Takeshi sure was acting all funny around Viral, at least ever since they got out of the ship Takeshi had been acting all silly around him. Looking between the pair, he did wonder if Takeshi was really trying to get Viral’s approval. It was a little funny and pretty curious, but Viral was having none of it and was just getting on at it while giving Takeshi his disapproval along the way. It wasn’t so bad, especially when they were willing to work together anyway. Seeing as how Takeshi’s slide down looked quite fun, Shu instead decided to get down on his backside and slide down the stairs, finding it pretty fun if a little cold for his tail. This was pretty fun, it was even more fun than flying down when he knew he couldn’t really land all that well. Bumping his way down the stairs beside Takeshi and Viral before finally reaching the bottom, pushing himself up onto his feet and giving his backside a quick dusting down before he looked to Takeshi, “That was fun! But this place is scary…”

Viral didn’t think much of Shu acting all weird when it came to the long run, considering where he came from. He was a cub essentially and acting his age wasn’t an option when he had never experienced it. Takeshi was too easy on him and didn’t really let his mentality grow, but then again this kid didn’t look like he had grown any since he was twelve considering how short he was. Saiyans were typically short, but he was very small. Sighing a little, he looked around the place to see if there was anyone around. This whole place stank of ambush, but of course Takeshi was distracted and too busy to take any mind of this place. If they were going to convince these guys there was going to have to be some form of intimidation, showing they were strong and their people could get stronger if they joined them in this war. He still hated this ‘mission’ they were on, especially when they had better things to do.

With Takeshi watching his feet rather than watching where he was going, Viral decided to look around instead. There was definitely someone around, but soon enough there was no need to search anymore as the air quickly changed and their position felt compromised. Moving closer to Shu, he quickly looked around before the Narbu suddenly let themselves be known as they soon dropped in. Takeshi couldn’t have been more ill-prepared as they landed right in front of him, a mass of snow suddenly covered him and only made Takeshi look like a fool. So much for having him as the Saiyan representative; recovering quick enough but yet again looking like an idiot. Groaning in annoyance, he rubbed his head, “Takeshi…just…would you get a grip and talk to them??” He was trying not to swear at Takeshi for being such an idiot, especially when they were supposed to be friendly with these people and ask them for help while looking proud and appearing strong. These people were obviously waiting to ambush them and yet Takeshi was acting like a moron.
Shu didn’t know what they were supposed to do about the slidy stairs, looking confused over whether he was supposed to slide down or shuffle along. Smiling a little as Takeshi made an attempt to get down, his eyes went over to Viral who was quick to tell Takeshi to fly instead. Shu figured he should fly if that was the case, giggling as he slowly floated up, his feet initially going into the air first before he managed to find some sort of balance. He still wasn’t very good at it, but if he didn’t want to fall down the stairs then he should do as Viral said. Slowly spinning around in the air, he watched Takeshi as he instead refused Viral’s suggestion and continued downward; however, one wrong step and Takeshi was suddenly all flying down the stairs. Watching him as he continued downwards, his eyes followed his bumping before ending with a thud. Hurrying on down, Shu too slammed into the ground, landing on his hands.

Viral gave Takeshi the offer to fly and yet it was so easy to find the desire to smack him one for being a moron. Instead of going with the offer the idiot instead decided to walk on down and inevitably slip. Watching him with each thump down all those stairs before he finally landed with a stupid sounding smack, he decided to jump on down himself with Shu floating along. He was able to find some balance because he was used to it, his reflexes and balance was definitely on cat-like levels, given his genes and all, making it pretty damn easy to make Takeshi look like an idiot. Halting just before him, his eyes went to Shu quickly before back to Takeshi, smirking, “No of course not; I won’t say anything”, he spoke, having a brief look at his claws, “Good thing your brother witnessed that and would probably tell everyone even if you told him not to. Now hurry up before I give you a push…”
Shu was having fun, that’s all that mattered just now. He didn’t have much of a care when it came to whether or not he was able to figure out what certain words meant and what things that were new to him were. If Takeshi could tell him what they were or if he found out for himself, he was still told he was still smart by Yumi and that was all that mattered. Giggling as he bounced along, he moved closer to Takeshi and smiled up at him, “Well you did tell me a very long time ago! It’s a very big word!” he spoke quickly, trying to get ahead of Takeshi, “Would you say when I was rescued, I was in school? When I learned how to speak and wear clothes!” As Viral came to a halt up ahead Shu did too, coming to a bit of a skid before getting to the edge of the strangely big hole. Slowly moving closer to the edge, Shu tilted his head as he stared down into the settlement below. It looked fairly scary to him, nothing like the big rocky place they were at before, “Oooohhhh…it looks like a scary place…is it safe?”

Viral didn’t have much of a care for the look of this place, but judging by the look of it this place was a warrior’s city. The buildings were not made from stone, but from the hides and bones of their prey. These guys were going to be strong and he could see why it was a chosen location, but he still felt like there would be a struggle to reason with these people. Looking to Takeshi as he could only sound surprised by his decision, he gave him a nod and pointed down, “You’re the one who ‘defeated’ the Elite, after all…” Watching Takeshi get all confident, his eyes went to his feet as he watched him try to manage with the path down, the ice oddly causing him to think cautiously about heading down. Letting out a sigh, Viral shook his head, “You act as if you can’t fly!” he sighed in annoyance, looking back at him, “It doesn’t matter if I can’t fly! If you’re scared of falling on your ass then just go!”
Shu found it pretty funny that Takeshi was completely oblivious to the fact that he was annoying Viral, especially when Viral made it clear that he didn’t want to be played with that much. Takeshi should probably try and catch Viral in a better mood and not when they were heading off into possible danger territory. If he wasn’t able to figure out Viral was not in a good mood at that particular time then he really needed to try and think for a second before acting. With it all being pretty amusing, Takeshi calling him not as smart as him just didn’t add up to what Yumi told him, “I am too! I am smarter because I was told!” he squeaked, bouncing along happily. Shu had never heard of a snowball fight himself, but if Takeshi said other people played it then it must had been an actual thing, “Ooh? School? What’s a school again…? We should! It sounds like fun! Does it hurt much? Mister Viral didn’t seem to like it…”

Viral couldn’t be bothered with Takeshi’s screwing around when he should be able to see some seriousness in what they were doing, but of course he’d screw around and try to impress his brother. Shu was a simple creature, but that didn’t mean Takeshi had to act like a simpleton. Finding it hard to put a little distance between himself and the other two as they continued with their annoying banter, he tried to think on possible strategies just incase things went sour. He’d maybe try to get Takeshi to speak first to them, hope he could be friendly with them and not show off and make them mad. If he could behave himself just this once then he shouldn’t need to step in and try to calm things down, especially when these aliens always being willing to fight stronger creatures. Continuing to run across the wasteland, eventually he soon came to a halt. Looking back at Takeshi, he huffed before looking back down a large basin with walls of ice, a rough path leading down and lots of buildings made from bone and large animal skins. This was most likely a place to find warriors, not unlike that harsh stone building the Saiyans constructed, “You should be the first to go...”
Viral did not have a good time with that, especially when he thought it could be a weapon of some kind. Getting attacked from behind would be the worst outcome and he was ready to combat it, but all he managed to do was make Takeshi look like an idiot. Growling lowly he sheathed his cleaver away, giving his head a shake, “Don’t you know to never attack anyone from behind? Especially when we might be heading into a possible battle here…” he spoke with a sigh, feeling both annoyed and embarrassed, “Don’t think just because their planet was freed doesn’t mean they’ll not want to fight! You realise they would love to pick a fight with someone like you just to test their strength? Think of a Saiyan but just pure strength and muscle…” While he was a little annoyed, his nerves were certainly keeping themselves contained. He was worried over a number of things like the possible cleaving in half of Takeshi if he annoyed him too much. He was still bugged over that little incident and was beginning to wonder if that’s what was wrong with his control before, especially when he never had control problems before the Saiyans to the point where he became downright evil and violent. He was probably thinking about it too much; it was nothing, really. Grumbling a little he immediately set off once more, figuring they didn’t have much longer to go before they arrived.

Shu found it a little funny that Takeshi got all covered like that, smiling at him when he got annoyed at Viral and vice versa. They were both acting a little silly, but Viral had a point. He didn’t get him much of a warning other than to catch and the end result was amusing, bouncing on over to Takeshi to throw away some of the snow, “Ooh! Now you’re all fluffy!” he squeaked, bouncing away when Takeshi decided to shake away the snow instead. Smiling at him, he tilted his head a little as he looked between Takeshi and Viral, eventually looking to Takeshi, “Looks like I’m smarter! I would never do that”. Giggling, Shu bounced on after Viral, hoping to catch up before they lost him in the great white.
Shu could only stare at Takeshi with confusion, wondering what he meant by that and whether he was blaming him for the distraction. They were playing earlier and he was still hyped up, but Takeshi didn’t need to play with him if he didn’t want to. Listening to Takeshi pleading with him to try and reconsider his words, he sighed and bounced off towards Takeshi a little more, “I listened while I played! I am good at it”, he spoke quickly, giving a nod with each bounce, “I am very smart because Miss Yumi said so!” He didn’t need to be blamed for that one, even if Takeshi tried to recover from that. Bouncing around in the snow as he followed on after Viral, he watched him curiously as he argued with Takeshi before having a watch at what Takeshi was doing, feeling confused over it before letting out a gasp as he threw it at Viral. That was not a good idea from Takeshi, especially when Viral was not the most playful person out there.

Viral was certainly annoyed at Takeshi for his laziness, especially when he was supposed to be the King’s son. He didn’t need to be the leader all the time even if he had all that experience with him, just hoping maybe Takeshi would act responsible for once, “Then next time, learn to pay attention! If it turned out I couldn’t go then what would you do?” he questioned him, having about enough of his nonsense. If Takeshi expected everyone to do everything for him then he had another thing coming, but despite that Viral didn’t trust Takeshi with handling the Narbu. He was just there to act as a representative as far as he was concerned. Continuing on with his run, the moment something slammed into his back he turned around, unsheathing his blade as he swiped it through the snow with great force, sending a wave of snow at Takeshi. He was startled pretty badly by that, but he was not without anger over it, “Stupid ape! What was that for??”
Shu found it twice as hard to walk in this snow, especially when he had shoes on. He really needed the shoes on for this one considering it was very cold outside, but he could do without the strange fluffiness that came along with it. He wanted to play in the fluffiness so desperately, but of course Takeshi wouldn’t allow it and nor would Viral when they had a job to do. Maybe another time he’ll be allowed to play in the fluffiness when they had free time or on some other planet if this one was too cold for Takeshi. While it was cold, he definitely didn’t feel as cold as he could probably have been without being pretty hairy. Seeing Viral run off, Shu looked to Takeshi before bouncing off after him, using his hands to bounce through the snow. It was pretty exciting, but also a little scary since he remembered the Elite they had to fight was very hard and had to be fought with Takeshi, but if that was going to be the case again then maybe they were stronger than they once were to fend off any possible attackers.

Viral wasn’t worried too much about the Narbu, but they were large and strong so if they decided to use their numbers against them then they were going to be in some moderate trouble. He really didn’t feel like fighting anyway, despite the beliefs of Takeshi that he was always looking for a fight. Takeshi was certainly showing off his short attention span as well, as if only trying to further the annoyance he might be feeling right now, “You were too busy playing around with your brother to remember…which is typical of you”, he spoke harshly, just annoyed at his antics at this point. If they could concentrate for just this once then they would be alright by themselves, “Yeah, it took two of you to get him to submit…” Continuing on with his run, he couldn’t help but get annoyed at Takeshi’s constant moaning, his eyes looking back at him as he continued, “Maybe I wouldn’t be if you learned to pay attention more…”
Shu was a little nervous about going out there, feeling the cold and wondering if it was safe. He didn’t know anything about this planet other than they had been there before but in a big building instead. There was no building in sight and he wondered if Viral knew where these people might be, his first thought being if they lived underground like the Kaesstrians. Watching Viral jump on out, Shu quickly looked to Takeshi pretty confused before watching him jump out too, moving on over to the side before he jumped out as well. He was pretty nervous about this planet, especially when it was so cold and dangerous looking like before, but with Viral and Takeshi there he hoped he didn’t have much to worry about and would be able to go on without too much of a problem. Letting Takeshi check over his clothes, he squeaked when his hat was tugged before he shook his head, looking to Viral all confused, “Why are we not going in the ship either…? Is it dangerous?”

Viral was pretty set to go on his own in need be, Takeshi and Shu only really being there to act as either back-up or incentive to get the Narbu to join them; however, he didn’t need their moaning about directions or the ship. Looking back at them, he soon let out a groan and turned around to face them, “The ship’s nose is purposely pointing north so we can see what way to go and if you paid attention to Vegeta, you’d know that”, he spoke before looking to Shu, “If anything goes wrong, the others will need the ship to get to us fast enough. These Narbu are strong and a lot bigger than us; you saw an Elite Narbu, remember? Besides…the snow is a pain and it’s a lot milder than it could have been outside so be happy that we’re not out when it’s clear skies…” The fastest way to get there was to run, at least for him considering the pair could just fly around like idiots. Looking to Takeshi, he let out a grumble before turning away again, springing off from his spot and going for a run through the snow, “Just follow! How I do is none of your concern! Worry about your own path!”
Shu didn’t really get it, seeing as how he had to be thrown so he could attack from where he was so he couldn’t have done it on his own. He wouldn’t give Yumi the benefit of the doubt, though, and would still believe her to an extent. He didn’t want to be thought of as completely useless, and so long as he was able to actually do something without failing then he could be seen as useful in some way. He needed to be helped a lot during his time fighting, even in the last battle he had he needed assistance, but that didn’t make him feel depressed; he just wished he was more capable, is all. His way of fighting was way too ‘uncivilised’, making him vulnerable when he should be defensive, “I guess it’s okay to ask for help…but I need to ask a lot! Lots of times! Maybe it’s because I’m short”, he spoke, looking down at himself, “I am a little Saiyan…”

Shu was certain he was able to find some way around it, but he needed to find confidence in his ability and that was not going about it correctly if he constantly needed help with fighting. He just didn’t match up to other fighters with his style, not to mention people often underestimated him but that was their problem. Giggling when Yumi ruffled his hair, he smiled back at her as he nodded, “I’ll believe! Yeah, I will! You can count on Shu, really!” he told Yumi, feeling pretty confident before hearing Takeshi enter the room. Turning around on his chair with a bounce, Shu waved at Takeshi before looking to Yumi, letting out a sigh. Hardly anything was accomplished, but Shu was willing to keep trying when the time came. It was no secret that he was a little slow with things that required thought, but he’d still try to listen and learn how to control himself. Looking between the pair, Shu slowly slid off his chair and moved over to Takeshi, staring up at him before having to lower his head again when he ruffled his hair, “Ooooh! Train and dinner! Exciting happy times!”
Even with all the training, Shu was not prepared for having to wear shoes again even if it was definitely needed at this time. This planet was freezing and being all covered up definitely helped tons. Despite all of this covering up, their friend Viral didn’t look too much like he had been concerned with how cold it was and dressed very general if not in his own clothes for once. He did have thicker clothes on, but other than that he was without fear of the cold. Shu stuck close to Takeshi, watching Viral curiously to see if he knew what they were doing just yet.

Viral didn’t much care for the cold, even if he did feel it. His body didn’t seize up or get frostbite if he got too cold because his shark genes produced anti-freeze in his blood in the extreme, making it pretty poisonous too as a side effect. It would certainly stop something from trying to eat him, but it wasn’t as if he planned on being chomped on and neither would the people here think of doing that if they were civilised enough. Staring out into the blanket of cold, he only wondered why he was allowed to go out even if he was still continuing his training; then again, Vegeta had been pretty busy lately and probably wanted something for him to do in the meantime. Looking to Takeshi momentarily, he grumbled and looked away again, “To the south there is a colony of natives, people who used to be recruits for the King. They should be willing to help us…” Jumping out of the hanger, Viral turned to see if they were following before continuing on, not going fast considering the pair would probably slip around like idiots if he did.
Shu felt embarrassed everytime they talked about him in any way, especially when trying to make him more than what he thought he was. He thought he was fairly average, not to mention he rarely got to see how strong he was compared to the others if only by his ability to jump into battle and help when things were looking grim. He was certain he could be better in battle by himself if he could control his transformation, but he really didn’t know how when a variety of things happened. He imagined it was like the full moon making him really big, only he didn’t get really big and tended to remember some things when he was a little angry monkey. Staring at Yumi with a smile, he scratched his cheek and shook his head a little, “I didn’t do much…Takeshi threw me up into the air! He did a lot of things too”, he spoke confidently, “I couldn’t do that by myself. You don’t need to thank me; I’m okay!”

Shu didn’t know how his energy spiking was the same as Viral’s energy, especially when his energy couldn’t be detected. It made him wonder if Viral would ever be able to get lost even in his animal-like form simply because his energy couldn’t be detected. Getting a little distracted by that thought Shu eventually sighed, scratching his head as he tried to quiz himself on how he was supposed to find control if he didn’t even know how to stop feeling angry when bad things happened, “Mister Viral can’t stop his either…at least when you put it that way”, he spoke, feeling a little confused as to how he might be able to help, “I haven’t seen Mister Viral in battle for a long time, so I don’t know if he can. Everybody’s able to get angry but me…” He did feel a little left out, wondering if anything could frustrate him enough without him transforming. Letting out a sigh, he squeaked a little when Yumi ruffled his hair, his eyes quickly going back to her as she spoke. Tilting his head, he shifted on his chair and nodded, “Okay…I believe it can get better…somehow. I really hope it can! I get really mean when I’m angry…”
