I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

Current Active Roleplays:

The Elder Scrolls: Fruits of Contention
The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - Crimson Skies (GM)
Escaping the Blight (1x1)

Thanks guys :) also is anybody potentially a Stormcloak? May have beef if you are ;)

Yeah, I have a feeling Niko will help out in the Rebellion. Oh, I can imagine the tension now. :)
Woah. Hardcore dude.
I'll just wait for the others to do one more post, and then I'll get it going - let people finish up conversations and whatnot.

Well well then, looks like everyone is accounted for the meeting. Time to properly kick this roleplay off me thinks?

Jah.

Posted! I always struggle with an opening post, I have too many ideas and takes me a while to settle on one, but it's up now.

Hey, that was a great opening post! Can't wait to see more of him. :)

Roze your characters are like a more eccentric Brock and Crogunk, that said it was a really good post :)

Haha thanks Leos - to be honest, I took some inspiration from Tulio and Miguel.

Nikolaus glanced to his right, taking in his cousin's ecstatic look - which was odd, considering the blizzard they were trudging through.
"How are you so happy right now?" Nikolaus asked grumpily, his voice muffled both by the mask covering the lower half his face, and the harsh winds. His cousin - Leonidas - turned to him, Nikolaus' comment issuing forth a wider grin.
"Because we're going to see legends of old! The Greybeards! Just think what secrets they have hidden away in that monastery of theirs - oh, and the MONASTERY! Gods, I can hardly wait to see it! All I've heard about it is spectacular!" He announced brightly, laughing as he picked up his pace in anticipation of seeing High Hrothgar and it's denizens. "Cheer up, Niko! Just think of the fires that are up there, that'll keep you going."
Nikolaus shook his head and gave a begrudging grin of fondness as his younger cousin - who was more of a brother - gallivanted ahead. This was their third week away from Markarth, and despite his dark demeanor, Nikolaus was enjoying it immensely. He'd been getting so... bored, for a word, stuck in the city all the time, especially with Dragons flying about. To be honest, he was a wee bit disappointed about the journey up the mountain. People had stated how it was treacherous climb, filled with Frost Trolls, Ice Wraiths, Wolves, etc. They hadn't seen so much as a fox. Nikolaus supposed the others had gone some time before they had reached Ivarstead (They hadn't stayed there too long - Leo had began flirting with a pretty Nord Maid with a rather unsavoury-looking man with her, while Nikolaus had purchased supplies - he dragged Leo out before the husband lost his temper.) so they had probably wiped out all of the wild opponents on their way. Wondering idly how many would be there, his musings came to a halt as they reached the final station, and the towering structure of High Hrothgar came into their view, a vast guardian of stone that stood out against the bleak snowfall.
Naturally, Leo positively exploded.
"Niko, do you see this?! Can you imagine how long it must have taken to build it in these conditions?! And not to mention the transportation of materials! They must have lost a few lives on the way up; a perfectly noble cause, in my opinion..." Leo babbled on like that until the pair reached the front doors, Niko pushing them open and sighed in relief as a wave of warm air and the scent of food rushed towards him. Leo continued babbling about the interior ("By the Gods Niko, look at the designs on that brazier! AMAZING!"), as they removed their outer cloaks and face gear, to be welcomed by the Greybeards, and a woman wearing curious looking armour. With a thrill of surprise, Niko quickly realized it was of Akaviri design - she must have been a Blade. Leo noticed this too and switched on his dimpled grin, waggling his eyebrows at her. Shaking his head, Niko stood in front of Leo, blocking his view of the Blade - he was unsure whether Leo was drawn by her armour, or her looks. Probably both, knowing his friend.
After being directed into the dining hall - and dragging Leo away from the woman - the pair entered to see a group of people already in there. And they certainly weren't what Niko was expecting. What looked like an Argonian Mage, a pale looking man stood and obscured in the shadows, another pale looking Breton conversing with a Khajiit, an Orc, a young Breton girl... and a cat?
"I hope this was worth the journey, Leo... Leo?" Niko glanced at his cousin, who was openly staring at the pale Breton - well, more at his armour, to be honest. Niko clipped him around the ear, and Leo winced, glaring at his cousin. "NO. Stop it."
"Hey, don't talk to me like some sorta misbehaving dog!"
"Quit eye-stalking people and their armour then! It's rude!"
"But it looks SO FABULOUS."
"NO."
Their quiet conversation continued for a few moments, ending in Leo sat at one of the stone seats, drumming his fingers against the tabletop impatiently and his eyes listing around the room, and Niko leaning against the chair, glancing at the other occupants of the room. He wondered when the meeting would begin.
Nightingale wasn't perturbed in the least by the flaming dragon heads that the Merc made appear. Nor was she impressed by his continued theatrics, or the song he had put on. She preferred something a bit more upbeat, and a bit less patronizing.
"What, this scumbag?" She replied, glancing over her shoulder at Caro, then looking back at the Merc. "Nope. No-one's worth my life - no one that I've met yet, anyways." She added nonchalantly, the shield still up. It was a wonderful thing. It wouldn't allow anything to pass through it on his end, but she could still attack from her end. The only drawback was the energy cost. She wondered how long she'd have to deal with him alone until another Hero showed up. Not that she was worried.
"But you see, it's all a matter of principle..." She added conversationally, her hands igniting the blades in her hand with a blinding blue energy, making them about 100 times more deadly than before. "You've challenged me. I don't want people thinking that I'm some sort of weakling. Besides, I don't get paid if I walk away."
Tensing her muscles and narrowing her eyes at the Merc, she inclined her head.
"I'm Nightingale. Do I get a name before we begin?"
I've made some additions to the front page regarding our ''realistic'' roleplay, so kindly take a look peoples.
Name: Nikolaus “Niki/Niko/Klaus/Nik-nik/Whatever Leo comes up with next” Aliksen
Age: 36
Race: Nord – half Imperial, although it doesn’t show.
Class: Paladin Judge

Appearance: Looking every part the Nord, Niko stands at a towering height of 6’7, with the muscley build of someone who works his sword every day. His shaggy, dark blonde hair sweeps down to his shoulders, the fringes framing his face in tied braids to keep it out of his eyes, which are a startlingly stormy grey-blue. He has pale skin, with the slightest remainder of a tan from his time living in Cyrodiil, which is dotted with scars here and there from his run-ins with trouble in the past. Although he can look a daunting target, he can easily light up a room with his dimpled smile, which is accentuated by his short blond beard, and suits his handsome, weathered face well.

Personality: Far more mature than his childhood friend, Niko can enjoy a few laughs, but for the majority of the time out in serious situations, he keeps a fairly stoic attitude. He is respectful to those worthy of respect – whether they be evil or not – but he will not tolerate any form on injustice or cruelty. Wanting to be an adventurer does not necessarily mean that he has to take part in torturing; he believes in doling out quick deaths for his attackers, for he is a man with rules. And he likes to follow those rules, no matter what. Because of this, it’s hard to snap his temper, but when it does snap, it is not wise to stick around for long. Another important mention of his personality is his kindness – unlike the majority of his Nordic kin, he does not discriminate others for their race, gender, religion... whatever. Unless they’re something really sick like a cannibal (I mean c’mon guys, that’s just NASTAY.), he’ll treat them with the same amount of fairness as he would any other person... until he finds out more about them.

Bio: Niko has a Nord Father and an Imperial Mother – who just happened to be the sister of Leo’s Mother. The two families living together in their large Cheydinhal home, Niko saw Leo as the younger brother his parents had never given him. Treating him as his kin and his dearest friend, the two had a fine childhood despite the War, losing themselves in their imaginations to avoid all the bloodshed that their parents worried so much about. Leo would always dream up new inventions and Niko would humour him countlessly. However, when Leo’s dreams because a bit more real as they grew up, Niko felt he had no choice than to journey with his younger cousin; one, for they had been brothers, and going separate ways would hurt too much; and two; Leo needed protecting. With all his genius wonderings, it was amazing how often he could forget simple things like eating, and more dangerous things like bandits on the road. Putting his own dreams of adventuring on hold, Niko journeyed with Leo, even picking up more interests as they went towards Markarth. Taking a particular interest in the Ayleid, Akaviri and Dwemer, he eventually tracked down a scholar who taught him how to speak the various different languages, and he became immersed in the history of them. With countless tomes of lost civilisations to read, and manuscripts to translate for Leo’s newest contraptions, Niko quelled his lust for adventure for a good few years.
However, now that the dragons have returned, his feet began to itch once more. Although not asking Leo if he wanted to leave, he was thrilled one day to find his cousin packing up shop, and announcing that it was time to kill some dragons with that big, dopey grin on his face. And so, the two journeyed out once more, to join the legendary Dovayfeyn.
Equipment: Although Leo had provided plenty of prototype weapons and armour for Niko, he politely declined most of them after a few memories of exploding chestplates and shields that electrocuted the wearer. Instead, he stuck with a fine set of regular, normal ebony armour that Leo modelled off the Wolf Armour that the Companions wore. Although similar to their armour, Leo replaced the steel with ebony, and deciding against the “pointless fur skirt”, as Leo had called it. The design is a bit more intricate, and still includes the wolf motifs; it also includes the boots, gauntlets and helmet, which Niko wears over a black cowl with a mask (Covering bottom half of face, as protection from rain, wind, etc.) with a Fortify Archery enchantment.
In terms of weapons, Leo decided some of Niko’s home-made improvements could actually be helpful. With him, he has a bow, about three dozen arrows, two longswords, and a hidden dagger tucked into his boot – all of which are ebony, and with various improvements; The bow has a drain life enchantment and razor sharp spikes running along the limbs (For when someone gets too up-close and personal, he can give them a nasty bash with this); the arrows explode after a few seconds post impact, in which tiny razors are shot in 360 degree radius, the maximum reaching 8 Feet away from impact point (This makes the arrows a bit chunkier than usual, so are less accurate than other arrows, and of course, are pointless for stealth missions. Because of this, he carries about 4 dozen extra steel arrows, with no enchantments.); the swords – like Leo’s warhammer – are booby-trapped in case a stranger attempts to pick them up, and have a medium fear enchantment. His dagger is just a regular dagger though. Last resort kinda thing.

Other: Dislikes horses, but loves dogs. He’d literally buy a dozen if he could feed them all.
