I'm not entirely sure what you're saying your character is doing with her shield here. She transitioned from her rightward punch (to deflect the sword) into what exactly? Holding out her left arm vertically or horizontally? I fail to see how the end result you're intending is possible from the original action of deflecting the blade. It literally requires the shield to move in the opposite direction.
Probably, if he can't cut through forearm armour with his steel blade this fight would be pointless, your character would be nigh on unassailable.
His eyes brightened momentarily as he saw the incoming deflection of his sword. It was good to be fighting a competent foe once again. There wasn’t time to think, nor be worried by his blade glancing off tough armour. He was still within striking range, and so long as that held true his onslaught would be unceasing. The turning of his blade had inconvenienced him, but he was a strong man, trained with the sword. He did not falter, and his grip remained steady as he carried out the only natural transition considering his situation.

Sigurd manipulated his blade back a short distance by lifting his hand and then brought it down into a vicious cut. His left foot moved away from his foe as his right took the lead, turning his body into the move and further confounding his opponent’s attempts to utilize her spear. He had not outright stopped her attack, just slowed it as such that his own sword would menace her first. His target was of course her unarmoured right forearm, encumbered by the lengthy weapon and exposed as she manipulated the lance its options for evasion were limited. His strike was intended to slip over the pauldron and down to its intended target if she attempted to use it in her defence by cutting at an angle, aided by his swords position after the shield parry.

Sigurd was taking advantage of the gap of around three feet between them, perfect range for his longsword but both too far and too close for his opponent’s weapons. Naturally, to launch such an assault Sigurd moved his shield back, but on launching the strike it followed forward with every intent of furthering the onslaught.
Yeah I was expecting to see it in that format rather than five foot ten inches, probably why I missed it in the middle of the description.
Sensing the impending danger of the barrage of rocks from the first few pebbles that entered her domain, Anna took evasive measures. Hiding under the water like she was it was fairly simplistic for her to avoid the barrage, as she could move at extreme speeds. Gliding along the shore she covered one hundred feet to the right by travelling underwater with little more than a few superficial bruises from the first of the rocks to land in her vicinity. However the attack had served to anger her enough that she was starting to feel reckless. The Golem was still standing on the beach off to her left, and though she had done a decent job of wetting the figure to slow it down her attacks had otherwise proven ineffective. Working her way through the hard shell would be difficult, ideally there was a highly effective strategy she could utilize but getting it to work was going to be a pain. For now, she wanted to see how the Golem would react to her sudden relocation. She had not been particularly visible in her escape, nor was she now as she floated just beneath the surface of the murky waters. As she had carried most of her imbued water with her she once again began to spread her spiritual control. Slowly, her power crawled up the beach, following the line of wet sand and delving deep into underground water, like some great sea-creature slithering onto land.
Mm, sorry got caught up in the excitement of tournaments and whatnot, I'll sort this out first.
How tall is Iolanthe?
In other words you want me to make the edit. It shouldn't be too hard to ask that, hun. Give me a moment, I'll make things easier for you, and edit my post.

Well, I was a little unsure how Pollen wanted to do things. I was starting to wonder if it was up to me to decide how the sword landed rather than Sigurd's intent. I'm not sure you'd want your opponent describing the damage of their own attacks. It was more a query around the technicalities of the tournament rather than anything to do with the fight. I'm just rolling with T1 Eden and its rules, the only time your opponent decides the damage (or rather, describes the physical hit) of their own attack is for certain punishments like missing deadlines and shit.

Regardless, cheers m8.

One final thing, how close would you say our characters are to eachother at this point? As often happens in the heat of the moment we've been a little hazy with direct measurements, so it would be good to agree on a rough distance between them now. Personally, I'd say body to body, four feet at most.
I'm going with your ruling, which is why I'm asking if Chimera needs to make an edit to reflect the sword not rebounding away like they said, but being diverted to the right side of their character. My attack was launched in the last post, so it's up to Chimera to detail what happens with the sword. Sigurd can't realistically change his mind and do something different so it's out of my hands.
Sorry, I was asking Drifting Pollen as to the effect their ruling had. Obviously as you had wrote that the blade was bounced away, where-as Pollen has ruled it probably would have hit the right side, there's a disparity there.

Also I can sympathise, this is one of those annoying situations with (as far as I can tell) no historical precedent. I haven't seen it written anywhere if parrying with a shield edge is a good idea (though I have read that parrying into one's body is a bad idea, because of the chance of the sword point simply being deflected into some other vital part of the body.) So judging what would happen if the technique was perfectly pulled off is difficult.

Mind clarifying my question though? I'm unsure if you made the ruling that the sword-point was going to react differently so an edit is required or not.
