Hello everybody! I really like to RP and I’m always bursting with ideas, so I’m going to share a few with you, hoping someone is interested. Some of them are maybe inspired by books I read or movies I watched or anything else, but since I read too much I can’t really remember if an idea is really original or not. But that doesn’t matter, does it? XD
I don’t really care about writing a female or a male character. I am female myself, but half a man anyway so everything suits me :D Since I prefer not to do romance orientated things (not that I don’t like them, but I am currently busy with some of them, and that’s enough for me), so if that is what you want I don’t think it’s going to work. Of course some of the plots may involve romance and it may be inevitable, for me it’s about the story, the created universe, the character development and maybe on the sixth place about romance. With some of the ideas I don’t really care which character I’d play, but with others I do have a preference and I marked those bold. (And they are not negotiable. I already have a character worked out for them)
I’d like to RP with someone who will be able to write at least 2 or 3 times a week (I prefer more, exceptions can always happen) and I will try to do so myself too. I also like to RP at least casual, if I read your post I want to read enough to react to and learn something about your character. I’ll try to write at least 2 or 3 paragraphs each time and I expect you to do that too. (Longer is always better!) I don’t really care about perfect grammar and punctuation (since I’m not perfect either) but too many mistakes irritate me. (If you see me making a mistake, feel free to correct me. I’m still learning!)

(For those who care; English is not my first language. (Dutch is) So my English won’t always be perfect and sometimes it takes me longer to find the right words to express what I want to say. But that doesn’t mean I’m not trying my best, since I’m doing this because I love writing and want to improve my ability to write in English. I’m also going to study English (and Japanese) next semester, so I will just be getting better and better :D)
So, here are my ideas:
- White collar inspired, medieval setting, bounty hunter and thief;
A bounty hunter has been chasing the same thief for years through the kingdom, and when he finally catches her, they decide (not without trouble) that he won’t turn her in, and in exchange she will use her knowledge to help him capture other criminals. Of course this doesn’t happen without her constantly trying to escape. And maybe some romance happening, but only after some time and limited.
- Game of Thrones inspired, medieval setting, multiple characters;
I really like the GoT universe, and I want to experiment with it. I don’t want to use the world of GoT, but create something similar to it to play in. I also want it to be something like the books, with multiple characters (this means we both will play more than one) who interact with each other and such. Fantasy like. Maybe I’m not really specific with this, but I hope you get the point. Also, I want it to be focused on the world we create, and the characters, and I prefer not to put much romance things in it as a genre. Of course, some romance can happen and it’s all just naturally, but it is definitely not about romance.
- Slice of life, modern setting, childhood friends;
Two childhood friends (male, female or both, I don’t really care) live in a shitty neighborhood in a big city and just everything is going wrong for them. So one day they decide they’ve had enough, pack the little things they have, and go to some random country town. There they have to learn how to deal with the people there, but mostly, how to deal with themselves. And the try to find out who they really are. Maybe this just sounds boring to you (without action and romance and such) but I’m just longing for something realistic, far from perfect, that is about character development and such.
- Assassin guild kind of thing combined with social stuff, Victorian times, unspecified number of characters;
I love assassins. I love guild kind of things, and I love the Victorian times. And now I want to combine the three of them! I have a story in mind about an old experienced assassin (a man) who finds an orphan kid on the streets and decides to raise the kid as his successor. And at the same time something with a low nobleman losing everything because of an addiction and finding himself rescued by an elderly woman very high on the social ladder, trying to make him an success but he keeps screwing up. So, both at the same time or just one of them works for me.
- Demon hunters, modern times, multiple characters; - Newnewnew!
In times like now (maybe 10 years later/earlier) a big city is crawled with demons, only the normal people hardly notice. (Just some more crime, no big deal) A few people are selected because of their capabilities and are granted some magical powers, and given the job of demon hunter. At the same time, some high end demon lord are trying to get rid of the demon hunters once and for all, using simple minded demon to draw them out. We both will play a demon hunter and a demon lord. (I have something set out for the demons and the powers of the hunters, so if you are interested I’ll explain it)
That’s all I have for now, but I will keep this updated and post new ideas if I have them, and delete the ones I already used.
If you have an amazing idea and you think I would like it, that’s great too. I like a lot of things :)
(except vampires. For some reason I have a strong aversion to vampires. Maybe that’s because of twilight (blegh) or other things with poor stories about vampires. Point is, I don’t like them.)
