Current The proof of a healthy mind is not its ability to solve the problems that are before it, but the subconscious understanding not to for the sake of health itself.

Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? No says the man in Washington it belongs to the poor. No says the man in the Vatican it belongs to God. No says the man in Moscow it belongs to everyone

Talking in riddles is fun. Putting them to poem is better. Presentation is the key.

No one really looks at this part
Its all just pointless.

Joshua walked past many houses and people that knew him who, in a futile effort, like Caled tried to get him to stay, but he just didn't have any confidence in this small town anymore. He wanted to leave and nothing could convince him otherwise. It was about 7 O'clock when he reached the gate and the daily scavenging group was coming back im their U-Haul trucks that were hopefully carrying supplies. As they made their way in he made his way out of town passing the 8 trucks.

He walked for a while without looking back, the thin forest on either side barren of wildlife that it once contained. After a little while down the road he finally turned looking at the welcom sign laying in the ditch riddled with holes then at the gate in the distance. He had only walked 2 or 3 miles but the town could be barely seen through the trees. "Goodbye, and good luck." He whispered as he stood there.
We were able to get some form of civilized life going eventually, but because of that we were a major target for raiders. They came a lot, sometimes twice or more a day, they would try to get past the wall we made around out town. It wasn't until recently that i started to question our survivability here with them coming so often. Just last spring the Raiders hit hard and took out half of the wall guard, and now I am not so sure that it is wise to stay here.

Joshua was in his 'home' packing up some provisions for his journey out of town when Caleb, one of his friends, came bursting into his his house.

"What are you-!" he yelled but stopped short as Josh had his 1911 Colt 9mm drawn in an instant aiming at Caleb. Caleb slowly raised his hands into the air. "Hey, man." he paused. his voice breaking in nervousness. "it's me Caleb."

Josh lowered the gun and set it back on the couch with an aggravated sigh. "Caleb, your going to get yourself shot doing that. you know that right?" he went back to packing his bag.

"Well, I heard that you were leaving town... Is that true?" Caleb asked. Josh looked up at him with that look you give a friend when they ask a stupid question.

"No, I am packing a bag so I can go camping in my back yard for a week. Yes!" He said zipping up his pack and holstering his pistol. "This place isn't safe anymore, and from what i have heard Huston has an actual government system going and they are just five years away from being back to a semi-normal city." Josh strapped on his quiver and picked up his bow.

"But how do you know these are true? what if you go out there and-"

"What, I die?" Josh interrupted. He was standing staring hard at Caleb who wouldn't move out of his way. "Well here is how I see it, and i have told you this many times. I can either stay here in a sheep's pen waiting for the wolves to come and kill me OR I can make a break for Huston where there is a fifty-fifty chance of me finding what I am looking for." Josh then nudged him out of the way and stepped out the door. Caleb followed shortly after saying.

"What about us, here. You are part of the wall patrol and we are already short handed. If you leave do you know what the others are going to do?" This was the rhetoric question that had kept him here all year, but no more. Josh turned to Caleb and said in a hushed tone.

"I know what message this will send to them, and either way this town will die or become another thieves den for full of marauders. Now I want no part in that so here and now i am leaving." At that he turned and started heading towards the East gate where hia journey would begin.
It's been 30 years since it happened, 30 years since the bombs hit. Where they came from and who hit us never even crossed their mind. All They was focused on after they hit was surviving. Many were lost in the blast, radiation zones and storms that came with the bombs, but most of them just lingered on wondering why they were left in this now barren wasteland still called The US of A. Most of the farm land cant be used anymore 'cause of the radiation, and wont be used for a long time. They had to survive on their own. After two years they had accepted that there was no government trying to make things better, there was no military coming to save them. It was them against the world now. The following 28 years was what they, and many others know to be how thing were, are and forever will be for the USA: Fighting for their lives as they try to make order among the chaos.

Hello wacky, wavy, inflatable, arm-flailing tube-man ;)

Trey was wiping down the last of the tables in the bar when people had started coming in. He finished with the last table and went into the back room to dispose of his cleaning rag and wash up to begin helping with orders. As he came back out he went to a table where a few peoplehad gathered and took their order returnimg to the bar the get the drinks an place the meal orders.
Okay, when do we start the IC?
HOLY NUGGETS WITH GRAVY!!! This is back! I will get my old character back in!

--edit--

Name: Trey Reacher

Age: 29

Species: Deviant

Faction: Deviant

Powers/Skills: Pyrotechnic. Not only can he create and manipulate fire but he can also stifle it as well.

Appearance:

Personality: generally kind and warm and treats all people like a long time friend. He doesn't lose control of his powers when he gets mad only his fists, but he is thw last one to lose control in any group due to his peraonal training.

Weaknesses: Anger and any other strong negative emotion.

Background: He was luky enough to has a display of his power where no one could get hurt and where no one could see... the bathroom, yup. He was shaving one day and he was late for work and his razor was dull. After becoming exceedingly frustrated at it he threw it in the sink and froof, it caught fire. He stood there a moment and stared at it. He knew there were people out there with special powers but he never thought he would be one.
In the time that followed he gained control of his power and kept it hidden for he knew what the military was doing to kids like this. He eventually came to rest, after running and running and more running from a group of cops and others after accidentally set a convince store on fire, in Antire where he started a new life working at The Hole in the Wall.

*sips coffee* I want to not be dealing with the stress of the military life and have a semi-regular one for once. Blah. You know, since we're all wanting stuff. OH, and I want a miniature elephant as a pet. because why not. Someone make that happen.

Here, I just happen to find one at the local shelter, poor thing. You have to promise to take good care of it though.
