. As he turned his attention back to his allies he saw his teammates Iddin and Lyun being attacked and badly injured from a surprise attack from a rival mercenary band.

Siris: SHIT! he shouts as he begins running back to his comrades.

After deciding to pay back his allies for their kindness and his own stupidity, Siris had resolved himself to act as a decent member. At least for now. Watching himself instantly fail to protect them elicited a more serious range of emotions than Siris has had for a while.

As he was about to attempt to run to his injured friends, Siris felt his skin begin to harden making it increasingly difficult to move. This wasn't enough to stop the young warrior though who used all his strength to force himself to move causing his skin to turn back to normal, immediately allowing him to break into a sprint.

A random opponent from the rival mercenary gang attempted to block the way to his allies, but with a quick side step and push of his shield Siris managed to run past him without losing time.

The man who had attacked the healer Iddin was already preparing for the berserking warrior's arrival, this however would not stop Siris's charge.

Both men raised their swords and swung them at the same time. Siris's armor managed to stop the cut from being too deep although the damage was still evident; the swordsman in front of him was more damaged but showed no sign of going down.

A split-second after the attack, as the 2 mercenaries were attempting to recover their stance, Siris heard footsteps coming from behind him.

Siris moves 5 tile to 11-14 and attacks Scorpion Swordsman dealing 13 damage but receiving 6

Siris: Ugh!

Having felt a hand dig into his wounds, the young mercenary initially thought he had been blindsided by an enemy. As he was about to turn to see he noticed it was the healer of the group who seemed rather annoyed at the young warrior's actions.

After a short time, the pain quickly began to subside as his body began to reform.

Siris: Damn it Iddin, couldn't you have been less rough! he says as he scratched his head to remove the now crystalized blood from his scalp.

After hitting his now healed body a couple of times to make sure he was now completely healthy again, Siris began to walk forward more confidently. Still, however, not as foolishly as he did before.

Siris: Hmph, I can understand your reasoning though. Regardless, I thank you for the help. Shifting his focus to in front of him, Siris walks into the barely lit area.

Siris moves 4 tile to 11-11 and waits

Keeping his guard up and intently focusing on his surroundings Siris ignores his comrade and continues to cautiously advance.

Siris moves 3 tile to 11-15 and waits

Slowing his pace to a cautious walk Siris continued forward while brushing his hand on the wall, keeping his sword in his hand while doing so.

He turns his head slightly towards Ashür, making sure to keep most of his concentration in front of him.

Siris: I’ll stay near this wall to make sure we don’t unknowingly pass any hidden passageways, hopefully avoiding any possible ambushes from behind or to the side.

Although his bleeding was slowing down it had not completely halted, the injuries however were not debilitating and had the side effect of increasing Siris’s focus to avoid leading himself to an untimely death.

Siris moves 3 tile to 11-17 and waits

Taking a deep breath, Siris calmed himself as he felt the blood from his two shallow stab wounds slowly trickle down his armor. This wasn’t his first time adventuring into danger but normally he was always abandoned, the most logical solution, but Ashür’s words had made him realize this wasn’t like those times.

The young warrior looks around and sees how the rest of the his allies had not only followed him but kept up with him. Focusing his resolve Siris looks Ashür in the eye before speaking.

Siris: I apologize Ashür, you’re correct…

Without much else to say given the situation, Siris thinks back to his young days of constant training and decides he would be would still be best suited to watch the front so long as he didn’t stray too far. He speaks to his comrade with a serious tone

Siris: I’ll guard the front, even injured I’m more suited for it. As you say we shall advance together.

With his shield up, Siris slowly walks forward while waving his sword, trying to use it to get an idea of his surroundings and to deter and frontal assaults.

Siris moves 3 tile to 10-19 and attacks in front of him

Siris could feel anger bubbling up from inside him, but not at the yeek or Lyun but at himself for how weak he had been. There are few things he believed in but his own strength was one of them, even if the battle hadn’t been decided yet with how it was going it could’ve gone either way without Lyun’s help

As he gripped his sword harder and focused himself he saw a yeek running away from him and his allies into the darkness. Although he failed against his previous opponent, this time he would be ready. He must redeem myself.

Siris: Lyun!

Siris:

Siris: Thank you! I’ll handle the one that’s escaping!

Siris yelled this without turning to look his ally in the face, he just focused on running into the darkness attempting to follow the sound of running to pursue the yeek.

Siris moves 5 tile to 10-22

Seeing the massive creature walking down the hall with its allies, Siris hesitated for a moment, but it was only for a moment.

Siris: Finally a real opponent, your fight is with me!

He shouted this at the monster while pointing his sword at it, although he doubted it could understand him a pointed sword is usually easily understood.

Siris began to charge as the other warrior yeeks attacked his allies, however he could not afford to distract himself and ran forward without further delay.

As he ran he felt a weird sensation as if his fine muscle control felt weaker but quickly after it strengthened back to his usual norm, although this was barely registering in Siris’s head.

The small part of his brain still thinking of his allies and bodily sensations shut down when he was finally in front of the massive yeek.

It roared at the headstrong warrior and lifted its mighty axe to strike Siris down but the tightness of the hall for the beast worked against it as it took extra time to swing its massive axe correctly. Siris took this extra time to break into a sprint, as the red yeek swung the young warrior slid below the massive axe and then immediately stabbed the monster in the stomach.

With a yell Siris used all his strength and pushed his sword to the right, further cutting the beast’s gut until it finally cut all the way out through its side.

The red yeek began to bend over and with a small chuckle Siris began to turn towards the group when he saw the massive axe began to quickly move toward him. He put his shield in front of himself to stop it but the swing was too powerful causing Siris to fly back and slam into the wall.

Barely landing on his feet Siris stumbled in pain towards the center of the hall to keep his balance as blood dripped from his head, his bones and organs not severely damaged thanks to the armor.

The beast was still alive and it was pissed.

Siris: shit..

Siris moves 3 tile to 10-27 and attacks the red yeek dealing 13 damage. The red yeek counters Siris and deals him 7 damage
