That and they treated plate armor like they do modern tanks, in that certain sections of it are far more armored than other sections. The most armored part of full plate armor was the torso. The rest of the armor was relatively thin. There was this one Youtube video of a guy in full kit running, jumping and even falling off of his horse, yet he still managed to jump to his feet in an instant. That, and it didn't need to be especially thick or heavy in order to do its job, which was to stop piercing and slashing attack from swords.Warhammers, however, pretty much ignored the protective qualities of plate armor.

This is why my favored weapon would be a mace.

Haha! You're an awesome sword fighter with a shield and plate armour? I'm going to hit you really hard!
What I do think should become an issue here (provided I'm right in thinking Evvie has relatively large wings.) is that her wings swinging around would probably work towards defending against the stabbing attack to her upper body.

That's pretty much the only way I see Evvie surviving more than ten seconds after that knife punctures her vital organs.
Poor Fury, getting thrown into all the things.

And the Bear, I guess. Though it should really be more aware of its surroundings.

I can't remember when he did that, but yeah, what a lad!

I thought it was up to him to be able to describe the damage. You guys thought I just pretended that never happened? I made it clear she didn't dodge the attack.

Uh no, that's never how Arena has worked.

At most you can 'suggest' what sort of damage your intended attack will have. You really need to check the T1 rules.

You know...you and Andae had the weakest characters, and you /still/ have not complained much about being mismatched. Possibly because you went far along anyway.

Sigurd did an awesome job. If the crazy Chakram lady wasn't so hostile he probably could have defeated her without killing her as well.

What a lad.

I'm honestly completely at a loss. All I had her do was twist around to try and attack him and that's a miraculous avoidance? I'm not trying to start I fight, I truly don't understand.

You voided all of his attacks.

If your character decided to react to his post by turning and swinging, that's fine, but you should have said what effect that had to his knife strikes. Instead you just left it to the wind, with some ambiguous 'if my attack goes through then his attack goes through too!'

Personally, I think your attack would allow you to partially avoid the first knife strike, hence you should have said that, suffering or graze or missing or whatever you think plausible. Instead you just left it so Skallagrim can decide how much damage he did to you, which just isn't how Arena works.

Secondly, turning around and swinging a sword is going to get you stabbed with a knife, probably fatally. Your sword will never reach the Elf before you die, its just how turning circles work. This is me judging it with comparable speeds, I'm not entirely sure on the specifics of each character.

WotW memories.

In my defense, I had to seize every chance I could get with Sigurd. When I play more balanced characters I argue a lot less. Look at my fight with Khan! It actually finished, and we only argued a moderate amount! A moderate amount Rilla! Moderate!

I doubt it. I come from the Fight School of "If it seems cool and makes somewhat sense, do it."So stuff rarely bugs me that much. Sure, I LIKE to win, but if me losing or dying makes a cool scene or I go down like a badass, then so be it.

We'll see, I suppose.

You're both too goddamn serious. Jesus fucking Christ.

Trust me, when you fight you will understand, possibly.

I haven't seen a fight without some discussion which borders on arguing, at the very least.
