I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

Oh, also, a question for our GMs.

XxLyraxX has been offline for over a month now - and has been absent from this roleplay for even longer. Would you be able to reopen the second co-GM spot and re-open the Son of Poseidon spot too? I don't they're coming back... :(

As for face-claims, perhaps the God/Goddess has one preferred image that they use pretty much all the time, and just alters it in order to do some frick-frack with mortals. Or non-mortals, depending on which myth you're looking at.

Either way, I'm sure they settled on a final image - for example, Hermes is nearly always portrayed as a young man; Hephaestus is always portrayed as a disfigured dude, and Zeus always has his rockin' beard.

So, I like the idea of having F/C for their everyday image - at the very least it gives us an idea of what they may look like.
Obviously, if people share a Godly parent, you'll have to debate over it, but I highly doubt it'll cause many issues.
@ArenaSnow

Accepted! Looking forward to seeing him in play. :)
I think you'd be better off having the Dragonborn as an NPC, or maybe even have him/her dead following the end of the war. Otherwise that one person is going to be supremely overpowered, and it also takes up a lot of roles that other people may be interested in - such as head of Guilds and whatnot.

However, I am still interested. :)
Very interested! I'll have my CS done soon. :)
There was movement, deep within the forest.

Singular, to begin with. A lone figure stepping out of the shadows. If one were not familiar with Hogwarts: A History, it would be assumed that he had simply apparated into the forest. However, he had different means of travel.

He was soon joined with four other individuals - they did not speak with one another, and the four stayed apart from the head of their group. Cloaked in black, they walked as one with the night, slowly approaching the outer fringes of the forest, where the trees thinned, and a low mist clouded around their feet.

The head of the group came to a stop on a ridge, finally turning to address the others.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Our orders here tonight are not to kill." He said quietly - his accent was American, although one with a trained ear could detect a hint of something beneath it - European, perhaps. "If people get in the way, I want them stunned. Just leave me enough time to get the girl alone." He added. One of the people shuffled somewhat uncomfortably, then stepped forth.

"Darius, what about the Professors?" The woman asked, a slight tone of nervousness in her voice. "They are not first-years; and they would be quite happy to use curses on us. If we get captured, then-"

"Then I would expect you to keep your mouth shut. No matter the circumstances." He cut off her speech, his voice and gaze cold. Cowed by Darius, she fell silent, and fell back into place. Turning once more to look over the ridge, a smirk crept onto Darius's face as he saw faint lights in the distance.

The group were entering the forest.

"You have your orders, and you have the rendezvous point. If you have any problems with the plan..." Darius looked back towards the four, now grinning. "You can give your issues to Romanov. I'm sure he'd be quite happy to hear what you have to say."

With that, Darius leapt down the ridge, landing silently, and swiftly being swallowed up in the shadows. A collective shiver went through the group of four, and they dispersed, each heading towards the group.
This is still alive, right? :(
Roze was somewhat taken aback at Nolan's tone of voice with her - then again, he was a member of Slytherin. Another pang of guilt hit her, along the same question; Why had McGonagall acted so rashly? Hell, even when Umbridge had been at the school, the most she did was ban a couple of students from playing Quidditch - not that entire house.
Looking at Nolan, she shrugged at his question. He wasn't wrong.
"Well, yeah. But that was kinda because of Voldemort, Dementors, giant spiders, Death Eaters... stuff like that. I don't think we'll be encountering any of those things." She said, then paused, frowning slightly. "Apart from maybe the spiders. But my brother used to sneak into the forest all the time and he never saw any. He didn't see any Unicorns either - sorry Caelum." She added, turning to the slightly awe-struck girl who had spoken up.

As Roze felt a tug on her sleeve, she turned to see Dani, and her face split into a wide smile. She'd been getting a bit anxious - other than Dan, she didn't really have any friends; and if the look on the Slytherin's faces were enough to go by, she had a few enemies already.

"Heya Dani! How did your classes go? You must be pretty smart to be able to do non-verbal magic at our age." Roze said, with a hint of envy in her voice - although not in a negative manner. She did feel as though Dani had both advantages and disadvantages to her muteness - but being able to do non-verbal magic would be amazing to conquer. Especially in a dueling situation. When saying an incantation, it is often easy to interrupt your opponent by blasting them or something before they can get the words out. Non-verbal magic would overcome that issue.

Before Roze could say anything else, a newcomer to the group alerted the First-Years to the beginning of their detention. The guy was a newbie, like he had said - but he looked kinda young to be a teacher.

"Huh. I wonder where they got this guy from." Roze murmured to Dani as they began filing into the forest.
As the new voice pierced the quiet of the night, Roze turned swiftly, her eyes doing a small double-take at the appearance of the young man before her. He didn't look to be any older than herself, but as for his species... he didn't have any characteristics of a Lycan or a Vampire... but, shit, he wasn't a regular old human.

"...I'm Roze." She said after a moment of hesitation, turning fully to face Rowan. He had a hint of a foreign accent about him, and seemed to be rather chipper for a hunter. Roze unfolded her arms casually, placing a hand on her hip. She'd prefer to have her hands free around strangers - far easier to go for a knife when you haven't tangled yourself up.

"Yeah, I just arrived. This place sure is..." She trailed off, glancing around at the dilapidated housing. "...cosy." She finally said with a smile. Well, at the very least she could say that she'd stayed in worse places.
Absent-mindedly rubbing her bare neck - the scars always seemed to ache somewhat in cold weather - she glanced up as the tolling of a bell sounded from the center of the community.

"Gods, I hope that's a dinner bell." She muttered hopefully, stomach growling as if to accentuate her words. Looking back at Rowan, she gave him another smile. "Care to accompany me to the town hall? I'm better company than some of the other things I've seen running about this place."

Sam knew he'd messed up as soon as the words left his mouth. Quite rightfully, Amelia's response was a severely negative one - although, thankfully, there was some anger there. He didn't think he would have been able to stand it if she'd been cold towards him. Not with the way he felt about her.

"Ah... jeez... Lia, I'm sorry. For everything. Especially that lame hello I just gave you." He said, running his hands over his face and then through his hair. "I just didn't think I had the right to hug you or anything. What I put you through was... pretty much unforgivable. I figured the last thing you wanted was me acting like your best friend again." He said, then paused, eyes widening ever so slightly as he realized his words. "Not that I'm saying that I don't want to be your friend anymore! I do, I just didn't want to act like things weren't any different... because they are. I made them different." He finished with a sigh, looking at the ground in a slightly dejected manner. "I'm not... being as eloquent as I'd like to be right now... I did miss you, Lia. A lot." He finished quietly yet sincerely, looking back up from the floor to stare into her eyes. They were still the same, sweet green that he remembered.

"And I hope you know me well enough to know that I wouldn't have left and stayed away without good reason. And... it was a pretty bad situation I was in two years ago." He added, brow furrowing slightly, his tone slightly darker at his own words - a ''bad'' situation? Way to play it down, Sammy.

"But I'm back for good now. And I'm here to fix things." He said, a hint of a smile playing at his lips as he stared at his oldest friend. "Can we do the whole reunion thing again?" He asked, arms opening hopefully. Shit - if she was too pissed to hug him, at the very least she could refuse it.

Once Roze was sat down at a table in the café and ordered some food, she felt much more at ease with herself. It was a fairly cosy atmosphere, despite not many people being in it. Once her panini and drink had been brought to her table, she settled back, digging through her backpack until she pulled out a battered copy of The Two Towers.

"Ah, Tolkien. The eternal, misogynistic genius." She thought to herself with a smile as she found where she had left off the last time - Chapter five; The White Rider.

As she read, she absent-mindedly rubbed her finger around the rim of her glass - unknowingly creating a mini-whirpool within her cola as she did. Apparently the hydrokinesis didn't stop at plain water.
