Bio

I'm an adult (most of the time) so I enjoy mature content and good stories. Most of the time you'll find me in some Sci Fi thing or another but I do sometimes end up in fantasy roleplays and ,in very rare occasions, slice of life stuff. I've dabbled in other sections of the GUild over the years but Casual Sci Fi seems to be my comfort zone. I'm probably the least intimidating person you'll ever meet and I'm always open to suggestions. I look forward to making some great stories with you all!

I'm most definitely going to be a cat because ninja are awesome. Will post my CS here when it's finished.
This sounds exactly like what I've been looking for. Can't wait to get started.
Interested but also question: Would we play as both Weapon & Meister or would we be a Weapon that has to find a Meister and vice versa? Personally I think the latter is more interesting.
Women were members of the Bushi as well as men. Also interested.
Should I go ahead and post my character sheet here or wait for the "proper" OOC?
I have been waiting for the rest of the squad to get a chance to post.
Actually, considering that this is an Alternate Universe and Esailia was so enthusiastic about joining, I have decided to make a compromise. To be honest, stranger things have happened in the Cowboy Bebop universe: Mad Pierrot had a device that allowed him to float around in the air and deflect bullets, Ein (the dog) was given the intelligence of a grown man and even used a computer to hack into a cult website, and Wen was a 120 year old boy who never aged. So despite the underlying tone of "Wild West in space" technological marvels do exist in rare occasions. Esailia and I have come up with something that I think can work well enough in our story but if the rest of you have strong objections then we can explore different options.
Thank you Mahz for being great. Much love to you!
One more round of posts and I'll get on to the briefing about the arms dealer Alejandro Ruiz. The Captain is going to give the crew different choices on how they want to approach this bounty so that you can all have a part in the decision of how the roleplay will go from here. Let me know if you like the pace of the RP or have any suggestions!
Arriving at Ganymede
While the Captain was understanding of their grief she really didn't like the idea of working for criminals. Ironic as it may be that most of her crew had a history of criminal activity, she wasn't willing to give up her own integrity for the sake of paying bills. She had seen too many good officers head down that road before and it never had a happy ending. Sara appreciated their intent but made it clear that she had no desire to pursue the opportunity. Eventually they reached the point where they would be exiting the hyperspace highway of the Astral Gate and returning to normal space. Her cigarette had long since burned out and so she tossed it in the ashtray on the table as she got up to head to the bridge. Before she left the Rec Room Sara made one final remark, "Don't lose faith in me yet boys. We'll get through this slump, we always do." She only hoped it was true.

In orbit above Ganymede
Ten minutes from gate to orbit felt like an eternity as the retro thrust engines put them in geostationary orbit above the ISSP headquarters in Ganymede's capital, Sara had performed the maneuver hundreds of times before. She got up from the helm to answer a call at the comm station as a familiar face popped up on the view screen. A relatively young clean cut man with more hair spray than a prostitute at a photo shoot.

"Well, if it isn't the free bird herself!"
"What?"
"Lynyrd Skynyrd?"
"You know I don't listen to classical music, Marcus"
"Your loss, babe. I take it you didn't just drop by to see my handsome face again?"
"You disappointed? I'm here for the Harrison bounty, and don't call me Babe. I used to be your superior officer you know."
"Sure, you 'used to be'. Anyway, there aren't too many bounties out to be had lately, which is ironic since ISSP can barely cover the whole system on it's own. But hey, don't worry about that Harrison punk he's small time. I've got something you'll really want to see."
"Alright, what have you got?"
"It was just posted this morning, an arms dealer from Tijuanna moved in a couple weeks ago and he's been making some noise on the east side, expanding his business throughout the docks in New Birmingham. This guys worth 120 000 woolongs but only if he's captured alive, if you kill him you only get half but even then he's worth ten times that punk you came here for. I'll send you all the information we have on him."
"That's great! The boys will love to hear about this."
"The guy's name is Alejandro Ruiz, but Sara... I know you're good at what you do..."
"Yeah?"
"This guys no joke. He's dangerous and he's got muscle to back him up. Even the local hoods won't go near this guy. Watch your back okay?"
"My team's no joke either but... thanks, Marcus. We'll talk again soon."
"How about over dinner? I know a nice place whe-"
"Goodbye, Marcus."

Sara cut the transmission before he could finish and headed down to the Rec Room where she had gathered the crew. They would surely be excited once she told them that they were heading for a big payout.
