Larel was on his last bowl when he heard Mary's voice in his head, he shivered a little but made sure to listen to her message. He wasn't sure how to explain it but he felt like she was right next to him when she spoke to him like this, strangely he didn't mind it otherwise. Larel sighed as that meant he was used to someone speaking in his head but he put that aside and raised his bowl downing it in one go before standing up. He stuffed a dango into his sleeve before walking out the building. Hotaru wasn't telling them everything going on in her head that's what Mary said.
A small sigh escaped from Larel as he walked away making his way to a place where he could find someone the world wouldn't miss, he couldn't blame Hotaru for not telling them everything, until his master came along he never talked about Zenmaru even when she killed someone. Larel shook his head pushing the thought aside, in the end it didn't matter why Hotaru didn't tell him she just needed help so that was enough for him to do something.
Larel stopped in front of a medium sized building, it was one of the few places he hated almost as much as Alari. He could feel a nauseating feeling in his stomach just standing in front of it but he made a fist as he needed to help Hotaru and this place had the information he wanted.
"Alright Larel it's to help Hotaru," Larel said more to himself than out loud. "It's just a building.....with women."
Larel walked into the brothel hesitating for a moment but quickly moving inside changing his appearance back to Mela, once he was fully in he handed his sword to one of the women before heading into the main room, once he was inside a courtesan came to see him, she offered him something to drink but he declined saying he just wanted to get down to business. The courtesan nodded and sat down very formally a few feet in front of him. She gave a deep bow before lifting her head, Larel had to accompany some of his masters into places like this often which is the only reason he could step into it now.
"Feel free to stay at that distance," Larel said holding his hand up.
"A shy one how adorable," the courtesan said smiling.
"I'm just here for business not pleasure," Larel said deciding to ignore her comment.
"Pleasure is my business young master."
Larel's eye twitched seeing that smile on her face, he closed his eyes for a moment before speaking again.
"I'm sure you got a recent...addition to your little family here, I would assume for an unpaid debt from a father or boyfriend. I'd like you give me a name and location of one of them."
The courtesan's smile faded and she gave a small shake of her head before shrugging slightly.
"I'm afraid I can't share our business with strangers," the courtesan said staring at him a dangerous look in her eyes. It was a look he was used too seeing, a silent way of telling him not to pursue the matter any further.
Larel reached in his sleeve and pulled out the gold coin he was going to use for the blacksmith, seeing it the courtesan slowly stood up and against Larel's earlier request walked over to him and took a seat. Larel leaned away slightly as she reached over and took the coin from him before her smile returned.
"We did get a young lady here not too long ago, her father's drinking and gambling habits caught up to him and she ended up in our employ. His name is Kimura and he's more than likely at the pub at this time of the day."
Larel stood up and with a small bow thanked her before going to leave, however as he took a few steps away the courtesan spoke to him.
"Feel free to come by again," she said waving to him.
"Oh trust me I will," Larel said glancing back at her. "Next time I walk in you may want to run."
The courtesan arched a brow as Larel walked away, he grabbed his sword on the way out making a mental note on the location of it. Next time he came back it wouldn't be able to serve as a brothel anymore.
Larel walked outside changing back to his normal appearance before falling to his hands and knees, he let out a very long sigh hating every minute of that situation but courtesans met with all kinds of people, powerful and corrupt sometimes both. He went to them when he needed to find high class target's and it never failed that they had the information, of course a little gold was needed to make them remember.
"Alright...better head to the pub," Larel said standing up and making his way there.

Kaori grinned and clapped his hands together glad someone was willing to listen, when Eryn mentioned getting crushed Kaori brought a hand to his chin. The idea of someone's art being lost because of others actually made his heart hurt, he put his hand over his chest closing his eyes for a moment.
When Eryn spoke to him again he looked over at him and smiled as it was true not many openly liked his artwork, though he did find very few that thanked him for his work, it mostly elders sadly.
Feeling Eryn put a hand on his shoulder his brow arched a little especially at the intimacy part, if it was such a thing then why didn't people want to see it that whole thing bothered him but at the mention of losing his spark Kaori's eyes looked at the ground.
He gripped his kimono with both hands as Eryn looked back at the village, he lifted his head and stared into the forest a distant look in his eyes as he released his grip.
"I won't lose it," Kaori mumbled. "It'd be an insult to my sensei and myself if I stopped now and all the suffering I've endured....I've already lost the person I trusted."
Kaori clenched his fist before letting out a long sigh taking a moment to calm himself before folding his hands behind his back, he would create his masterpiece and when that time came he would show it to his sensei and show him how far he's come along.
"Still I gotta say Eryn-san you seem to able to bring the beauty out of people, well not saying Taru-chan and Mera-dono weren't already but it was impressive."

Alari smiled a little as he listened to Mera, he was still getting used to others being concerned for him and he couldn't say anything at the mention of him doing it anyway. Sadly it was true as he intended on going. He was well aware he wasn't back at full power yet but he didn't have time to hesitate, Alari would do what he needed to make sure Ai and Larel never met, he couldn't risk the consequences that would follow if things went too far.
His eyes widened a little when Mera mentioned helping, he wasn't sure what to say to that so all he could was stare in silence but he did catch that her tone seemed to shift a little as she spoke to him. Alari brought his hand to his chin before leaning back a little catching the 'unfair' that came from Mera deciding not to comment. Alari rubbed the side of his head not exactly able to disagree with her, he had learned more than he could have imagined about Mera, he literally got to see her as a child playing with her siblings, learned about her family and he knew things about her as well. There was still so much he wanted to know but it was true he hadn't shared much about himself.
When she pointed at him he chuckled a little putting his hand over his mouth to try and hide it a bit, once he stopped he removed his glasses and gave a small nod.
"I'll make sure to return the favor," Alari said smiling. "I'll be alright going off and just having someone a little worried is enough. It'll be a good reminder that I shouldn't take unnecessary risks. Ah that's only if I'm not assuming the wrong thing."
Alari messed with his glasses a bit at the idea, it was a strange feeling he didn't want to worry Mera but he was also happy at the possibility, he didn't quite understand it so he decided not to say anymore on it.
"Oh since no one can hear us my favorite food is Miso soup," he said with a small smile. "Its simple but it's good for you and easy to make so I ate it often when I traveled on my own, there's a certain art to it in a way. It's not much but I hope that shows I'll keep my word."
Yo I'm here and ready to go and I'm looking forward to it.
Larel listened to Hotaru bringing a hand to his chin, he was glad at least Sybil wasn't causing too much trouble but the 'strike out' part bothered him a bit. Larel rubbed the side of his head as they walked in the inn a small sigh escaping from him. When Hotaru spoke about the game he offered a small smile as she took out her money, he admitted he felt a bit bad he couldn't pay for the room. It was part of his employment of course but every now and then he wondered if he should return the favor, his thoughts were pulled from the idea when Hotaru handed him the coins. He blinked a few times not sure what it was for until she mentioned the food, his eyes widened as he stared at the money in his hand, he only offered a nod as Hotaru mentioned getting the room. Larel watched Raina leave with Hotaru before he looked over at Mary, just staring at her sent chills up his spine and he ended up averting his eyes.
He knew he couldn't ignore her she was Mera's sister but trying to talk to her wasn't an option either, normally he just wouldn't bother with interacting but Mary was an exception. Larel had a duty to her sister and Mera cared for Mary which meant protecting her was a part of his servitude. In order to do that he had to be able to at least speak with her.
"Mary-san," Larel said looking over at her.
He felt himself pause as that familiar sinking feeling filled him, he took a deep breath glad she kept some distance from him, it definitely made it easier.
"If you feel hungry I'll be at the restaurant, I'll probably buy eight bowls of Yakisoba so I can give you one. I mean I'll have to ask you to sit a table away but I'll share with you. If not Hotaru's taking care of the rooms so just go with her."
Larel turned around and walked out of the inn before heading towards the building sticking the gold coins in his sleeve, once he made it to the building true to his word he ordered eight bowls of yakisoba and five pieces of dango along with some tea. He held onto one of the gold pieces in case he had to go to a blacksmith later before clapping his hands together.
"Thanks for the food," he said picking up one of the bowls and digging in.

Alari looked over at Mera his shoulders drooping a little as she asked where he was going, he kind of hoped she wouldn't touch on that. When she got closer his eyebrows arched but he didn't really have room to back away so he just ended up staring at her remaining motionless. He ran a hand through his hair at the idea of answering in his normal fashion with Mera, he didn't want to but he kept the truth to himself for a reason and he couldn't deny that.
When Eryn spoke Alari's eyes widened a little bit especially seeing the tint on Mera's cheeks, he pushed his glasses up a little ashamed he didn't catch what Mera truly wanted. He crossed his arms at the idea of speaking with her about it not completely against the idea. He did smile when she mentioned Eryn trying to be a cupid, he'd be lying if he didn't appreciate it a little bit.

Kaori followed Eryn his eyes shining at the idea of talking about his art, Alari knew he wouldn't be able to resist talking about that it was something very dear to him after all.
Once they were far enough away Kaori started speaking the excitement clear in his voice, there weren't many people willing to listen so he was glad to have the opportunity.
"I love the natural beauty of the bare body Eryn-san. The slight curves, the movements that seem almost mystical in a sense I never tire of painting it no matter who it is, young, old, male, female, noble, poor each body has it's own style to it that just pulls at me. I mean how can you not see it as beautiful, it takes two people just to make one and some say that higher powers help form them depending on who you ask. I love painting a bare body in any position possible, I believe front is the best but painting from the back can be mysterious yet alluring depending on how you present it. I found my love for it while I was still with my sensei, the natural form of all living things ah just thinking about it makes me happy. One day I'll create a piece that's beauty will cause wars to stop and people to weep in joy at a representation of beauty shown through the body. Nothing to hide, nothing to be ashamed of, an innocence that pulls at the heart. Even those who sin could look upon the work and see the pureness that lingers deep within them still."

Alari closed his eyes finding his answer before he looked over at Mera, reaching up he removed his glasses and rubbed his eyes. Alari took a look around them glancing in the direction Larel had gone, he was far enough away by now and he didn't see anyone else in the area nor did he sense Zenmaru, he was sure Eryn or Kaori couldn't hear them so with a bit of hesitation he decided to give Mera an answer.
"I'm heading to the fishing village," he said putting his glasses back on. "Ever since I noticed it in the book its been on my mind, and something's been bothering me since it came up. Ai was definitely in the village, I'm positive she's not there now but one of her commanders probably is they're normally right behind her. When I saw Naria some time back I realized she was closer than thought, if her commander locates Larel and Ai finds out about it she'll come for him."
Alari brought a hand to his face at the very idea of it, he closed his eyes hating the possibility of it but it was literally a village away.
"Ai will kill Larel, he won't last three seconds against her," Alari said lowering his hand. "I've spent months just keeping her away from him, we've fought before and I wouldn't walk away unscathed from a fight with her which is inevitable, she views me as an obstacle and the sentiment is shared. I've tried speaking with her but she just attacks me without saying anything. I have to prevent any possibility of her meeting him."
Alari let out a long sigh and squeezed the bridge of his nose, he expected something like this eventually but the timing was worse than he expected.
"That's where I'm going," he said looking over at Mera. "Her men normally move at night so I'll catch them as they're traveling and lead them in the opposite direction of Ai. They'll know Larel is here but it'll buy more time at least and I'll be able to lead them in the wrong direction again, I already have Ai pursuing a ghost of Larel."
Alari let out a long sigh after his explanation and rubbed the back of his head, surprisingly he felt better letting a bit of that out but he knew he couldn't make it a habit.
"Please know that I don't want to keep things from you Mera. I have to keep my promise...but I want to tell you at the same time. Until Larel can open his eyes...I can't speak of anything."
Alari held his wrist with the bracelet his eyes drooping as he stared at it, he needed this constant reminder to do what was necessary and he couldn't allow himself to falter.
"I can't even answer his questions....he knows more about me than he believes," Alari mumbled. "One wrong word and his memory of me might return."
Alari quickly shook his head and slapped his cheeks, he couldn't permit himself to get lost in his thoughts like that he had a job to do.
"I apologize Mera you didn't need to see that," he said rubbing the back of his head. "I haven't allowed myself a moment like that so once it got out I couldn't stop. You must have some kind of spell on me I should be careful might start telling you all my secrets that'd ruin the fun of discovery wouldn't it?
Larel walked ahead glancing over in Mary's direction judging her distance from him, sad as it was to admit Alari was right he felt more comfortable this way. He wondered if he shoud try to say something to Mary but he feared he'd just end being rude again. He decided to focus on looking for the inn, getting Hotaru inside would be a good idea with the sun still up and Mera said Mary needed to rest.
"Mary...san," Larel said keeping his attention forward. "It doesn't have to be now but I'd like to ask a favor later on, I think getting Hotaru and you inside is important so we'll talk about it later."
Larel kept looking around the village which didn't seem all that large to him, at least compared to the one they just came from. He came to a complete stop as a smell hit his nose and his head quickly turned to find the source. His eyes landed on a small building a few feet away and he found it hard to pull his attention away. Larel would recognize that smell anywhere, there was dango in there and now that he was looking inside he could see people eating udon. His eyes twitched as he felt his hunger starting to surface again, Larel put his hand to his stomach he could hold out just a bit longer after just eating.
"I...may leave after we find the inn," Larel said walking forward again. "Oh there's the inn right there."
He pointed at the building before making his way over to it putting his hands in his sleeves, he couldn't get his mind off the food now which was making it even more difficult to ignore. He did find something else was occupying his mind and he could pursue it at the very least.
"Are you doing alright Hotaru?" Larel asked glancing back at her. "Unless she's been quiet you've probably had to deal with Sybil, if you want to talk about it just say so that's something I didn't have for a bit. Oh and we'll play some Go tonight, it's a good way to keep focus and it's even better under the moonlight."

Alari glanced over at Eryn and Mera seeing her point to the back of her hand, he smiled a little remembering what she had planned to put there. He leaned against a tree and crossed his arms as it seemed Eryn knew how to put tattoo's on Mera. Kaori looked over at Alari seeing his smile and felt like he was missing out on something, he'd normally ask but Kaori knew Alari wouldn't answer it so he just set the medicine box down and took a seat on top of it.
Alari's eyes twitched hearing the front of her torso was mentioned but he adjusted his glasses keeping his eyes closed, there were way too many things on his mind at the moment he needed to regain his focus. Kaori glanced over at him arching a brow seeing Alari look pensive, he'd seen that expression before something was weighing heavily on his mind. When Mera spoke to them Kaori looked over at Alari as he was just going to follow behind him.
"I don't mind waiting," Alari said opening his eyes. "The area's okay thankfully so Larel will be alright on his own for a moment. Besides tonight I'll have to check on a few things so I'd like to enjoy your company for a bit longer since I'll be away for a bit."
Alari looked over at Kaori who blinked as he stared at him, reaching over Alari put his hand on Kaori's head offering a small smile.
"I'll need you to keep an eye on everyone while I'm gone, I won't be gone long but knowing Zenmaru she'll attract trouble sooner or later. You know what to do if something happens."
Kaori lowered his gaze for a moment but nodded and Alari removed his hand, he didn't want to leave Kaori alone but things were too quiet on the youkai side near this village and he had a good feeling why.
Nah it's alright more than enough to work it. I'll have a post up later today.
Kenji rubbed the back of his head and grinned a little embarrassed to have it put so bluntly but she wasn't exactly wrong. He tilted his head not sure how to take what she just said about his offer but brought a hand to his chin giving a firm nod.
"Anytime the mood hits you just let me know, I'll show you good spot," Kenji said with a thumbs up. "If there's one thing I'm proud of it's my slacking off...though I suppose I shouldn't be proud of something like that."
There were plenty of spots around the school if one knew where to look, the teachers rarely checked certain areas depending on the time of day so it just made it all the better, he intended on keeping his favorite spots to himself though, it took forever to plan a schedule around them. Granted that only worked with teachers, the student council was a whole other matter their routine was a bit...harder to predict.
When she mentioned her relationship with Kazuko he nodded as a response, so she wasn't too close to her either the same as him, at the mention of talking with everyone Kenji rubbed the side of his head only to lower his arm as she spoke of Kazuko again.
"Hmmm speaking to everyone, you have a more patience then I do the whole thing seems tiresome really," Kenji said feeling tired just thinking about it. "I suppose anybody would worry but in the end all ya can do is just go with the flow."
Kenji put his hand to his stomach as he felt it growl, a nervous laugh escaped from him before he pointed to his right.
"I'm going to go get something to eat, I'll see you later Aiko-san," Kenji said before turning and walking away. He raised his hand goodbye to her before walking towards one of the small cafe's.
In another situation he may have invited her along but that wasn't going to happen, the context of the request was too open to interpretation that he decided to just leave it be. In a complicated way he basically didn't want it to seem like he was asking her somewhere, the last thing he wanted were more complications that and he was pretty sure it'd be a no. She might have laughed at him too it was a fifty-fifty chance.

Along the way he noticed the manga shop, if not for his hunger he'd seriously consider going inside however as he noticed the figure standing in front of it he felt his heart sink. That name he definitely remembered, Shion the cheerleader there was no way he was getting involved in whatever was going on there. Kenji dug in his backpack looking for something to disguise his face with, the cafe was just a block away crossing the street to avoid her just meant extra effort. He found one of his notebooks and brought it up to his face, he forgot his name was plastered on the front of it but proceeded anyway to get past her and get some well deserved food in his stomach.
He walked forward to get past Shion, get his food and go home where'd he probably go to sleep especially after the meal he was planning on getting.
Kenji kept his attention on the ground but accidentally bumped into Shion causing him to internally sigh, he took a step back and cleared his throat before speaking in a low voice.
"Excuse me Sh- uh miss, just a fellow student getting some food. Yep just doing stuff that's not important...yep..."
"Nailed it Kenji," he thought with a nod.
He calmly stepped around her and continued on his way really needing to get some kind of nourishment.
Breaker just kept walking if he ignored her maybe she'd go somewhere else, he knew there were plenty of Altar ego's she could speak with but he had no idea where any of them were. Normally he'd be more than happy about something like that but was he really doomed to listen to Sonata during his once peaceful walk, seeing her land on the ground near him he realized that just might be the case.
"Do what you want," Breaker said looking over at her before walking again. " Also I wasn't worried about you, if you summon those things I have to deal with them I just don't want the inconvenience,"
That wasn't completely the truth though part of it was, he didn't want to watch someone die in front of him that was one of many things that ruined a day, and aside from the creatures and Sonata his day was actually going pretty well.
"Keep some distance from me that dress makes you stand out here, not even sure why you're wearing such a thing in the forest but to each their own."
Breaker ran a hand through his hair looking around for any sign of life, he didn't seem to be having any luck and he was still lost.
"There's got to be someone else for you to bother Sonata," Breaker said looking around. "Don't you play music or something, why not go write a new song...over there far away from me and what peace still remains."
Kenji was pulled from his thoughts as Aiko spoke to him, he was still lost on a topic so he was relieved to see her create one. When she mentioned where he'd been he blinked and looked down as he technically was still wearing his uniform, he supposed her question made sense as he didn't really like walking around in it for the style. He rubbed the back of his head looking for the right words for the question, however he looked back at her when she asked about Kazuko. She was a hot topic on everyone's mind, he started to wonder if Aiko was a gossip, he kind of hoped not finding out sensitive information about others just complicated matters.
All of that aside he had to respond to her, he didn't think he'd be able to change her day but he believed he could hold some kind of conversation at the very least.

"Well I suppose I'll answer the first one first," Kenji said crossing his arms. "I took a nap near the end of the day, it was actually pretty nice there's all sorts of places around the school that are good for it. I mean on a day like this it's a shame not to sleep under a bit of shade, I'd recommended it if the opportunity presents itself Aiko-san."
Kenji brought a hand to his chin when it came to Kazuko, he wasn't close to her so he didn't have a sincere sensitive answer or anything, that and the way she said that was...strange.
"I'm afraid I haven't visited her, we aren't really close and I doubt she'd want to wake up to the face of a stranger much less a boy staring at her when she's sleeping," Kenji said before lowering his hand. "I believe she's in a coma right? I hear people who wake up from those feel well rested so that'll be a bonus. I'm afraid I'll be part of the generic crowd that just welcomes her when she comes back."
Kenji reached up and ruffled his hair at the thought for a moment before speaking again looking at the ground.
"Those close to her are probably feeling pretty bad though, were you close to her Aiko-san?"
Breaker started at Crisis Sonata in silence as she continued playing, he closed his eyes remembering why he wanted to just keep walking but he was already here so he may as well wait. He opened his eyes when she finished his eye lids narrowing slightly when she spoke to him, especially the 'hon' part which gave him another reason to walk away. When she spoke again mentioning her name he finally remembered what little he knew about her, of all the people to encounter why did it have to be Sonata? Well actually there was someone just as bad at least Sonata was easily definable physically, Scarlet was a whole other matter.
"Sorry I forgot your name Sonata," Breaker said looking up at her. "I find you a tad forgettable."
He crossed his arms and leaned against the tree letting out a small sigh, it seemed he was going to end up wandering around this forest for awhile.
"You should be careful playing your instrument in a place like this, those creatures aren't exactly shy about attacking anything that moves," Breaker said looking back at her. "Well except for that huge behemoth Ironclad, they tend to avoid him not that I can necessarily blame them."
Breaker leaned off the tree and glanced into the forest making sure he wasn't the only one that came here after hearing Sonata's music, his eyes narrowed for a moment before he turned and started looking around in different directions.
"Well in the end it doesn't matter, even if they come you can just kill them yourself," Breaker said glancing over at her. "I'm going to find a way out now, don't get yourself killed Sonata."
Breaker picked a direction and started walking away adjusting his gloves as he returned to his walk, he'd find the way out sooner or later.
Larel followed everyone running slightly behind Hotaru to bring up the rear, he mostly did so to make sure Alari didn't try to break the ten feet rule but since he couldn't see him in the shadows anyway he just trailed behind to watch their backs. Larel remained silent when Raina woke up but worry showed on his face as he noticed Hotaru get hit by the sunlight as they ran. He wondered if he'd be able to do something with his darkness but Zenmaru informed him that wasn't an option and he put the idea aside and focused on keeping up with everyone. Without any conversation going on his thoughts drifted back to his sister, he couldn't help but smile at the idea that he actually had family somewhere. He was still digging for any information in his own skull for her, but the scene was still the same whenever he replayed it, her face was still hidden and he couldn't hear her words.
If he could find out her name then at the very least he could ask about her while they were travelling, he could ask Mera if he could go see her should he find her. Larel knew Alari had her whereabouts, something in him said Alari had the information but he wouldn't share it with him, not when he wanted him to forget her. More than likely he knew Larel wasn't going to stop thinking about it but without any information on her he couldn't really do anything which just irritated him.
When everyone stopped Larel landed a few feet from Hotaru before letting out a small sigh, he wasn't too tired but he didn't pace himself as he followed his thoughts lingering back and forth between his sister and watching their back.
Larel looked over at Mera when she spoke about finding a place to sleep, he flinched a little when Mary's name was said. He closed his eyes at the idea but he couldn't say anything, partially because Mera asked but he'd feel bad singling her out for their walk though he wanted too.
When Mary spoke hearing her made him feel a little low, he averted his gaze and rubbed the back of his neck finding himself in a situation. He didn't want Mary anywhere near him but he couldn't just have her walk behind them at a distance like she had some sort of disease, he'd just feel guilty the entire way there.
"You...don't have to walk that far away," Larel said crossing his arms and closing his eyes. "You are my master's sister, your safety is also important so it'd be problematic if you were too far. Just stay at an arms length and I'll be fine. Oh and avoid looking directly at me for longer than ten seconds, it'd be good if I didn't hear you breathe either so avoid heavy breathing, also please avoid any sign of emotion akin to happiness in my direction as well."
"Just stay near Hotaru or Raina preferably Hotaru and her presence will mitigate the effect you have on Larel Mary," Alari said from within the shadows. "Asking all of that is a bit much don't you think Larel?"
"I almost forgot about you, come out here Alari I need to remind you of something," Larel said looking around.
He jumped as Alari walked out of the shadow directly next to him, he smiled at him his hands in his sleeve as he waited for him to continue.
Larel quickly drew his sword and brought it down towards Alari who quickly raised his hands and slammed them together catching the sword inches from his own face.
"9.5 feet Wisdom," Larel said narrowing his eyes at him before Alari lowered his hands.
Alari looked over at Mera measuring the distance before taking a half step away, once he did Larel sheath his sword before pointing at him.
"Ten feet Wisdom," Larel said lowering his hand. "I don't even want you a quarter of an inch in breaking that or you skull will be on a pike."
He turned towards the village mentally preparing himself for the situation and glanced back at Mera
"We're going ahead then Mera-sama Eryn-san," Larel said. "If Alari even looks in your direction just let me know Mera-sama."
Larel nodded to Hotaru before turning and walking towards the village, he glanced back at Alari who waved to him only to receive a glare in return as he turned his attention forward again.
"Well at least it's only ten feet," Alari said shrugging.
"I sort of envy your optimism Oji-san," Kaori said walking out of the shadows next to him. "At least he said I don't have to stay ten feet away."
"Let's not give Larel a reason to attack you, I'm sure he'll take the opportunity."
"Boo," Kaori said pouting.
Aria finished her sandwich and got up to leave when she noticed a man holding what seemed to be a countless supply of noodles, he seemed to be looking around so he assumed he was lost. She stared at him for a moment before shrugging her shoulders and getting up to leave, his affairs wasn't any of her business. She started to throw her bag away in the nearby garbage when a loud noise caught her attention. She looked up to see the large TV screen that overlooked the square, it was the commercial about some kind of restaurant on the new side of the city. Aria shook her head and turned to leave but the TV shut off for a moment stopping the commercial, a brief second later it clicked back on a red background showing on the screen with a dark silhouette of a person in the center of it.
"Hey look at that," a person said in the crowd. "There's someone on the screen."
Aria started walking but came to a stop seeing everyone in the crowd was pointing up at the screen, she turned towards the screen curious what had gathered everyone's attention to see the silhouette on the screen.
"Hello everyone!" the person on the screen said. "How are you doing today!"
The voice was distorted and the person waved to them before crossing their arms over their chest. she couldn't tell if the person was male or female but they seemed human, of course with technology the way it was it could be an AI or something. With that in mind she was starting to wonder what advertisement this was for.
"I suppose I should introduce myself. my name is.....uh....oh I forgot the evil alias I came up with. Hold on a second I think I wrote it down in case I forgot."
Aria watched as the person started rummaging through their things throwing objects to and fro before finally standing up, Aria looked around wondering if she was being filmed on some television show or something as the person mumbled to themselves.
"Ah I can't remember it so I have to come up with a new one now. I guess you call me Mr. Descent. Anyway I don't really care about your day so onto why I'm here, you'll have to excuse me for interrupting your game shows, horrible movies and all of that. If you were in the middle of watching a funny internet video excuse me as well as I have temporarily taken over the internet, yes I am that awesome. I'm sure if you check your new phone it's got my handsome mug on it too."
Aria looked next to her to see a woman staring at her phone and sure enough Mr. Descent was on it, looking around he was on any other TV or electronic device in the area.
"Anyway whether it's morning or night where your viewing this pay very close attention as my message is extremely important, I mean I just hijacked everything to speak with you and I know your government is hating me right now so let's move this along."
Mr. Descent cleared his throat before crossing his arms and looking straight into the screen before speaking.
"All of you are boring."
Aria stared at the screen and listened as people started murmuring to one another and pointing at the screen, she couldn't blame them as no one knew what was going on right now and whoever this was basically just insulted them; even looking at the police they were trying to contact others to figure out what was going on. Mr. Descent continued speaking intent on getting his message across.
"I've watched you all for a bit and it's just been so boring, doing the same thing day in out, and the sad thing is you show no sign of stopping. Aren't you all tired of the same mundane activities everyday. I mean people of the lower class aren't you tired of working for minimum wage and barely scraping by enough earnings while someone of the upper class is fine dining and relaxing in one of their eight Jacuzzis. Aren't you tired of barely providing for your kids while some rich kid throws away things daily you would literally kill for. What of the upper class aren't you tired of hearing the complaints of the lower class, pretending to care and giving away your hard earned money. I mean you keep them at the bottom for a reason right why can't they understand their role in this society. Ah and the middle class what of you the in between it has to be nice not to be poor but you can never truly reach the funds the upper has, your closer to being lower than upper that has to be stressful. Of course the world isn't so easily divided but you know who you are in social standing even if you won't accept it. Isn't it just a little tiresome to be repetitive all the time, well I suppose I can't expect an open answer for this at least."
Mr. Descent seem to laugh to himself as he spoke and Aria felt a chill run up her spine as she watched the screen, she could hear people talking in the crowd, some were confused but others didn't exactly disagree with him. They didn't speak about it openly and spoke mostly in whispers but they went quiet as Mr. Descent started to speak again.
"Let me ask you another question then. Have you ever wondered if your life was better than anyone else's? Perhaps you were deserving of something another person had. That your life had more value than another homo sapiens and you deserved to live better and longer than they did? Well I'm sure some if not most of you have asked this and even if you haven't you'll have the opportunity. Would you be so kind as to look at the sky."
Aria raised a brow but looked towards the sky, it was the same blue as always and the clouds seemed to drift by slowly, there wasn't anything different about it. However Mr. Descent raised his hand and snapped his fingers, there was a loud echo of the snap before the sky suddenly went dark. Aria's eyes widened as a large red pentagram formed in the sky overshadowing the entire city, the pentagram glowed a bright crimson and two star shaped symbols floated in the center of it, one circling clockwise the other rotating counter-clock wise. There was four red circles in the four corners one of the stars made, a bright glow filled the pentagram and though it couldn't see seen there were multiple little circles around the rim of the circles where the lines were.
"What the-" Aria's words were cut off as the pentagram's glow flared and a red light slammed into the entire city covering everyone in it, inside or out the red light hit every person in the city. Aria fell to her knees as a pain filled her, the screams of the people around her echoing in her eyes, people in the stores screamed and fell through their doors gripping their arms. She held her arm as a burning sensation filled it. She grit her teeth as it felt like someone was carving something into her arm with a hot knife slowly. A mark started to form on her wrist and slightly up her arm as the burning sensation of being cut continued to barrage her forcing her attention on it. The same thing was happening to everyone else, the same mark was being put on their rights arms in the same spot.
Finally the light subsided and the pentagram vanished completely, Aria fell to her knees as the pain subsided her breath heavy as she released her arm. For some reason it felt like something was moving in her body, like a stream was flowing through her, it kind of felt like the sun's warmth but inside.
She looked at her arm to see a mark running from her wrist to a little below her forearm. The mark was the crossing of two lines three times while moving downwards before pointing at the end like an arrow, near the top the lines were adjacent but there were lines curving off the top barely touching the lines, they looked kind of like wings, since their were four lines it looked like four wings two on each side. At the top of the marking was a symbol she didn't recognize, it looked like an eye but there was an oval going through it, she wasn't sure what exactly it was.
"Ah man those screams were fantastic! Hahahaha!" Aria's head shot up at the screen as Mr. Descent clapped his hands. "Ah sorry I was just enjoying how painful that had to be. Anyway what I just did was give you an opportunity not to be boring anymore, to put it bluntly I just gave everyone in the area magic. Go on and summon it, you should be able to bring it forth pretty naturally, be careful though just cause you can summon it doesn't mean you can control it. I'll wait why you do it just don't move you'll really want to hear this next part."
Aria stood fully back up and stared at the palm of her hand, she didn't want to believe Mr. Descent but whatever that was it wasn't normal. She flexed her hand and just as Mr. Descent said with barely any effort her hand was covered in a light purple glow. Her eyes widened and she shook her hand the glow vanishing.
"...I-impossible," she said holding up her other hand and doing the same thing, the magic coming forth easily enough.
Looking around others were doing the same, they could summon their magic with little effort but some had to quickly dismiss it as it wasn't easy to control.
Kenji lowered his arms as he found himself moving into a crowd, he remembered the other reason he didn't like walking. Once he got through much of the crowd with a bit of effort he looked around to try and see where he was. If he was near the store he could take a shortcut and get home a little faster, unfortunately he was nowhere near it which meant his walk was far from being over. A long sigh escaped from Kenji as he decided to take a break, he looked for a place to sit down when he noticed a figure that seemed familiar. It was a girl with black curly hair and she seemed to be sitting on a fence, Kenji ruffled his hair for a moment searching for a name, he was pretty sure he could think of it if he really searched for it. He was positive it started with an A....Aiko that was her name. Kiryuu Aiko she was in his 'note' book, he wasn't sure if she was one who said yes, no or ignored him though.
Kenji brought a hand to his chin not really sure where to go from here, he didn't feel like walking at the moment but just standing here wasn't much better, engaging in a conversation with his classmate was a normal thing to do right? They weren't in school right now so was he obligated to talk with her? Kenji was pretty sure he didn't have anything interesting to talk about, still pretending like he didn't see her was rude so at the very least he could initiate a casual conversation. Now that he thought about it she could be a good student, if that was the case not only would he be polite but there could be potential note sharing in the future.

"Well hello there Aika ah wait no it's Aiko isn't it," Kenji said walking over to her raising his hand as a greeting. "How's your day going? Well even if it's bad Kenji Yoshida is here to provide.....ah well actually I'm not sure what I'm providing."
Kenji crossed his arms as he remembered he didn't really think of anything to talk about as he was walking over, that put a damper on things but at least he gave a hearty greeting. He had to wait for a response so he couldn't walk away now, he had to think of a topic while she was answering the question. He considered asking what her favorite color was but realized that kind of question wouldn't assist with anything. He could ask her about a hobby but he might end up yawning if there was a story behind it which would ruin any possible friendliness in the future.
Breaker came to a stop in the middle of a forest taking a look around before glancing behind him only to see more forest. He crossed his arms as he tried to asses the current situation he was in. He had gone out for a walk, gotten attacked by negatives, and killed them before continuing on his way. Shortly after that his mind started to wander and when he came back to reality he was standing in a forest. Taking another look around he was able to confirm that he was lost, sad as it was to admit it normally ended up like this when he went for a walk. Breaker looked at the tree branches and wondered if he could climb up the tree's and get a birds eyes view, it'd be easier to find the edge of the forest from a different perspective.
Breaker started to jump onto a branch but stopped as the sound of music reached his ears, he closed his eyes for a moment as the source of that music was probably an altar ego and if he encountered them he'd have to deal with them at the same time. Well that was unless the negative had gained enough intelligence to play music but he seriously doubted that. The effort aside he could get directions from them which would keep him from wandering in the forest.
Breaker ruffled his hair seriously considering his options for a moment, he lowered his hand and jumped onto the branch before taking a look around the forest. He still didn't see the edge which meant he would have to climb higher, Breaker looked up at the tree's stretching above him and he grimaced at the idea of climbing up there just to find the way out.
Jumping off the tree branch he decided to suck it up and ask for directions from the source of that music, it was better than wandering aimlessly and climbing trees.
Breaker followed the music until he finally found the source coming to a stop as he noticed the figure in the trees. The moment his eyes landed on Crisis Sonata a sense of dread filled him, honestly he forgot her name but something in him said to just walk away.
"You," Breaker said looking up at Sonata deciding to go for it. "Do you know where the edge of the forest is?"
