Pirate Age

Luro took a sip from his drink his eyes focused on the tavern, his eyes scanning the room for the man from earlier, he eventually stopped as he felt he was slowly starting to forget the man's face or at least what he remembered of it. He tilted his head trying to think back to the crowd but he stopped as Danny mentioned something about punching the man, Luro rubbed the back of his head not entirely sure what she was getting at, he looked down at the man who was currently asleep on the floor looking back at Danny as she lectured him, he chuckled a little glad the captain said something. He figured he was being polite and following the custom, he'd teach Danny it another time.
He watched as Nolan brought drinks which Risa took, Luro gave a small shrug glad she got something, it was a shame to enter a tavern and not drink something. He looked back at the captain seeing her mention the customs which he gave a firm nod in full agreement with.
"It's out of respect the captain should drink as much as she wants then get into a fistfight with a random stranger, it's another way of saying hello...well with violence anyway."

Luro wasn't sure where Alicia ran off too and he didn't have a chance to look as the captain answered his question about the man, so he was a judge then. Luro closed his eyes taking his information in, he wasn't sure what to think about that, most of his experiences with judges were bad ones so he didn't really want to meet any more. Though this guy had murdered someone so did that make him a different type of judge?
Luro brought a hand to his chin not sure what he should do, his confusion almost matched with Risa's for a moment but he decided it didn't really matter, if the captain wanted to meet him then Luro was fine with whoever he was, thankfully the captain found the judge though Luro just looked in the same direction Runali did making sure to get a good look at his face.
He tilted his head a little seeing he was drinking with everyone else, he smiled a little seeing it actually. It was a shame most judges didn't share this guy's attitude.
At the idea of starting a fight to get his attention Luro grinned and slammed a fist into the palm of his hand all for the idea but when Risa and Nolan showed their dislike of the idea his shoulders drooped and he lowered his arms to his sides.
When the captain walked towards the judge and Risa commented on the danger Luro gave a shake of his head though he did watched Nolan go in her direction.
"The captain will be fine because the captain is the captain....at least that's how I see it. Besides if anything happens we'll all defend her, just trust in the captain. Also rushing in is the best thing to do Risa, if anything goes wrong just wing it so no problem."
Luro offered a firm nod before kneeling down next to Risa bringing his hand to the side of his mouth while Nolan and Danny were gone.
"By the way don't let their appearances fool you. Nolan is actually referred to as the Crimson Monarch, he's one of the most feared men on land. They also call him the puppy killing maniac because of his evil nature so don't let his endless blue gaze draw you in too much. Danny's no different either, I've heard she's called Dream Breaker. I've heard the sea itself turns dark when she's near and she shatters the very essence of hope in all being she encounters. All the tattoo's you see on her were apparently made from the 'Ink' of her victims. She really loves color ink especially which she takes from living people, ask her about her love of it later, I'll tell you how she gained her name later."

Luro stood up when he noticed Nolan walk back over and tilted his head a little when he spoke to him and Ray though he did smile glad he was at least talking to him again. When he mentioned drinking Luro grinned and placed both his hand on his hips puffing his chest out a little.
"There's no loser in a drinking game, I'm more than willing to do one with him," Luro said before he caught what Nolan said about being brash.
Luro waved his hand in front of his face at the mere thought of it before he reached over and gave Nolan a small pat on his chest before pointing at himself with his thumb.
"I'm as gentle as they come Nolan you can depend on me."
The man Luro punched groaned and held his face as he slowly started to regain consciousness, his eyebrows were drawn down and he was in the fetal position at the moment.
"I'm as soft as a blanket on a warm starry night."
"Ah who punched me...I think my nose is broken. It hurts so much."
"You have nothing to worry about."
"Ah there's money in my pocket but why am I in pain? Who would do this?"
Luro pat Nolan on the shoulder before turning and reaching forward grabbed Risa's hand before pointing at the Judge.
"I don't want to leave your side so you have to come with me so I can watch over you properly," Luro said. "Come on we have to meet the judge."

Enjoy cake and general merrymaking then go back to tests then celebrate again with more cake when they're over.

I was going to have Luro approach but his attention is focused on his charge, also yes Banba it's a different weekend doesn't lessen the impact though so belated thanksgiving wishes too you.

I've been listening to some Shoji Meguro mostly with a bit of DJ max mixed in there, helps with long evenings.

Luro rubbed the side of his head as something was posed upon him that pulled him in two different directions, oddly enough he was alright with the soon to be death of the man, though he admitted the method was certainty different but there was something more important to focus on right now.
There was an opportunity for the consumption of ale, Ray had made that very clear also the man who had just walked off as well by mention the tavern. However if he went to get the rum he'd have to leave Risa's side, he didn't really like that, but he wanted rum...but there was Risa.
Luro closed his eyes trying to figure out what he wanted to do, Risa knew the wonders of this new world and with her help he could further his knowledge, but if he got rum...he'd have rum it was a dilemma.
Thankfully Luro didn't have to choose as it seemed everyone was going to follow the man that had just left, which meant he could have both which made him smile as he followed Risa who seemed to know the way there.
While they climbed on the vehicle Luro marveled at how many interesting things were in this town, he chuckled a little finding himself surprised at each new thing, there was so much to learn here it brought him an almost endless amount of joy, and Risa lived in a place like this, she was lucky to be surrounded by this all the time.

Luro zoned out through most of the conversation about why the inventions weren't in other places, he did catch it had something to do with the government and teaching but for the most part he was too busy looking around at the sights, though his attention returned to Risa in-between only to move back out to the city.
Once everyone reached the tavern Luro stepped off and stared at the building for a moment, he only pulled his attention away when the captain mentioned something about being Risa's bodyguard.
"That works for me captain, means I don't have to leave her side. If anything happens just stay behind me," Luro said smiling at Risa.
At the mention of a bar fight breaking out in the past and the possibility of it happening again Luro gave a small nod bringing a hand to his chin.
"A tavern without fighting isn't really a tavern, it's a collected gathering of like minded individuals seeking the comfort of drink at least that's what a sailor told me once. If you think they're riled up now little bird, just wait until they see a lass. Oh if a fight does break out don't forget to rob anyone you knock out, it's considered common courtesy...I think..."

Once inside Luro took in a deep breath taking in the rowdy but surprisingly comforting atmosphere at least to him, his entire being seemed to relax once he was fully inside, a wide grin finding its way onto his face as a sense of calm filled him, it seemed like he had returned home after a long leave and it was a feeling he never tired of.
"Ah it's been too long since I've been in a tavern," Luro said. "You smell that wondrous scent, that's the smell of dri- actually I'm not sure what that is....or that...I know what that is...what was I saying again. Oh yeah the smell of drink and hushed memories...I think, that or rotten fish one of the two."
Luro looked over at a man stumbling a little carrying a bottle of rum and smiled at him, he reached over and put a hand on the man's shoulder to draw his attention.
"You seem like you've drank enough, did you pay for that?" Luro asked pointing at the bottle.
The man offered a small nod and Luro then questioned how much, once he received an answer Luro gave a nod and calmly gripped the bottom of the bottle causing the man to arch a brow at him before he slammed his fist into the man's face sending him falling to the ground leaving Luro holding the bottle.
Digging in his pocket Luro took out two pieces of silver and kneeling down put it in the man's shirt pocket before offering a kind smile.
"Have a few on me for the trouble mate," Luro said with a small nod before taking a small drink from the bottle. "Sorry to get rough, hope you don't take offense to it. It was violence out of potential comradeship, when you wake up if I'm still here we'll share a drink."
Luro looked back over at Risa before pointing to his bottle. "Did you want anything? Might want to drink know before we talk to that guy, might not get the opportunity while we're talking to him. Actually where is he in here? Anyone remember what he looked like?"
Luro looked back at anyone who was still nearby as he hadn't been paying that much attention to the guy's appearance, which he realized would have been a good idea since they were trying to find him.
"He said something before he left...I can't remember what exactly it was though. I think it was a name, maybe if we call it out or something."
He was positive the guy came here, he even left before them so he had to be in here somewhere, Luro squinted his eyes trying to find his location but he only got a glimpse of the guy he wondered if he could pick him out in this crowd.

I've returned, not sure for how long since I got assignments and all that due but I'm here. I figured I'd get a break during fall break but I was quite wrong about that.
Anyway I just wanted to pop in and say yo, I'll have a post up tomorrow.

Larel eyes narrowed seeing the look on the man's face, it seemed he wasn't happy about his recent actions. When he noticed his gaze move to Hotaru and pull out a glove his eyes narrowed a little as he drew his sword, Zenmaru however interrupted his intention to move towards him and attack. She reminded him that Alari said not to engage the man and told him that the glove gave him a bit of an advantage, Larel wasn't sure what she meant by that until he noticed the fire, his eyes widened a little as he threw it at Hotaru, though she dodged it easily enough.
When she mentioned it time to go Larel nodded in agreement and followed behind her making sure not to get close to the fire he had just thrown, when Hotaru mentioned having to deal with earth too Larel was starting to realize why engaging him was a bad idea, he was large and could use magic for some reason.
"How many elements does he have," Larel mumbled running along side Hotaru.
When he noticed Hotaru look back he did the same only to see Ovorion following after them, he grit his teeth and turned his attention forward again.
"He can chase after us too," Larel said sighing a little. "Zenmaru help me out a little."
He glanced to his right before his eyes narrowed, it was clear she wasn't about to provide it more than likely out of laziness, after a brief conversation between them darkness surrounded Larel, he held up two fingers before three shadows came out of his own taking his form.
Two of the shadows rushed in the direction of Ovorion holding swords of their own before bringing both their swords back and slashing at his neck simultaneously, Larel turned and threw something at the third clone who reached back and caught it revealing it was a kunai with a paper attached to it.
The clone immediately hurled it at the roof Ovorion was heading towards before dissipating, the moment he did the paper lit up before a small explosion followed blowing off the section of the roof, Larel hoped that small distraction would cause him to misstep and fall.
"He seems pretty intent on catching you Hotaru, let's not let that happen," Larel said looking over at her.

Aki I'll go ahead and say so now. I work tomorrow so I won't be able to post until the evening at the latest. Feel free to move Luro if you post then and all that.

By the way you'd have him at Tavern, pulling him away from Risa will be a challenge though.
