Blake Belladonna, Museum world

"Ignore her, she loves trying to wind people up." Blake rested a hand on Kanji's arm and looking significantly more relaxed now that Cinder was locked up. She did turn to the Agents guarding the box, her expression serious. "I disarmed her after the fight, but she'll have healed herself soon. You should contact me if she tries anything, she's from an alternate of my world."

"I've never heard of Inaba or Japan." She said as she turned back to Kanji, frowning thoughtfully. "Have you traveled like this before?"

The small team of agents combed through the remains of the black-market operation, looking for any clue that the local unit might have missed. The breakthrough came when Mach Caliber hooked into an isolated computer database and started pulling up records and journal entries.

"Hmm, here's something." Subaru said, flicking through a holographic terminal in front of her. The young agent seemed to be a little less peppy than she had been earlier - not surprising, perhaps, considering how much blood they'd had to step through to get this far. "I think this might be their only base. I'm not seeing any mentions of other major operations. I'm gonna send all this data to HQ anyway." She turned to give Dedede a grin. "I think this just about wraps it up."

"Crawled out of the..." Blake trailed off and pinched the bridge of her nose, closing her eyes for a moment in the face of the boy's cocky grin. Was he completely ignorant of the multiverse? Had he only just dimension-hopped? And he'd just... jumped into the burning museum anyway?

"Well, that's... commendable." She said after a moment, sighing slightly. "What's your name? And where are you from?"

As the group paused, Blake turned to look back at the museum, frowning sadly as her hair and bow flapped in the hot wind. The loss of all that information sent a flash of outrage through her chest, and she shot a small glare at Cinder. Another crime to lay at her feet, hers and the group she'd been fighting. As the UMMA squad headed their way, she pointedly gestured towards the holding chamber with her weapon.

"Inside. And don't even think about trying anything."
Considering all the more important thing that are happening and how long I was gone due to internet troubles, I'm just going to drop and stop tying up Minder and ToadRopes characters.

That's a shame, you're a pretty good writer. Come back when you can ^^

Anyway, for everyone else involved in the crime scene plot, does anyone else feel like resolving it fairly quickly, with just a post or two?

Blake's eyebrows furrowed as she looked up at the taller boy, frowning at his response and the cnfusion on his face. "I thought - You're not with the UMMA?" She asked, a little incredulous. "What were you doing in the museum, then? I thought we cleared all teh civilians out."
Blake Belladonna, leaving the museum

While Blake wasn't being rough with the injured Cinder, she wasn't exactly going out of her way to treat her gently. The Dust vials had gone into an empty pouch on her own belt, although she'd hesitated for a second as she picked up the Black Dust. A shiver went down her spine, and she hurriedly put it away too, resolving to hand it over to the UMMA as soon as possible.

The faunus had also winced as she saw Dlanor's wound, but she'd read about the inquisitor's healing capabilities and wasn't quite as worried. She turned to inspect the third member of the small party, her yellow eyes inspecting him cooly now that they weren't in the middle of a battle.

"Are you the only other agent in the area?" She asked Kanji after a moment, raising one eyebrow slightly.
Why is a ribbon considered adequate for restraining dangerous criminals?

It's a combat ribbon, of course!

There's always the possibility that the one clinic was the extent of it.

That's probably the best approach, yeah.

Blake's expression was grim as she nodded and stepped forward, circling around behind Cinder as Dlanor held her at sword-point. She restrained her like she'd tied up the Shadow Eternity agent back on the Tangrissnir - she forced the woman's arms behind her back and bound her wrists and forearms with the ribbon from Gambol Shroud.

''The local authorities should have something more... long-term,'' She thought to herself as she started patting Cinder down for any more weapons or Dust vials.

Subaru Nakajima, Yggdrasil Crime Scene

Subaru looked up at the leather-clad hunter and smiled, the expression lighting up her face. "Of course you can help us - you're the only one here who's familiar with the disease." She clapped the man on the arm. "I'll authorise you as a, uh... an expert asset!"

"Now, the first place to look would be the facility behind us, where Mr Gerhardt was summoned." She said, turning back to face her small party as a whole. "Even if you already searched it, you're right - there might be leads you didn't have the experience to recognise."

With that, the blue-haired girl waved one of the local agents over, and son the trio were being led back towards the crime scene...
OK, so, I've posted for Blake, but I'm going to have to figure out some sort of shortcut or hand-wave for the blood plague plot. I just don't have the time to run a scene ATM.

Blake had to admit, Cinder's surrender caught her somewhat by surprise. She hadn't expected her to go down fighting, but retreating to wherever she'd set up her base had been her first assumption. Cinder had to have attacked the museum for a reason, she must have some plan in motion, and the Faunus doubted she'd throw that away just because she was outnumbered.

"Be careful." She warned her allies, voice cold as she kept her weapon trained on Cinder. "She's up to something. She's always up to something."

"My Cinder is rotting in a jail cell." Blake retorted, before the pair clashed again. This time, Blake kept her distance, using her clones to stay a step ahead of the worst of Cinder's attacks, finding it easier to dodge and deflect her arrows than continue fighting in sword range. She had time on her side - she had allies, and she wasn't injured.

Not that much time, though... She thought as a gust of hot, spark-laden air rushed through the room from deeper inside the burning museum. Her Aura would protect her against the heat, but it was taking a beating from Cinder's onslaught and wouldn't hold out forever. There was a crash on the other side of the room - the Inquisitor, as far as Blake could tell, sending her opponent through the wall, or maybe it was just the building finally starting to come apart.

Blake almost missed the sound of the card shattering amid the commotion, but she did notice the huge, robotic-looking figure materialise and attack the last remaining beowolf. Judging by his shouted instructions, it was under the new guy's control. So he does have more than a metal plate, she thought to herself, smiling slightly, before darting in to take advantage of the distraction. As Kanji charged at Cinder, Blake feinted high with a clone, then ducked low to sweep the other woman's legs out from under her.
