Anyone can refuse to fight someone. I wouldn't expect many fights if you reject the few people willing to fight giant metal robot cats who can manipulate dimensions though.

Depending on the size of the charge it will make a nice hole, but if you want shrapnel you need to encase the charge in ball-bearings, nails or some such to use the explosive power to radiate death in the blast radius.

I seem like the sort of person one should listen to from the outset though.
