Shu was scared that he was going to be left alone and tickling wasn’t making him shake off that fear, even if he was usually quite happy to play around with her. He was still unhappy over what happened before and felt he couldn’t quite recover from that over one little attempt at playing. Shu didn’t know how long this was going to be a problem for them, he didn’t know how it was supposed to be prevented nevermind trying to fix it. “But how long…? Why does it happen to me? Nobody ever talks to me about it…” He felt alone with it any with nobody to talk to about it, he was trapped with worrying over it forever. Nothing could possibly fix it if it had been happening since Earth. Holding onto Yumi’s hands with his tail he frowned when she took her hands back, placing them down as she tried to reassure him over this whole mess. He was scared after his dream, but he did want to do something other than possibly go back to sleep and end up having a scary dream again. “…I would like that…” he muttered, looking to the nurse briefly before down at the floor, “I am still all hurting, though…but…I-I still want to see…”

Viral didn’t know the status of his treatment for what he considered to be the most important part and every time he asked about it all he was getting was a very vague answer. He wasn’t seeing what they were doing to try and fix it, he would’ve thought they would need to be with him a lot to try and fix it up and yet here they were not even touching him to see what might help ease his damaged body. “If I suddenly start deteriorating fast, it’ll be on both of you”. He didn’t know what might happen to him further, but he wasn’t really willing to find out. To have nothing happen to him other than the injector made him feel very uncomfortable, especially when he had to rely on that and his senses to be able to prevent an attack. Staring at Vegeta and his poor attempt at a joke he let out a sigh, shaking his head. “I don’t understand why you think me sprouting all sorts of features is supposed to be considered ‘tame’ to you. Me being unable to fight without something happening is hardly what I would consider ‘tame’ either. Your optimism certain manages to get annoying at the best of times…” he spoke before he sighed, rubbing his head, “But…fine. I’ll do it if it gets you to shut up. If anything happens to me or to someone else because of me, it’s your fault. You got that?”
Cecil didn’t really understand a lot that was being said but he was going to go with it, seeing how he had a lot he could be thinking about that was probably more important. They certainly seemed to be trying to work out what was wrong with him and how he functioned, but he didn’t know why they might be trying so hard when it was essentially not bothering him all that much. If he did have amnesia over that event then maybe it was something he didn’t want to remember, but he couldn’t be sure without actually knowing the backstory behind that and why he felt it was necessary to remember the light and the aftermath of his possible escape.

“Uhh yeah, I am! I mean…since I was activated, since my internal clock has been running”, he spoke, thinking about it briefly before looking to Amuné when she made a strange comment, simply wondering how that was relevant. “Look like a baby? But I wasn’t made to look like a baby…” He didn’t understand how that might work; he was made to look like he did now, not like anything else. Smiling, he listened to Ethan’s explanation of the Saints, finding it to be a rather curious thing before an even stranger question came into play. “Flesh? I am not that, so I don’t know”, he spoke, tapping his cheek thoughtfully, “I don’t know how Machina work, though. I’ve never seen another one like me”.

Whatever was wrong with him was probably going to remain a mystery for now, or at least until he found someone who knew how to fix him. He didn’t know how many of his own kind were wandering around for people to know how he might be repaired, meaning most of his repairs had been done by himself. Keeping fairly quiet as they walked along the path he did want to interact with the occasional person they passed by, but he was a little wary after what happened yesterday. He didn’t know if they might had heard about what happened, but he wasn’t ready to take any chances either. To have focus on caution like this felt out of character for him, but if he had to be careful then he would be careful.

Coming to the bridge, Cecil felt rather overwhelmed by the river’s presence as water flowed rapidly underneath it, his eyes staring at it curiously before he quickly turned to Ethan and Amuné, looking rather nervous. He hadn’t come across so much water before so it was a little intimidating, especially when it could potentially be dangerous. He didn’t know how much water there was or whether there was some kind of depth to it, but he was thankful that there was a river there. Watching Ethan and Amuné for a moment he soon took his attention back to the river, their need for food being drawn to it for some reason. He probably wouldn’t be of much use here, he didn’t know how he might handle water nor did he know what he was supposed to use for getting food from there, but that was probably their worries. He would’ve just continued onwards if he was by himself, but they needed food so he would have to wait with them until they managed to get some. “How long is this going to take?”
Krom wasn’t falling for anything at this rate and was trying to play it cool, even if the man was getting on his nerves a lot. He stood by his decision to remain on the King’s side even with all of his power and his potential ability to change things. He didn’t see how he could make even more of a difference than what he already was doing, at least not anything that would be positive. His people counted on him and he wasn’t about to let them down. “That is nothing to do with me or the King. If the rebels want to start removing more of our own and dividing them up like this then we’re all going to be weak on all fronts”. He saw no reason to take any of the blame when he wasn’t the one who was defecting on all sides and making the bond weaker by removing links. Sitting back as Aito decided to give him a rant about clashing cultures, sighing lightly instead. “They’re in a war, they even came to us willingly and wanted to fight us. They wanted to kill their father and you’re saying they didn’t deserve to be tested? Look, if they did that to a real opponent, they would be dead! We didn’t force them to come to us or fight us…”

Shu really did hope so, he didn’t want to have ruined the bond he had with his brother. Takeshi was his only family left that cared about him and if he made him upset or angry at him then he didn’t know who he was going to have left. He had his friends, but he wanted his family. Sighing as he moved back a little he didn’t feel what Yumi was saying was helping him much, but he still leaned into Yumi as he tried to find some support after everything that happened. “B-But…I changed…and…” Gasping when she poked his nose he raised a hand to his face, hiding behind it momentarily before looking up at Yumi. He didn’t know how to feel happy, even if Yumi was trying to help him through it. Looking to her briefly he gasped when she reached over to tickle him, his hands flailing at first before his tail came around to try and grab her. “Please no…I-I don’t deserve fun! It hurts…”

Viral didn’t know how he’d do when it meant going out and doing what was going to be practically slave labour just so he’d forget he was hearing things, but he didn’t know what else to do. If he went anywhere else to work he’d probably end up creating some weapon or something or find himself too frustrated to continue trying to work if it was too quiet. He didn’t know how he’d react in a builder’s environment or how they might do things on this planet since it probably wouldn’t be very good if he had to use machinery. There was probably better options out there that he could do instead of all of this but he didn’t know what that was yet, if anything would be good at all. “That’s if I get well again. Remember it’s my genes that are being slowly destroyed, not just my mental health”, he spoke, glancing to Vegeta before away again, “I’ll be fine with it so long as I don’t end up killing someone because they looked at me. I nearly chopped Takeshi’s head off because he decided to look at me a little too personally and that was nothing to do with my mental state. I don’t know how long I have left to get everything else I need fixed…”
Cecil didn’t know where the memories had gone but it didn’t happen that long ago for him to forget it ever happened, nor had he done much in his short life to blow it off as nothing. He wasn’t exactly sure what he was supposed to do with a corrupt memory so he kept it anyway, preferring not to forget it unless it was completely irrelevant to his existence. He took his existence as new life to heart and was happy to be alive, even if others weren’t sharing that same feeling towards him. He may be a monster to some people, but he was more than happy to be existing and wouldn’t be brought down by silly words.

Getting a little lost in thought he adjusted his hat before looking back to Amuné, staring at her as she made a strange suggestion. He had never heard of something like amnesia before and it definitely worked to confuse him, tilting his head slightly before blinking. “Huh? Not that old?” he asked himself, looking to the sky. He didn’t understand what a healer was or what a blessing from some Saint Edos meant to him, especially when he wasn’t like the others. He didn’t have a body like them so whether it had the same afflictions and needed the same treatments he really had no idea. “I am 8 months and 15 days old. You’re not much older than me? I am…I am unsure to what a blessing of Saint Edos is. I’ve never heard of such a thing before”.

Finding it much to strange, he knew he was going to end up thinking about it until they found a solution. Maybe it was amnesia he had, whatever that was. If she thought it was amnesia then that must mean amnesia was the loss of a memory. If that was the case and people got the same problem then maybe he was like people enough for such a blessing of Saint Edos to work. Getting excited fair briefly at the opportunity he turned around quickly, smiling briefly before giving Amuné a good staring at. It was certainly a curiosity to find someone like him too, maybe he’ll find out what he was created for too. “I wonder. I mean…I don’t know what I’m supposed to do or why I was built, but the city should have the answers I’m looking for. Somebody made me and I certainly do want to find out who did and why”.
Krom was not really in a good mood anymore and even if he was the one who was getting all angry about everything, he wasn’t the one who was calling Aito a coward. He could easily call this man a coward for not confronting him like you should confront someone like him, using words that were only serving to anger him because Aito knew he was cornered and any wrong move would send him out for execution. Narrowing his gaze at Aito he soon huffed, shifting himself on his seat. “I do my job right and that’s all that should matter. It shouldn’t matter that it’s not the side you prefer, what matters is the Saiyans are alive and not facing extinction once again”.

“They are old enough to be fighting wars and destroying their enemies by now. The King has high hopes that they can become great warriors if they really try, but lately they’ve been more concerned with hanging around and being lazy. They’ll show their greatness if they decide to train with me”. He didn’t see what the big deal was, it was just a harder exam than what other Saiyan warriors got when they were training to be warriors. It’s not like they were going out to destroy innocent people. Those aliens on the other planet had done great wrongs so it wasn’t the same. “Hmm, I’m not the villain…only to them I’m the villain”, he spoke, leaning back, “I heard the Beastman was treated the same way too, he was even tortured and nearly killed by Korian. And for what? Killing the King’s own soldiers? But you’re right; not everyone in the war has a choice. Being born into the war gives you very little choice”.

Shu felt rather sad and lonely, rather hoping he could see Takeshi after all of this trauma. He had done terrible things he couldn’t control and didn’t know how to fix it without Takeshi around to help him through it. He couldn’t tell the nurse why he was feeling all anxious, she wouldn’t know what he was talking about and if she ended up knowing she may end up getting scared of what he was talking about. Looking back to her when she tried to explain the situation he sighed lightly, slowly shifting back on his bed. “Maybe…Takeshi will come back…yeah…” Feeling a little depressed over that thought he stared at the woman when she offered him some painkillers, feeling a little curious about it and yet not particularly desiring them either. “I…umm…I don’t want to say what it is…”

Feeling confused and a little depressed he gasped when he heard the door open up, looking to it quickly only to see Yumi there. She looked pretty bandaged up with his immediate thought being if he hurt her. Squeaking lightly, he stared at her for a moment before looking between her and the nurse, wondering what Yumi was wanting to see him for. He felt a little scared as if he was in trouble, even if she wouldn’t shout at him for doing something bad. Lowering his head when the nurse agreed he slowly rubbed his hands together, feeling how weak he was by how little pressure he could apply in his anxiety. When she gave him a hug he leaned into her, feeling a great desire for comfort when he felt terribly alone right now. “I-I don’t know if I’m okay…Miss is being very nice to me”, he spoke, lowering his head, “I feel too bad to eat. I-I just-…I just want-…I did really bad. I’m scared. I did really bad…”

Viral stared blankly at Vegeta, feeling rather uninspired by his memory even though he probably shouldn’t be. If only he could remember such things and as it stood he couldn’t remember much at all, even what Aito had been trying to restore to him. “I was never good at listening to stories…or reading them. If you remember the stories then that’s fine, you take that job and keep those in mind”. Unlike Vegeta he didn’t really see him being celebrated as a hero for doing what he did, probably because he had failed miserably in helping them and probably made things worse. Maybe if the others didn’t end up getting hurt and dragged into this war he would feel better, but after everything and hiding it for so long he couldn’t help but wonder how much mistrust he had built up with the others. They might wonder why he waited so long before revealing the truth, as if he didn’t trust them to not hate him. What a stupid trail of thought he was going through right now, but he was struggling to get past that. Rubbing his head thoughtfully he turned to look at Vegeta, finding it awfully hard to take in what he was suggesting. “You want me to…do manual labour? And you’re sure about that, especially with all that noise and tools”, he spoke, looking away, “You seem fairly alright with giving me a way to be useful for a change to society, even if it means using me and what little strength I have left…”
Cecil thought he was helping until he got told otherwise, his assumptions not appearing to be true at all. Staring at Ethan for a brief second he soon converted his finger back to normal, slowly backing off before giving a quick nod. “Okay, if you say so”. He really didn’t get it, but oh well. Maybe it was just one of those things he hadn’t experienced yet, but even then maybe he didn’t really want to experience it again. It was a noisy and annoying noise, only managing to hold them up when they could be well on their way elsewhere. He would’ve been long gone from here by now if he didn’t feel compelled to hang around with these people, seeing how they helped him escape and all.

Having the patience to wait around for this all to pass was probably his best idea of a break, but he felt he couldn’t afford to be waiting around for something like this. He really didn’t understand, he thought being independent from others was the best feeling in the world and to be making a strange noise over something like a ‘daddy’ or whatever made no sense to him. He was free to bounce around and do whatever he wanted, it was the bad men who didn’t agree on him doing that. They wanted to take him back and shut him down, removing his freedom to think and do what he wanted even if he was on a bit of a set path right now.

Staring off in his desired direction he almost bounced when he heard Ethan mention the oil, spinning around and almost getting a fright when he saw the girl on his shoulders. That wasn’t exactly expected but whatever, he wasn’t going to be rude about how weird it was. “The city! Maybe…maybe there will be spare parts too…” he contemplated, wondering what he could pick up. Maybe he could get some new gears and some pocket gadgets, that would be handy. Feeling happy to be on their way again he looked to Ethan when questioned on his origins, staring at him before looking away. “I didn’t come from a city…or at least I don’t remember. I remember being activated and seeing a bright shining light, but after that…I don’t know. The next thing I remember seeing was the path ahead and nothing behind, like I had travelled miles from where ever they made me. I think those memories are corrupted, but I feel drawn towards a city so maybe I didn’t come from one. You said Machina come from cities, right? I want to see what other Machina are like…”
Now Krom was really starting to get annoyed with Aito, his attempts at dominating him with insults getting to be very irritating. “Don’t you dare put words in my mouth just because I’m the one in chains or I’ll stop answering your questions! I don’t have to tell you anything, I would be quite happy to go into a cell right now and keep quiet about all this of you would just knock it off with the insults!” Letting out a sigh he soon spoke up again, hardly looking too happy with having to talk to the man like this. “Defecting is pointless when the stronger side, the side that knows what they’re doing, is the Kingdom! I want to survive and to be strong, I want to be able to fight for my people who are all probably being judged because of the King’s actions and orders. So long as my people are with the King, I’m with my people”.

Krom was probably not in the best of moods now but he was soon not caring greatly for this man until he might just start insulting him again. If the man was going to do that some more then he wasn’t going to talk about what he knew anymore and it was going to be as simple as that. There was no reason to insult him like a child when they were both adults. “Hmph, neither of us were going to injure them gravely or attack back unless they failed the test! They proved to be weak and completely unprepared, just how you might test someone in an exam”, he sighed and sat back, shifting his arms, “Yeah it would be getting recorded, but I still want to eventually and I want it to be more private than this. The worst he’ll do is put me on trial and decide I should be executed after getting all this information out of me, seeing me as having no further use because I told you everything. Wouldn’t be very good for me. I don’t really want to die so young in such a stupid fashion”.

Shu wasn’t sure whether he wanted to leave or to try and rest up a little more, finding the worry he was feeling over everyone else too difficult to handle in his weakened state. He wanted to get better and go find Takeshi, but he was having a hard time walking and thinking straight. Sniffling a little when she explained what happened to the others he ended with a squeak, looking to the floor again. “Really…? I-I hope they really are okay…” He was very worried, especially when he recalled what happened. Looking back to the woman she explained where his brother went off to, a frown appearing on his face almost immediately. “Left…? But…he always waited for me! He always…” Maybe he just went out for food and would be back shortly, that sounded like something he would do. He was confused, especially when Takeshi was always there, but now all he could think of was if he did bad again. Feeling a little depressed he kept his head lowered, slowly raising a shaky hand to it. “All over, I guess…but my head hurts worse…” he muttered, sighing, “But I would like to go soon. When can I go? I can’t sleep in here, not very well…”

Viral didn’t know what happened on Earth after he left, only knowing Takeshi and Shu had decided to go after him in a rather hasty fashion after the battle. It felt like so long ago but it still meant a lot to him that he had sacrificed himself for what felt like nothing in the end. “And yet look where I am now: barely functioning, my mind collapsing. Some end to the story, don’t you think?” His head was really starting to hurt again and he was about ready to bash his skull against something just to deaden the pain. It was a continuous cycle, especially when his mind was not behaving and was instead sending him into despair constantly. It wasn’t as bad as it used to be when it first started acting up, he wasn’t seeing Vegeta as something else horrific quite yet. Lowering his paws again he turned to Vegeta, frowning as he tried to give him a plan to what he should be trying to focus on next to try and fix all of this. “How do you plan on doing that…? You’ve got to have some plan running through your mind by now, but then again you and Aito keep leaving me alone with my thoughts way too much…”
Cecil had a fair good feeling he was going to finally have a chance to find out more about himself if he went that way, maybe discover why people hated his kind once they knew who he was. Finding the oil was great and all, but he would still need to find out more along the way. Did they need oil too? Did they worry about getting sore in the same way too? He had so many questions but it felt he was going to be rude if he just straight up asked. “To the cities…lots of machines? Vehicles…huh…” he spoke before he started to giggle, rubbing his hands together, “Maybe…maybe I’ll find more like me! I want to know what I am…you know what that means? Do you know what that means to me?”

Cecil was certainly very excited now and eager to get going along the road, even if the very start of his journey was getting oil. This guy was heading to the cities and he was allowed to follow despite the boy knowing what he was. It felt like a big weight had been taken off his chest, even if his chest consisted of nothing more than gears and wires. There was an odd feeling building up inside him after that realisation, one that meant he was possibly feeling new emotions. Was this anxiety? Maybe, he certainly did feel shaky with an odd emptiness inside him as if filled with air. He somehow knew the words to these emotions he managed to pick up once they first happened, but he didn’t know how to explain that even to himself.

Turning around briefly once it seemed they were going to be on their journey he turned around again when he realised Ethan was questioning his proposals. Staring at him for a moment he soon smiled, feeling a little nervous. “Really? But…how does ‘knocking them out’ work better than destroying? If they’re out then they’ll come back in and come after us, right?” he asked before shrugging, “Probably doesn’t matter! Right? To get away…that sounds logical. To run really fast again, right?” Even if he didn’t understand he wasn’t going to do anything that might meet the disapproval of others.

Now that everything seemed to make much more sense, things could finally start moving. He could find out what he is and see why the city was so appealing to him and why he felt compelled to go in that direction. “Half a day? Beyond a river…I hope there’s a way to cross…” he muttered, thinking it through before gasping, suddenly being alerted to the strange noise that was coming to the girl. Turning towards her, he tilted his head before letting out a groan, pressing his fingers against his head as if trying to plug his ears. “Why is that a noise? It’s awful! I don’t like it…” He just wanted to continue but this girl was making a noise as if alerting others to their presence. He really wanted to get going on his journey, but that was just holding him back. Frowning, he moved towards Ethan and the animal, holding up a finger which changed shape, looking like the end of a blowtorch which soon sparked to life into a small flame powered by some sort of fuel. “I can fix leaks if that’s the cause for concern”.
Krom was having a hard time believing Aito when he was not giving him the friendliest of words regarding his side and not really saying much about the rebels other than they are partly wrong, especially when he was being made out to be a common criminal. “Hmph, ‘kill Yamate’? Like you could do something like that…” he grunted, shaking his head, “You act as if it’s easy to know who is in the ‘right’ in all this, but I stand by the fact I am not the bad guy here! I follow orders, I don’t get killed; that’s it. That’s the life of a Saiyan warrior in today’s world”. This guy probably had the luxury of being a citizen on Earth for so long without knowing or caring what life was like elsewhere, not knowing the life of a soldier. Saying he was to blame was like saying he was purposely born into this role and that frustrated him. “Oh yeah sure, I’m sure many people would be super happy to be turned into hybrids so we can have an advantage against the monsters! We can’t rely on one Beastman to take down an organisation of those things…”

Krom was starting to wonder how long this was going to take now. They had been at this nonsense for some time now and all Aito was trying to do was make him feel bad for what he did. Sighing lightly, Krom tried to calm down just so he didn’t just want to leave and go back to whatever cell they were going to give him. He had no doubt there was probably a lot of rebels ready and waiting for him just incase he tried anything and yet that was proving to be a better thought than having to talk about all this irrelevant information. “Yeah well, he didn’t even know where it came from when he first used it so don’t lecture me about its use”. All of this talk was something that was probably better to be discussed with Yamate. None of this was his project and all he could do was watch and make sure the orders went through without consequences. “What do you think I’m here for? I came here to talk to Korian about all this! Those kids need proper training against those creatures and I was going to give it to them. Their performance against Yamate was laughable at best: Takeshi could barely lay a finger on me, the only one who could got blasted by Shu, Yamate had four on him and they all got blasted away while Shu turned on his brother with just a toss! Unfortunately, I’ve got to wait for Korian for all that, where ever he is…”

Shu was still scared even with the nurse present, not having been alone like this in a long time since his capture. He was scared for the others and worried that they might be badly injured because of him, knowing he changed and went on a rampage. Takeshi not being here made him worry that he really did hurt him as bad as he imagined, but the nurse was reassuring everyone was going to be okay. Staring up at the nurse as he squeaked quietly to himself he slowly moved to the bed with her, slowly sitting down on it with her guidance. “T-They’re…okay…? I-I thought…that…” Tugging at the bed’s covers a little he squeaked when the nurse held some sort of machine up at him, freezing up before relaxing. Not having a great understanding with what was happening he rubbed his feet together, staring down at himself before slowly pressing his fingers against his stomach. “I-I-…I don’t know. I don’t know what I want…” he squeaked, slowly shaking his head, “Feel all hurting…a-and not sure what-…where’s brother? I want to see Takeshi!”

“I’m supposed to be strong, but being the first to be taken must had cast doubt. To be taken when everyone else managed to beat them must had made me look so weak…the only logical explanation is to come to the conclusion that I betrayed everyone. Unless…they already saw me as weak…like I am now”, Viral spoke before letting out a groan, holding his head, “I can’t…shake it off…” The constant negativity and doubt continued to creep in, telling him he was wrong to think they thought he was innocent. He tried hard to overcome it but it continued to take over his thoughts, making him feel terrible every single time. It was agony at best and even if this kind of thought pattern was tame he still found it hard to fight. Running a hand through his hair he made a glance at Vegeta before looking away again, raising his shoulders. This praise was not making it through very well when he was constantly being told by himself that it was all false, but he didn’t know how to stop it. All of these thoughts and voices were what drove him mad the first time and he still had trouble keeping them at bay. “…You said this only ‘further cemented your desire’; you had doubts about helping me before? The desire wasn’t solid enough before? How do you even start to help this? I can’t even think clearly without being drive to madness from all these thoughts…my head doesn’t want to accept anything you’re saying. I’m not strong enough for any of this…’praise’…”
Aito was still trying to defend the actions of the rebels even after all of his admittance that the rebels weren’t doing a terribly good job, managing to irritate him quite a lot. The rebels were assuming they were doing good when all they were doing was leaving the planets they won vulnerable to attack when they all decided to be placed under their own rule again. They didn’t know what they were doing and this was the point on his surrender, but it didn’t help matters that he couldn’t complete his first job when the man wasn’t even here. “You’re only saying that because you believe you’re on the ‘good’ side…” Maybe once Korian got here things would be better, but then again maybe he would just sound exactly like Aito before deciding to openly put him in the docks and torture him repeatedly for his actions. “Hmph, I don’t care for your words that much when you’re constantly bashing my existence, but the collars are something I don’t agree upon either. Having slaves is lowly; it’s better to convince people you’re on the side that does it best”.

Krom was still only wanting to get off the scientific talk incase he said something that was out of line, that he wasn’t supposed to reveal to the enemy. The collar stuff was fine, but the fact that this guy knew about the Beastman project made him wary to tell too much. There was always the possibility he may end up having the King know and come to terminate him before he spoke too much about it, but he wouldn’t go down without a fight if that was the case. Talking about Viral so much was annoying him a little bit, especially when he was still an artificial creature and not a natural soldier, taking his strength from science. “Viral could create a mech out of nowhere after half a year of his recruitment, used it to level settlements. Don’t know what it is but doubt he needs a partner. Creating artificial fighters was the best solution, not that I know how many there are now…hmph, rather disgusting if you ask me”. He knew whatever they’d create wouldn’t be like Viral, but they could still try if it meant winning the war against the creatures. “They probably know the truth but don’t care! So what if our methods are a little…aggressive, Korian just wants to be the top Saiyan and just sees the monsters as a pest!”

Shu could barely look around the room without feeling trapped and confused, his head still in pain after his last transformation. His body was still sore and weak, but scampering into the corner proved he still had strength in him somewhere. From what he could tell he was in a small hospital room completely isolated from anyone, but that didn’t help him after what he dreamed and knowing it was a reality not long ago. Letting out a light whine he pressed himself into the corner, trying to isolate himself from all of these thoughts and fears before he let out a squeak when he realised someone was there. At first he thought he had been captured again after hurting all his friends, feeling completely terrified that he was going to be taken before instead the woman decided to try and help him stand, telling him his location. Staring up at her as he was helped to his feet he let out a pining whine, trying to weakly cuddle against the nurse. “…Did bad…bad things! Friends hurt because I-…” he paused, trying to raise his arms up to hold onto the nurse but he was too weak, “I bad little Shu! Very bad! Bad Shu hurt friends! Brother hurt by Shu…where brother? Bad Shu, making hurt…”

Viral was not optimistic about telling everyone what happened back then, knowing it would just sound like an excuse for his capture. It had been so long since he spoke up about it and telling them what he had intended just to make them feel better felt like it wouldn’t work in the long run. It would make them sound like he was fooling them into some complicated lie he had been working out over the year. “For all they know I was just taken and adding new information into the mix would make me sound guilty no matter what I say. If they already guessed I was taken because I let them but don’t speak up about it, that’s fine with me”. He felt he was being backed into a corner over this, that he had to go out and tell them everything he knew about what happened. Not having the biggest chunk of confidence left in him he looked to Vegeta, staring at him as he tried to convince him to think otherwise. He really didn’t know what to make of the whole notion, finding it hard to come up with an excuse. Growling lowly he looked away, slowly rubbing his head. “I am…not sure. Even if I told everyone on the field that day that I was going to spare them the trouble, they would’ve tried to come after me. They would never accept my decision to become one of them, to allow them to use my genetic makeup to their advantage. There was no other way to stop the attacks other than through bargaining but even then, what kind of solution is that? I’d still be gone! But I wasn’t of much use while I was on Earth either. The Earth offered nothing for me and I still took the bullet to try and save it! What kind of sacrifice is that? That’s not heroic! That’s just…me taking a free ticket off that planet…”
