Hullo, CandiKane! *waves* My apologies, as my memory is rather terrible, but if I'm not mistaken you're new to Cara's thread. If you are, welcome! If you aren't, uh, welcome back!

Am doing well. Spent the day with the family; we went out to see 300: Rise of An Empire. Not as good as 300, but hey, it's a bit entertaining, at least. And we tried out this liquor ice cream store. Coffee ice cream and vodka = delish.

Cara: my two cents, then I will go back to not commenting on the matter: I dunno. I hope he's trying as hard as you are. One thing I don't like hearing, and don't want to be around, is hearing the tone of a defeatist. But then I don't know the guy,nor do I know the important details of this whole thing, and I'm sure you two are doing what you can. But I just hope this whole thing isn't one-sided.

Well everything's fine, though I was recently told that I won't be given any classes to teach for the coming term because I have yet to graduate from my masters. So, counting summer break, I will be jobless for five months. I can try again after I defend my thesis, but complicated stuff's happening to our education system which means slim pickings for everyone, both full time and part time, so my future in the academe is a bit uncertain, hehe. Not the end of the world, but a little demoralizing, admittedly.

So instead of working on things today, I lollygagged around the Net and am playing this awesome game called Limbo xD which, it just occurred to me right this second, is the state of affairs of my career next term xD
