The water spirit explained to this new man though the words still felt weird coming from her mouth seeing as she herself could see no value to keeping them alive.
"I dont think he will be after us." Victor said looking past the woman into the square at Kami. "She is now extremely vulnerable, making her a very large target..." he paused a moment "If she is killed, what happens to me?" Victor said quietly. He looked back to the woman. "Can you get to safety on your own?" Victor asked as he stuck out his arm pushing over a guard about to run into them.

Katherin smiled amend took the offered hand. She climbed to her feet. She hated the idea of going back. They were probably of an afternoon party, but Zack was probably right it was getting to be meal time. "Alright. I wonder what kind of food they will serve."
"Not sure," Zac replied as the started back through the woods, following the path from before. It was dark now the only light coming from the moon giving the forest a silvery shine in the dark. "Darn, it got dark quick. Hold on." He said stopping and reaching into a few of his pockets. "Where is it?" He whispered before exclaiming. "Ah ha." He pulled out a flashlight, turned it on annd handed it to Katherin then continued walking. "Can you keep a secret?"
