Bio

I'm an adult (most of the time) so I enjoy mature content and good stories. Most of the time you'll find me in some Sci Fi thing or another but I do sometimes end up in fantasy roleplays and ,in very rare occasions, slice of life stuff. I've dabbled in other sections of the GUild over the years but Casual Sci Fi seems to be my comfort zone. I'm probably the least intimidating person you'll ever meet and I'm always open to suggestions. I look forward to making some great stories with you all!

If this is an illusion then wouldn't Gabriel still get burned when he left the conference room?

'You build robots? That's so cool!' Able said, eyes sparkling. It wasn't everyday that you met someone with prosthetic legs, after all, and he was glad that the one person he met with prosthetic legs was friendlier than she first appeared. He didn't mind the pronunciation of his name, he found it hard to say many Japanese style names, so it didn't bother him if someone had trouble with his name. Maybe he would already make a new friend. It was shaping up to be a good day!'You must be really smart! I don't know how I'm in rank B myself. I'm not that great' Able said with a sheepish grin. 'Nice to meet you, Kobayashi-San! What subjects are you doing, by the way?'

Kimiko had almost forgotten what classes she had taken for the year. "Hmm... robotics, computer science, calculus, applied science, biology, a~~nd general PE. I think that's all of them. I already have plans to build an ASIMO or something similar. My father works for Honda so he's going to get me some parts. I think I'll make it taller though. Which means I'll have to adjust the parameters for balance. Also, coordination software... Kimiko went on for a bit about the changes necessary to build her first robot of the year.

She realized she was rambling about it and decided to change the subject to spare him the headache. She had become accustomed to discussing the finer points of robotics with her father, there were many nights where she had stayed up late talking with him, her mother would just smile and serve them tea. Most of her friends in school just ignored her rambling and left her to her own devices. It was easy for Kimiko to get lost in her work. "What about your classes? Are you taking anything interesting?"
Couldn't Spark literally just drain all the power from the grid and shut everything down? That would eliminate the need for anyone else to mess with the cameras and any other types of security aside from personnel.
Spark idled by the exposed power outlet and leaned against the wall. "So what exactly is your plan then, Roxy? Since you seem to have an answer for everything."
The man who appeared from nowhere was probably a member of the student council or the disciplinary committee. Assuming that Zandore Academy worked like other Japanese schools that was the logical conclusion. He had a mysterious air about him and he didn't seem like he really wanted to be there. He finished his speech and promptly left the room but Kimiko still had questions. She tried to raise her hand ad get his attention but he was already gone. That's when she noticed the envelope. She started to swing her legs back and forth as the chair was slightly too tall for her to reach the floor. Upon opening her envelope she saw that she was a Rank C student residing in West View with a weekly allowance of 10 000¥. It wasn't really all that much but she knew she could always call her father if she really needed money.

She head the boy next to her speak. "So... What do we do now?" His accent was clearly foreign but she hadn't actually met any foreigners until now so she had no idea what kind of accent it was. Glancing over towards him she noticed his envelope. "Wow you're a Rank B Student? I'm only a Rank C! What was your name again? Jo...n...san...Ei...bu...ru?" She tried her best not to butcher his name. "I'm Kobayashi Kimiko, nice to meet you Jonsan San. I bet you've never met a cyborg before. Well now you have!" Kimiko put on a big grin. First impressions were important after all and she didn't want a foreigner to think that Japanese people were rude or something. Besides she might be able to learn some real English as opposed to the few words she picked up from watching anime. "How did you get to be Rank B anyway? I mean I build robots and I'm only Rank C so you must be pretty amazing to be a rank higher.
"Shit!" Roxy was right she had completely forgotten about the security in the room. Now that she knew where everything in the room was though she could turn off the surveillance equipment without so much as flinching. "What a fuckin' rookie mistake, I guess bein' in New York State Penitentiary made me soft." She didn't want to let on that she had actually gained a lot from tapping into the local power grid. She knew the layout of the entire facility now and it would be a lot easier for them to get around if she could find a place to make a map in secret. "Since you seem to know so much about the old man Roxy, why don't you fill us in on any other useful information you have so we can all be informed."
Quick question: Where do you live? I lived in Nagoya and I was making about 120 000¥ a month, that's 30 000¥ per week and I was a store clerk at the time. 20 000¥ paid for travel expenses to/from work and food for three or four days depending on how much fuel I used. Although given that as students we aren't paying bills for our dorms and most of the food is free it seems more reasonable.
The weekly allowances seem a lot lower then I expected. I don't know about you guys but I used to spend 20000 yen in about three days.

Also, you forgot to add NarcissisticPotato and LordSanta's characters to the roster.

It seemed like Spark was right and Vlad was basically asking for the impossible. "Completely undetected..." In truth if Cassandra could really go invisible then she and Spark could do the entire mission on their own, not that Vlad would let them do it that way. She got up from the bleachers, walked over to a power outlet, and ripped off the cover. "Alright old man. you wanna play games, I'll fuckin' play." Spark put both her hands inside the outlet, connecting her to the entire power grid. The amount of energy running through the facility was enormous and having it run through her was euphoric. "Gāisǐ de!(Damn!)... this is almost as good as fucking!..." It took her a moment to compose herself. "Alright then, gimme a sec' kiddos, I'm gonna find out where the hell everything is."

Spark had to concentrate but she could 'see' the different routes where power was running. It was a vast network of highways. Several signals were separate but still connected to the grid, she assumed by their position that they were the guard's radios. Vlad had given her just enough information to tell the difference between guards, cameras, and other systems. The faint signals at each intersection were guard radios which meant she could keep track of guard movements and the signals arranged in pairs of four at ten foot intervals were the cameras. She couldn't tell what the cameras could see but she could turn them off at a moments notice or set them to loop the same signal repeatedly and as far as guards were concerned she could at least track their movements.

It wasn't really her style to play a support role, she would much rather have just fried the security system and knocked out any guards along the way but Vlad had to make things difficult. "Hey Roxy, I know I ain't the damn boss but listen for a minute. I got a plan, well, I got most of a plan. Seein' as I can track all the guards and deal with the fuckin' cameras I should stay behind, besides subtlety isn't really my style. First, we're gonna need communication equipment. That means we'll have to steal some guard radios and set them to a different frequency so we can all keep in contact. Once we have those then everyone but Roxy and myself should be sent out in secret to hidden positions waiting for the next phase of the plan. As for the stealthiest people in our group they'll be the ones actively searching for the girl in phase two, that means Cassandra and Allison unless anyone else can go invisible or phase through walls. Everyone else should be ready to make some noise to give the guards the run around and keep them busy so that Cassandra and Allison can search without too much trouble. Once all that shit is ready Roxy can go report to the old man, if she reported to him before we got everything ready the old fuck would act against us and we'd be nailed before we could make any progress. In this mission Vlad is essentially the enemy commander so telling him our actual plan is fuckin' dumb. Instead, Roxy, you should make up some bullshit to tell the old man so he'll have no idea how to stop us. Roxy will give the signal for phase two once she's reported to the old man, when she does I'll black out the lights and cameras. Then, everyone else can start causing distractions to lead guards away while the search party looks for the girl. Once we find her and break her out of her cell we can use our diversion team to make a path for the search party's escape. At least that's how it works in my head. Anybody got a better idea?"
Spark followed Vlad's orders and took a seat between Alastair and Flippy. She ignored Alastair's comment and listened for the mission information. "We're looking for a little brat inside this facility. We've gotta stay outta sight, and I assume everyone has to participate." It seemed like a mission better suited for only one or two people at best but having all of them in the field simultaneously was practically asking for disaster. Small teams were always better when stealth was essential. Vlad was probably setting them up for failure at this point. She wouldn't put it past him to task them with the impossible knowing that they wouldn't succeed. "Is that all the info we start with? Also what about the rules of engagement? Are we at least allowed non-lethal force?"
