Shu didn’t think he’d ever be able to find his strength when he was unable to become strong in the first place. He knew he couldn’t measure up to the others unless he let himself go wild, but even then that wasn’t true strength. That was all pretend, just some affliction he didn’t know how to control. If he went into battle against either his father or Krom he knew he would he completely destroyed. Looking up to Yumi he lowered his gaze after she spoke to him, scratching his head. “Yeah…I just…know it will hurt a lot too…” He did wonder what he was supposed to be in this group and where his place was because he certainly didn’t find it yet. He wanted to find his place and if he did manage to do good in this battle, maybe he would find the respect he so desired.

Following after Yumi he frowned at the others as they only seemed to get wound up through their frustrations and worries as well. Yumi only seemed to try and support Choi at this point, but Takeshi didn’t sound all that happy to plan out their attack. Shu would rather they did that, he didn’t like the thought of hanging around waiting for something to happen either but he also didn’t want to end up getting blasted because they were arguing over nothing. Shu did like plans, but he didn’t like being in one place like this. Shu knew this was a bad idea from the very start and with the building anxiety it really made Shu not feel terribly great. He didn’t know what to feel and having the others go around in silence like this only made him worried that bad things were going to happen.

The moment Takeshi kicked a brick through the silence Shu let out a sudden cry, his heart leaping in his chest as he immediately made a dash back, his hands going to his head. That scared him quite a bit, but what was worse was Takeshi was the one who did it and the one who got all aggressive over nothing. Maybe it was because he didn’t want to find his father, but he really couldn’t understand why Takeshi went ahead and did that. Staring at him as Yumi tried to talk some sense into him he frowned, staring at the pair before looking to Yumi when Takeshi decided to stomp on ahead. He didn’t want to be the one to talk to him just because he was his brother when he was acting like this. Sighing lightly, Shu gave a quick nod and headed on after Takeshi, opening his mouth briefly before letting out a sigh. He didn’t know what to say to him, he just knew he wouldn’t be taken seriously.

He was just going to feel awful if he tried talking to him about a matter he didn’t completely understand. He didn’t know why it was such a big deal to find the King, but he had a feeling all this stomping around was just going to have him find them sooner. Walking along with him calmly he tried to keep up with Takeshi, tripping up on debris sometimes in his haste to keep up with Takeshi he got a fright when Takeshi was very quick to move again, running on after him. Struggling to keep up he immediately came to a stop when he realised where he was heading, seeing his father and Krom being assaulted by the others. Very quickly he hid away, feeling little desire to be seen.

Krom had only been accompanying Yamate as he did all the work, watching as he threw the alien around with little regard to the fact he was another living being. It was all just business to them, but the moment there was a slight power surge he was immediately on guard; however, the attacks weren’t aimed for him. Yamate was being attacked in a rather undignified fashion in an attempted ambush. Sighing in annoyance to see who it was he was surprised it was the girl they took along with a rebel Saiyan. He didn’t need to help Yamate, he knew he already had it under control. Turning to face them he noticed Takeshi make a lame attempt at his own surprise attack, watching as he only made a pause. That was rather amusing, especially when he was the one who didn’t expect such an attack. So they were interested in the King? Fair enough. “What’s this? I was kind of expecting Korian, myself…” he spoke, seeing more arriving. The Saiyan twins that had disappeared dropped in not too soon after he spoke, he had been wondering where they went, but also another alien he wasn’t familiar with. Chuckling, he turned to them. “Been out recruiting? Only missing the kid and Beastman at this point.”
Dangit woman I told you to take it easier when you hurt yourself last year D: Hope you feel better soon!
All of his senses were completely thrown off, his sense of balance compromised as he was thrown to the floor by gravity through the influence of an exterior force. What a complete problem this was now and what was worse was he landed against someone and on something too. Slowly pushing himself up he gasped as some squeaky girl thumping against his frame, confusing him briefly before he was instead pushed onto his side. Everyone here certainly was rude around here, even if in his haste wasn’t really looking where his feet were going. Not quite understanding what she was trying to say before, he looked down at himself at the strange pressure against his chest, seeing a fish quite clearly stuck to him. “Oh, uhh! I-I’m sorry…” he stuttered, peeling off the fish and giving it back to the girl, smiling for only a second before his attention went to a much more important matter to attend to.

Those men were already there, staring down at him with such authority and hatred. This was awful, he didn’t mean to do anything wrong. Raising his hand in front of him he stared at the end of the weapon, his eyes slowly going to the man in full knowledge of what his threat meant. He had come so far, he couldn’t go back to that place. There was nothing for him back there and he had learned so much about the outside world, to be taken back and given a full restore would be even worse than death.

“N-No…please, I didn’t mean-…” Before he could even begin to explain himself the boy he had accidentally collided with was speaking for him, but the boy just sounded confused. Slowly looking to the boy, the sound of steel smacking stone caused him to flinch pretty badly, his attention going straight back to the man who was full of anger and determination to carry out his duty. This wasn’t good; if he so much as tried to move he was going to be shot. This boy was going to get in trouble all because of him. He didn’t deserve this, not for his own mistake of bumping into him.

Looking to the boy with a hopeful expression he could only hope that he wasn’t like these other people, that he wouldn’t end up treating him like he was just a pile of illegal parts. There had to be some way to convince these men that they had the wrong idea about him, but from what he experienced once they knew what he was there wasn’t much hope in that; if only he could just grab that firearm the man had, maybe even the sword, then he could make a difference and finally find a way out of this mess.

The boy being threatened didn’t really turn out very well, it almost seemed as if he was going to give in to the threat. Getting frightened for only a brief second, the moment the sound of a man slamming into stone he jumped before immediately being yanked up and thrown forward by the boy. Stumbling on his feet he made a sudden terrible error he really should regret, but it was probably his only way out: he started to run. This was definitely a terrible idea; they had ranged weapons, he didn’t. Looking back briefly to the boy he saw he was taking the girl with him, immediately thinking it was a bad idea to get her involved too. This was bad and all because of him, but what was worse was he didn’t know if they were going to get out of this alive all because of him.

“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to-! Ah! What are you doing??” Skidding to a halt as well he turned to Ethan, almost frightened by what he was doing. He didn’t understand what was happening now and could only be worried that the boy was surrendering; however, according to his readings an energy level was rising and it was coming from this guy. Staring at him in an attempted analysis he gasped when it was shot out, watching it before he noticeably started feeling anxious. Opening his mouth to speak, he could only move back in fright as it caused the men to suddenly bounce away with great force into various directions.

Now that was something he hadn’t seen before but all he could feel was confusion, trying to get data on what that was. It was certainly different to what he experienced before, but right now that would have to wait until later when he was still supposed to be escaping right now. Just about to turn around again he looked back when he realised the boy wasn’t doing too well, barely managing to walk by the looks of it. He could run off immediately and not think about it, but he couldn’t leave these two behind. Frowning, he soon went around to his side, looking over him before to the girl. “Hold on tight, okay? I’m just going to…”

Only seeming to contemplate it for a moment he moved around once they were moving, moving his large hands underneath the pair he lifted them over his head before immediately breaking into a sprint. Anybody with a sharp eye could see where he was heading with them through the crowd, but he didn’t want to risk being caught by the men while they were out. He just knew where he had to go and that was out of the settlement. While the Machina was in a hurry, he realised he completely forgot one simple custom. Coming to a brief halt he placed both the girl and boy down, panicking slightly. “I-I didn’t mean to treat you like that! I should ask first! It’s your custom, right?”
Shu didn’t like being afraid all the time when all it managed to do was hold him back greatly. He wanted to be able to fight without running away or finding trouble because he couldn’t fight back. It was upsetting that he was such a coward, only giving him the feeling of reliance on everyone else. His clan would already be out there by themselves and confidently fighting, but he was stuck being a little kid. Letting out a groan at his doubt he looked to Yumi, sighing lightly before nodding, giving a little smile at Yumi. “I’ll try. I don’t want to make people upset! I want to beat him…” Even when he tried to find confidence in himself he struggled to believe his own words, making that attempt at boosting his confidence pointless. “Strong and…a-and to be brave…ooh, maybe if I fight I can prove to myself I am strong…”

T’charrl didn’t really take note of how strong he had been getting physically, but he still didn’t really have any muscle in this form. Takeshi would probably win if he tried to take him on in a fight without using his energy. “I come in a lot of forms too, I guess. I don’t know about punching holes in mountains, people might live there…” Feeling slightly confused by Takeshi, he did get the overall gist of it. Trying to explain how he felt after his experiences after war he hoped he didn’t just confused Takeshi, but from the sounds of it he didn’t find too much confusion. “Yeah, but that’s pretty normal. I guess it’s not healthy, but a lot of soldiers go through it and can be really bad if you’re not a good person”. Probably the one they had to worry about with it was Viral considering he was the warrior and not exactly carefree like Shu. Viral had the potential of becoming the next General even if he was on their side.

To look for survivors in this mess seemed more like it would be more of a distraction than anything else. They hadn’t found the whereabouts of the King and Krom and without being able to sense their energy everything had come to a standstill. They weren’t on a mission to find the injured, they were supposed to be going after their prime enemy right now. Kai couldn’t be bothered with any of this and was trying to find the energy of Krom or the King while they all fussed around in this area doing generally nothing important. Going along with everyone while they were contemplating, the sound and sight of an alien emerging immediately put him on edge. Yumi’s very quick show of peace came to a relief to him when it worked, but now they had to deal with this alien over the King. It looked like a nasty little lizard to him, but dismissing that fact the lizard was giving them some pretty handy information.

Choi didn’t know what to make of the alien but the information he was giving them was about enough for them to find the King and Krom much to his dislike. He didn’t want to find them now that he thought about it, he kind of hoped they had left the planet by now. Sighing as Yumi decided to give the alien some treatment he looked away, frowning. “If we come back, you know? We don’t know if we’ll win or lose at this point”, he spoke before looking back, “Uhh I’m not trying spread doubt, I mean…just incase. They are out there somewhere and we’re out in the open”.
Trying to get out of this place wasn’t going to be easy with so much attention on him right now, his identity as a machine only hindering his ability to remove himself from the scene. It wasn’t his fault that he was attacked and yet he was being blamed for something he couldn’t understand, as if he was doing something bad. He recognised something bad had been done but he didn’t know why it had to be him. All of these accusations and all he had done was defend himself. He couldn’t tell if he was feeling frightened or his sensors were picking up danger. There was always one problem with being a Machina: not knowing if his emotions were real. There could be no danger at all, but if his sensors were correct he would have to prepare for battle.

Making his sudden dash around the large man he was immediately cut off, the man turning around and grabbing at his collar before pulling him back. Stumbling back on his feet, the Machina stared up with concern as the man immediately laughed. “Who built you then, ehh?? Whose face did you steal, little machine?” the man spoke in a deep, gruff voice, moving when the little Machina tried to get around him, “What’s your serial number??”

“That’s…not information for you, sir!” the Machina spoke before making a brief run around the man, managing to escape his grasp this time. He didn’t know who he was but he did wear a suit, probably a bad decision on his part to run if that was the case. The man wasn’t a normal man most likely and looking back he saw an emblem on his suit, one that was usually associated with figures of authority. Gasping upon realisation that he might be in a little more trouble than he thought he immediately spun around, seeing how many of them there actually was.

There was the man and three other men with highly visible weapons who had insisted on approaching him about this fiasco, all of them turning to face him and looking like they were about to run after him if he didn’t stop. Now he was in trouble, but it wasn’t his fault. He didn’t start the fight and it was the man who pulled a weapon on him. As far as he was concerned he was innocent, but apparently not in these people’s eyes. Was it really true that he was the bad guy here? There was just no sense to it, especially when he hadn’t done anything wrong.

“Look, I-…I don’t know what I did wrong, but please leave me alone. I never asked for trouble!” Turning around again he tried to head on his way, but with one quick look again the men starting moving after him. Panicking, the Machina instead broke into a run, pushing past the crowd to try and get out of sight again. Already he was feeling regret for his actions but people were quickly trying to get away from him as well, frightened of what he was while managing to give him a good path to follow. He didn’t know whether to be concerned that they were doing this or glad that they were giving him a path.

Making one last look behind him he saw the men were following him, pushing their way past the crowd. This was not good at all, he just wanted to leave and disappear from this place. Turning around immediately he spun around again, not really giving a good look at it before feeling a sudden yank at his leg. Someone had stuck their walking stick out at him which got caught on his leg, causing him to stumble and immediately bump into a young man, falling to the stone floor with a hard thump. He didn’t have time to register what had happened, but without much time to get up again the guards were already on the scene.
Shu knew he needed more confidence in himself but he was so tired of trying to be what he wasn’t. He wasn’t strong enough for this whether mentally or physically, only wishing someone like Vegeta or someone stronger took his place. Maybe he was simply scared of what he could do in an angered state and scared that he might hurt his friends, but he was always going to have to conquer that fear if he was going to fight with everyone. He didn’t know how they could trust him so much, but maybe they just wanted him to feel good about himself and who he was. Maybe he was just having a bit of a crisis right now and seeing all the death didn’t help. Feeling particularly nervous and not in the best of mind-sets right now he looked to Yumi, trying to take his mind off the scene below. “Okay to be…afraid…? Oohh…even if I am afraid of what makes me bad? I mean, I don’t have any control and haven’t been learning. I don’t know how to get better at it! I-If Father sees I still can, what if he tries to take me for it again?”

T’charrl felt a little confused by Takeshi’s reasoning but soon sighed. “Ehhh, I think what happened to me was the most surprising thing ever. I don’t know, I mean…a lot of energy doesn’t equal physical strength, right? I could blast holes everywhere but when it comes to throwing punches, I don’t know how strong I am. I try to avoid doing that, I mean…I didn’t really do much hand to hand combat and my frame keeps changing depending on what form I’m in. I still think I’m stronger in my other forms than this”. He didn’t want to sound like he had lots of confidence in himself and then end up failing terribly; that would just embarrass him. “Well I mean, I can try…but that doesn’t mean it would work. It actually stresses me out more when I know there’s no war and that I won’t face getting kidnapped or killed, it’s not normal for me not to be actively scouting or fighting the General’s men. Makes me feel paranoid. I might be feeling the opposite effect of what Shu feels, I guess”.

When looking at the city from this view, T’charrl couldn’t find any idea popping into his head as to why this place appeared as it did. He didn’t know the Saiyan’s strategies but if this was unusual then he would have to take their word for it, instead looking around for any signs of life. These aliens looked rather strange, even if a lot of them in the immediate area were dead. It was weird, he hadn’t seen a battle pattern like this before even if they were fighting from the ground. They looked like they had been throwing themselves at the enemy rather than trying to prevent the attack or flee if they thought they couldn’t win, but this felt all wrong. There didn’t appear to be any real strategy, they looked like they had been more of a nuisance to the Saiyans than actively battling. Feeling fair concerned, he felt the energy in the air with hope that he might be able to help. “I don’t feel anything. The people are gone, somehow”, he spoke, looking around slowly, “I don’t sense much energy other than what’s been used here. It feels like only a little bit was used compared to what could had been. The people here fled, maybe…and I wouldn’t mind if we can keep moving too…”
Shu wasn’t actually sure what his father would want with him even if he did manage to get captured, not knowing if he would just try to control him again for whatever reason or just take him so he could have him. He was feeling scared that something terribly bad would happen along the way as well but he was fair prepared to accept the inevitable no matter what happened. It made him wonder if he was going to be able to do anything against his father, especially when he hadn’t been training all that much because people were hesitant to train with him lately. “We know how to fight, but we have never gone against Father before”. Feeling unsure about his whole predicament he made a light sigh as he thought through all the bad things that could happen instead, his eyes going to Yumi again as she spoke. “Everyone? I-I-I…I want to! I just-…I just don’t know. I’m scared, I guess…I guess I don’t know if they believe in me too”. Feeling all worried he stared at Yumi as she tried to give him encouragement, slowly nodding before letting out a sigh, nodding. “I’ll try…I’ll try. I want to protect people! I do! I want to be good supporting person!”

Choi never did like people talking about death like it was nothing, but then again they did see two people who were dead for probably longer than they had been mentally aware come back alive again. Kai was pretty numb to death but he still thought about it when it involved him or his brother. Neither of them wanted to die and would hope they would get some mercy from the King and Krom because of what they were and how unique they functioned, but they didn’t want to be forced into service again. Choi simply sighed at this revelation, shrugging lightly. “Hey well, if our plan goes well then we can only assume that part will work too, you know? I’m not that afraid of pain”. He only hoped if Shu did decide to change and take over that he wouldn’t be in his way as well. It would be pretty terrible if they accidentally got in the way of that ball of rage.

T’charrl didn’t know what he was supposed to do in the fight other than exploit his powers. He didn’t want to use them in such fashions when he didn’t really have control over himself and it would be even worse if he tried to use his powers and they didn’t work, causing him to fail terribly. He didn’t know where people got the idea that he was strong in his near-normal form, he just didn’t have the physical strength behind his attacks. Frowning at Takeshi, he slowly shook his head, looking down at himself momentarily before shaking his head. “I don’t think it’s a confidence issue I have, I just…know my strength, is all”. He really didn’t know how he was supposed to help Shu with his issues when he wasn’t familiar with them or how he was supposed to be treated. Hearing Takeshi make the connection he frowned, looking away again. “That kind of stuff was normal for a while on my planet. I coped with it because I was determined to escape because I knew I could when I was eventually left alone. That’s the only reason I was able to see it through. It was just another battle for me to fight”.

Upon arriving at the city, the sight of it was certainly strange with little reasoning behind the attacks. It looked like the soldiers were being annoying in certain parts of the city and were blasted because of that, but it didn’t appear as if Krom or Yamate wanted everything destroyed. Despite this reasoning, Shu moved closer to Yumi and tried to remove his view from it. Staring down at it, Kai and Choi looked to Takeshi when he approached them, both looking at each other quickly before Kai spoke up. “Could be that we just walked right into a trap. Could be that they just wanted to look for something and could be that they have left already”, he spoke, looking back down at the city, “Could had been warning shots over anything, kind of like when we went off to do this sort of stuff. Seems weird that they would want to do it themselves”.
Shu was on his way up when he turned to Yumi again, staring at her as she spoke. He didn’t think things were going to be that simple even when he was a fairly naïve kid, he knew what they were doing was a massive risk on their part. “Not alone? Ooh, I guess…but if I get taken, I will be alone”, he sighed, looking to the others, “I don’t want people taking a hit that I can take instead, though…” If there was one thing he didn’t want happening that was having everyone get hurt just to stop him from getting hurt. He was a warrior and was supposed to be brave and strong, not hide behind everyone because he was scared of losing. Feeling a little guilty that he was not a great ally or friend to his team he slowly looked to Yumi, staring at her before letting out a groan. “It’s not about that too much, I mean…I don’t want to make you upset! But…I have other things I need to worry about too…” he spoke, feeling unsure about this fight completely, “Everybody wants me to be a strong fighter and be able to help, but…I just feel useless. What do I do? I don’t know how to help and I just get mad and-…that’s not what a warrior does. I don’t want to have to be protected all the time…but I know I have a hard time by myself too. I’m used to being in a big family, a clan where everyone protected each other. I don’t know how to be strong by myself…”

Choi was not sure if everything would go according to plan but he was still willing to wait and see if the King was going to be as aggressive as he could be towards them or simply see them all as simply pests before leaving. Anything could happen and they didn’t know if the King was merciful when he was really strong. There was always that possibility, but he really didn’t know anything about the King if that was going to be the immediate assumption. The King could be as cruel as he was rumoured to be and just destroy them. “’Blaze of glory’? I’d rather you didn’t, honestly”, he sighed, looking a little concerned before shrugging, “If that plan doesn’t work and he swats us away like flies, I hope you have a backup plan too as to how we’re going to take him down too. He might see through our big idea! Backup plans could be a good idea right about now…”

T’charrl felt he was not going to have the best of luck in this battle and the doubt everyone else was feeling was really getting to him, only building up by a fair amount and managing to infect his mind with terrible thoughts. He wasn’t as thick skinned as the others and really held very little belief in his own abilities. If he didn’t change somehow then he was probably going to be broken apart and Takeshi telling him he was strong didn’t make him feel all that confident. “You’ve not trained with me before so how do you know? I could only use my energy well and even then I’m not very good at it”. There was only one way he was going to stand a fighting chance and that was if he transformed, by the sound of it Takeshi was trying to push him to use it too. What a time he was going to have with this matchup, it seemed, and he wasn’t too happy with having to resort to that. Scratching his neck in wonderment to whether he had been too blunt he looked to Takeshi again when he made a request, feeling confused over it. “Huh? Uhh…what do you mean?” he asked before looking away, “I don’t know how to help myself, nevermind what’s wrong with Shu. What can I do?”
Alright great, cause there's not much else for my part other than filler so that should be fine.
Aye I remember! If you want you can post something and I'll see to it.
