So first I'd like to say I'm resurrected, i used to have an account on here back in 2016 but got really busy, so I thought I'd try again with something kinda complicated😆.
So I've been playing MK11 almost non-stop since release, and as a anthropology major i've been thinking about the politics of Outworld and how the unaccapting nature of it is just begging for a world war. Further complicating things is the Kitana Liu Kang love interest...I doubt their geneticly compatable meaning peace on Outworld has a single generation shelf life.
Thats where I'd like this story to take place. Kitana Kahn has died leaving no heir to the throne, leaving the races and factions of the world to fill the power gap. Now originality is very important to me so I want it clear that playing as a established MK character is forbidden, enough time has past that they are dead. If they are incable of this then they are staying out of the Konflict(😉). Obviously they can ve mentioned and referenced but please no "I am the daughter of Jade even though my Role player playes me exactly like her in every way".
How I'd like to do this is sort of like a nation RP where you describe how your race/faction works and is organized, yet the foucus is on your own character leading them whether that be a general, warrior, prince/princess, politician however you can fit them in the larger struggle is fine. Then a user with no character or faction works as a sort of judge. He/she will have acces to information about your faction or armies the other players won't and then should conflict occur in the rp he/she will hear are plans outside of the general forum give us what information we would have access to, judge our decisions and determine a winner similar to an arena RP. The end objective being or appointing a new Kahn of Outworld. Also personally I'd rather be a player in MK game of thrones but if we can't find a satisfactory judge I'll do it😆.
As for factions I'd prefer if everyone stuck to the lore, but if a race is thematically appropriate I'll consider it. Same thing goes for characters from other realms than Outworld, please have a good reason why they are interfering with outworld. If in the lore they are critically underpopulated (like the Zanterrians) remember that a large amount of time has passed and if Ed Boon is okay with time shenanigans so are we!
This is just an interest check to see if people like the idea so dont worry about set character sheets just yet. I'm just seeing if I need to give up or alter this idea. If interested please post in here and give a basic overview of your character and their faction they are representing.
My character idea is a Tarkatan warrior who is furious over the mistreatment if his people and the attemot to shame and tame their traditional ways. He is an excellent warrior and a passionate speaker, yet inexperienced at leading the Tarkatan hordes. His objective is to allow his people to seize their own destiny and to never again be the foot-soldiers of every despot who claims outworld. He despises the Osh-Teks and will not entertain the thought of peace citing the genocide of his race by Kotal Kahn after the civil war with Mileena as a more horrendous crime than anything Shao Kahn or Onaga had ever commited.
Please let me know if your interested or you'd like to see this done differently. Also don't be afraid to ask questions.
