I admit it, the title made it seem like a thread by one of those goshdarned spambots.
Granted, but you will smell of strawberries so intensely afterwards that everyone will avoid you.

I wish I could travel anywhere, anytime and not die in any travels.
Day 25 - an acoustic song I love

I don't really listen to acoustic stuff, so I just randomly looked up covers for songs I had. Turns out this guy has done guitar versions for a bunch of popular dubstep tracks - and they all freakin' rock! Literally!
Day 24 - a cover song

Originally a Vocaloid song, or so I've heard. Doesn't matter much, as I can't imagine it being much better than this version. Lindsey, as usual, nails it. She has incredible skills with the violin and it looks like she has found a very lucrative niche by combining her craft with electronic music. And the results amaze me every single time!

Also, she reinforces the fact that the violin is the highest skill gap instrument ever. I mean, I've gone to a music school for years...hearing newbie violinists quickly goes from 'aww it's so cute, they're spreading their wings' to 'oh my gosh make it stooop'. No offence of course - it's one tough instrument!
Day 23 - a song that makes me angry

ENSLAVED MY SOUL
BUT I'LL NEVER SURRENDER

This is a positively enraging (I think this can be applied to most Combichrist songs, actually) song. Pumps me up with so much energy! It doesn't have much lyrics, but the kick-heavy beat is perfect for the purpose and the chorus is fucking great. Really makes you wanna yell it from on top of your lungs!

Not to mention the message overall is very valuable too: no matter what it takes, no matter how many times they knock you down, even if you have to SUFFER, even if you have to BURN, YOU NEVER SURRENDER!
Day 22 - a song that would be the theme song to a TV show about my life

After all that we've been through
Will this light lead me to you
I can't stay here one more day
I swear to you I'm not afraid
Through the wind chimes, through the bells
I would carry you through hell

Keep your friends close...no, actually, keep them closer. As close as you can.

I'm not a social butterfly. I have few friends, but those few I care very deeply about. For those few I am always capable to be as great of a person as I can possibly be and do everything in my power to make sure they are happy and fulfilled. I aim to be there for them when they're down and out, to carry them through the pain and cherish with them in their hard-fought victories. All because I know that they are all just like me. Human beings, craving for attention and care. And why would I keep these to myself when there's plenty to share? I give them out now and I know they will give them back when I most need them.

My life is about my friends as much as it is about me. Besides, what's fun in a TV show with a sole protagonist?
Day 21 - a song I want to dance to at my wedding

I was in a little trouble here with today's challenge. As you probably have already noticed, 99% of my music library is totally unfit for weddings (and many other purposes). And it's not like I really had to consider prepping a soundtrack for the big day just yet...

Enter my little sis, who, like most girls, is an absolute master of all things romantic. She showered me with like half dozen occasion-worthy tracks and James Blake's Retrograde was what the most to my liking. Even without delving into its meanings, I find it a very well constructed song: the humming is hauntingly beautiful, the lyrics are sung excellently and the music does a perfect job in constructing and maintaining the atmosphere.

I can already imagine holding my darling's hand as we gently dance under the moonlight, getting lost in each other's gaze and movements, undisturbed by everything else...embracing this little thing called love to the fullest. <3
Day 20 - a song from a new album I am waiting for to come out

Obligatory 'this album is already released'. Also this one may be cheating a bit, as it is the album from the label itself, which means it features many different artists rather than just one. But I digress. It was only released a couple days ago and it's Monstercat, which has great artists and great tracks in store for pretty much all EDM fans.

The album in question, Monstercat 028 - Uproar, is no exception to this rule. From newcomers like the above-linked Tokyo Machine (who is absolutely kawaii, by the way) and Conro, to seasoned veterans like the Pegboard Nerds and Project 46; from heavy-hitting dubstep and electro to cheerful future bass and DnB; this album has everything.

As per usual. The Family never disappoints. <3
Day 19 - a song I'm currently obsessed with

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the absolute pinnacle of trap music from one of the greatest trap gods to have graced our world. Scylla has everything I love about the genre, and just music in general: an incredibly rhythmic beginning that introduces instruments one by one and still so seamlessly, a buildup that is repetitive BUT still different enough that you become anxious af expecting the drop AND THEN IT COMES

THE MYTHICAL SEA BEAST RISES
THEN DROPS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FUCKING MARIANA TRENCH

This shit goes HARD!! The bass is HEAVY and you can actually FEEL IT unlike that shitty modern trap/big room stuff that calls a silent bassline a 'drop' fuck spinnin tv

I've no idea what the leading instrument is even called here, BUT WHO GIVES A SHIT! I just lose myself harder than Eminem every could every time it comes. Head-bobbing, arm flailing, that robotic movement every knows but like ten people in the world do correctly, YOU NAME IT! I dance in the freakiest way that I can come up with in that given situation.

The only, ONLY problem I have with this masterpiece of a drop that it's too short at only 30 seconds long before reverting to a (similarly bass heavy!) bridge part. Seasoned trap listeners might think that now they gotta wait another minute listening to a beat that may or may not be totally the same as the initial melody before having the SAME EXACT DROP WITH LIKE TWO NOTES CHANGED AT MOST i swear they only do it to double the song length the cheeki breekis

But wait
Only like ten seconds have passed and you already hear the exciting buildup again
THAAAT'S RIGHT

BEFORE YOU COULD EVEN THINK YOU'RE OUT, IT PULLS YOU BACK IN

Drop, bass, fucking awesomeness incarnate. For the second time!

Too bad it's over now cuz 99% of trap songs religiously have two drops before getting a little closing melody and fizzing out
In the case of Scylla this melody is the same as the beginning...ah well I guess even trap gods run out of steam sometimes
It's minute 3 now into the track and--

there is another buildup
poow poow Poow POOW POOOOW

DUN
DUN
DUN
DUN

SLAAAAMS YOU DOWN INTO THE CRUST OF THE EARTH AND BEYOND WITH THE DEEPEST, MOST ENERGETIC DROP YET

seriously if you did not get an immediate urge to SMASH SOMETHING TO LITTLE PIECES AND/OR PARTY HARD when hearing that you're probably faking it

...

After your third seizure-like dancefest it finally ends...along with you as you collapse from exhaustion and from just being unable to handle THE AMOUNT OF FUCKING EPIC THIS SONG IS I SERIOUSLY CAN'T I <3 SCYLLA I <3 RL GRIME ASDF

So yeah I think I kinda like this song.
I originally wanted the post to detail the entirety of Luciano's lone-wolf ‘mission’, but it kind of stretched too long and took too much time (seriously, it seems like I chose the worst day to write this with everything that interrupted me...) at the end, so I left it at half. On the flip side, there are more details and interactions both important and unimportant, hopefully you will find them entertaining to read!

Please, do go on with the night mission for the three. I'm sorry I could not quite catch up, I swear I will do so in my next post.

Once again, my apologies...and enjoy!
