Hello ! I go by Milk (30+), and I’ve been roleplaying for about 15 years on and off, originally on Gaia Online. With that space not really improving, I started looking elsewhere to scratch my RP itch. I primarily write in French and then translate my posts into English—I find it helps me keep the right tone and vibe in my writing cause I feel like I'm just better in french LMAO.
Here's what I like! →Character-driven, slow-burn storytelling →Deep worldbuilding and shared lore →Fantasy, dark fantasy, gothic, and high-magic settings →Sci-fi / space opera with political or interpersonal tension →Court intrigue, power dynamics, and morally gray characters →Found family, uneasy alliances, and complicated bonds →Soft moments amid darker themes (quiet conversations, rituals, tea scenes, etc.) →Long-form posts with atmosphere, introspection, and detail—I'm a mirror writer
RP Style Notes →Plot > shock value →Emotional weight and consequences matter →I enjoy collaborative plotting and checking in OOC →Group or 1x1 setting
Here's what I don't particularly enjoy! →One-liners or rushed replies →Purely combat-focused RP with no emotional or narrative weight →Shock value for the sake of shock (gratuitous violence, cruelty, or edge) →Ignoring established consequences →Forcing romance and whatnot without prior discussion →Chaotic plotting with no direction or payoff →Constant retconning or disregard for shared lore—without reason →OOC drama or pressure around reply speed—there are limits →Bigotry of any kind (OOC or IC without narrative purpose and consent)
