Current The proof of a healthy mind is not its ability to solve the problems that are before it, but the subconscious understanding not to for the sake of health itself.

As the bowl of patunias would say, as it falls through the air to meet the planet's hard rocky surface: "Not again."

Talking in riddles is fun. Putting them to poem is better. Presentation is the key.

User maneuvering a ship is not like riding a bike. For you to make a full broadside of one ship then turn and make another from the opposite side would take 10 minutes to complete if the wind is in your favor. Also I don't think you are allowed to have your own ship.
Okay I made my catch up post and it ends in what I interpret to be present events. Please let me know if I am wrong in anything please let me know and I will correct when I can.
Bartholomew Thorne stood leaning against the main mast of the Nightmare as the captain gave his speech on what the plan was. Thornedidn't take part in the drinking before they were to go into battle as he wanted to have all his wits about him when the time came. As he headed below deck to grab his bandolier of pistols he ran into the group of six men he was given charge of.
"So what's the plan Thorne?" one asked as they all parted letting Thorne grab his gear.
"same as always Higgins." he replied throwing the belt strap over his shoulder and turning to face them as he fastened it. "Kill, plunder, torture... repeat." his tone became more and more grim with every word. The six sailors about him gave toothy smiles and exchanged looks of sick amusement at Thorne's words. "We are on schedule to intercept a Spanish merchant ship tonight so be ready." With that Thorne past through the men once more and back on to the top deck.

Thorne milled about on deck doing his odd jobs as the sun set. The sky was alive with colors like that of a fire, and the moments that followed the setting sun everything got very dark very quick. Thorne and his small boarding party stood ready, waiting for their prey and the captains order. A thick fog rolled in as the Nightmare closed in on its target. Thorne stood ready listening to the ship as it plowed through the water then slowly and quietly drew his sword, the engraving of it's name glinting in the pale filtering moon light, as he heard the familiar sound of a second ship.

Thorne and his readied quickly making to board, and as the ship made a sharp turn they ran for the rail reaching it as the two ships made contact. With a leap Throne and his men began their attack as their enemies were recovering from the ramming.

Thorne came down on the deck of the Merchant Ship as the guards were still regaining themselves. Quickly closing the distance to the first sailor who lie trying to find his footing again. "squirming will do no good!" he yelled over the firing of cannons, thrusting his sword through the young sailor's chest. Thorne and his men continued to cut through any and all men in their path making their way below decks making sure to hinder their ability to fire. Thorne heard the oder to begin taking prisoners and smirked. Standing where all could see him in the gun deck he put his sword away and produced two of his five pistols. Shooting the Spanish commanding officer. Everyone became very quiet and scared at the use of a gun this close to the powder magazine. "listen up you worthless bunch. You can give up and have a mostly painless travel or you can continue to fight and have an agonizing last hours of life. You choose now!" there was a moment of silence as Thone's men herded the last into the group. "you chose-" Thorne cut short as he spotted a man aiming a pistol from behind a friend, and with lighting reflexes he pointed pistol and shot the would be attacker through his friend. Everyone parted to see the two now laying on the floor. "bind one of their legs to another and cast them out a cannon port!" he yelled. At that one two of his six followed the order. "the rest of you to the top deck, and remember what happens to heros." he said following the group of 20 men topside with the rest.

Finishing up with his group of prisoners Thorne and his group stood aside waiting for further instructions to kill or transfer whom they had captured.
Hit the deck or spill Ye guts you feckless sea rats!
