Shu still had the problem of struggling to keep his mind together, but he was still going to put up with it and keep happy while he could appreciate his freedom. Giving Takeshi a little nod, he smiled at him calmly, looking down to his food again, "Uh huh, it will be nice when we free everybody else too...and your friend's families too", he nodded, going back to his food when he was all but done feeling bad about his situation he had been in before in the past. The food was great, it was definitely taking his mind off everything and with Takeshi being there it couldn’t had been better. Letting out a sigh as he patted his chest, he looked to Takeshi as he spoke up again, giving a little nod, “Uh huh…I guess so. What if they get the idea that we’re doing some of that investigating stuff?” he asked curiously, preferably not wanting to think about it but it was inevitable, “I mean, what if the General gets mad? We would be better making a trap, or something…”

Viral was fairly ready to defend himself against Yumi’s possible attacks, feeling gradually like he was getting into the spirit of fighting again. He just needed a little bit of time, that’s all. If he was going to get into fighting properly and being able to get back into the spirit of things, he would probably need to do this and get onto going up against real opponents. Watching Yumi carefully, he felt a little confused as Yumi went into a crouch before dashing, trying to jump at him with the demand that he’d hug her. Panicked a little, he made a sudden jump to the side, landing on the ground with a hard thump just to get away from her, “Agh! What are you doing??” he asked out, immediately trying to get up but struggling to do so, “I’m not giving you anything!”
Shu didn’t know how he was supposed to deal with all these insecurities and bad memories popping up all the time, all he did was keep quiet about it before except for his outburst when they were practising for the people after they caught the big sea monster. While he didn’t mean for that to happen and just put it down as something else, he felt he needed to tell Takeshi about these sorts of things now that he knew it was okay to speak up about it. Looking to Takeshi as he wrapped his arm around his shoulders he gave a little nod, already feeling better with his act of comfort. He didn’t really feel the need to move anywhere to eat and wasn’t feeling depressed enough to stop eating, especially when he was rather hungry still, “I’m okay, it’s just…back in the palace, we were held in tight places that stopped Ki from damaging it…except Mister Viral; he was held all the time by someone. I couldn’t see what they were doing, but it sounded awful. He kept yelling and screaming…I think that was the worst part about staying there”.

Viral didn’t want to give up quite yet, but he was hoping that he wasn’t going to end up using up all his energy just from throwing out a few punches. If he was to say he was struggling at all, it was staying standing up. His legs were a little weak as all his energy was focused up into his fists just so he could prove to be a tiny challenge to Yumi. Watching Yumi as he threw out the hits, he watched her go down and immediately he backed off, giving her a bit of space as he stared down at her. He didn’t know how much he might had hurt her if he had put a little more strength into his hits, but despite hitting hard he didn’t feel as if he could manage trying to pick her up again while his legs were feeling weak, “You have no idea…” he mumbled, looking to his hands before tightening them again, “I can’t help you up unless you want me falling on you…so c’mon, let’s go again. I shouldn’t had hit your face…”
Shu didn’t know what any of that food tasted like or how his stomach might handle it, but he still wanted it in him and really wanted to know what it tasted like as he consumed its goodness. Sniffing the air around the food curiously, he looked up to Takeshi as he was offered part of the food. Taking hold of the platter curiously, he looked back up at Takeshi and smiled a little, still feeling guilty nevertheless, “You sure? I don’t want to be taking for the sake of it”, he sighed, moving closer to Takeshi and properly sitting down with the food in his lap, “Okay! I will!” Picking up his food he munched into it, his eyes going to the alleyway’s walls every so often. After talking to Takeshi before, he probably should tell him how he felt right now and the scare he had before he arrived with the food. Shuffling a little on the spot, he swallowed what he had and lowered his head a little, “Umm…when you were gone…this place was scaring me”, he spoke, his voice quiet, “It felt like it was closing in, like the place the Saiyans kept me in. I didn’t like it…but I feel better now that I’m with you…”

Viral let out a groan as he slowly shifted his arms down and pushed his back off the ground, feeling pretty bad right now for having a rather bad fall after that hit. Looking up at her hand, he huffed as he took hold of her hand and slowly pulled himself up, “…I guess…” he mumbled, managing to get back to his feet. Giving his head a rub, he stared at her as if she had managed to properly humiliate him just with that hit, but sure enough he went back into a stance as he tried to focus on getting back into the game, “Enough playing around…that’s not happening again”. Moving immediately after her again he began to punch out, moving forward with each hit as if to try and overwhelm her before she could do anything about it.
Shu ran on into the alleyway pretty deep, feeling pretty unsure to what could possibly happen when it came to getting food. He was trying to figure out just how Takeshi was going to get the food without any of them finding out, but it was always hard to work out problems and possibilities like that when he had never seen them successfully pulled off. He wasn’t someone who hadn’t stolen before, he didn’t know it was bad when he was hungry and looking for food. Waiting in the alleyway for Takeshi he looked around, his eyes on the walls of the buildings for a little longer than he wanted to stare. It was fair intimidating, it felt as if they were closing in on him and yet he wasn’t moving. He didn’t like it, every second he was staring at the walls all he could think about was being trapped in that cage back at the palace, the tight constricting shackles being placed on him again as he slowly squatted down, holding his tail right up until he heard the sound of Takeshi approaching. Quickly letting go of his tail and making a short rush towards the end of the alleyway, Shu bounced right on over to Takeshi, giving him a big smile, “Ooh! Ooh! What’s that, what’s that??” he asked him quickly, taking a look at the fruit curiously, “Ooohhhh…what if we had half and half…?”

Viral gave her a suspicious look as if her suggestion that she had a good teacher meant she had been going off and finding somebody else to teach her. Grumbling a little, he threw out his attacks with the hopes that he would be able to find himself being able to do something that would further his healing. He was definitely low on energy, the sunshine only keeping him active when he had no food to help recovery. Managing to get a hit close to her face, he watched her carefully but was rendered confused at her claim, not actually sure to what she meant, “What…? What does that-“ Before he could even question it, Yumi had made her move to which he didn’t really have the concentration for blocking them. Taking the first one, he stumbled back a little with another punch knocking him off balance and instead kicked up as he fell on his back with a thud.
Shu smiled a little, giving him a nod, “Uh huh, she did say we should sell it since it’s apparently valuable”, he said quickly, looking around just incase others were listening in, “She gave it to us with the fruit for…you know, saving her son from the evil people. I think it was the General who took him, honestly, since I don’t see others around here who would want someone like that? Then again…he wanted you to kill everyone, right? They kept the guy alive instead”. He was rather confused, the only people who would order someone like a Prince to be kept prisoner would be someone with high authority and that pointed towards the General, but saying to kill everyone was contradicting them wanting the Prince to be kept alive. Tilting his head in confusion, he looked off to Takeshi again and tilted his head, his eyes quickly going off to the alleyway, “Oohh…uhhh, o-okay! Be careful…” The thought of stealing from anyone here was rather risky, he didn’t know how it was supposed to be accomplished either. Running off to the alleyway, he looked around slowly as he headed further in, feeling a little enclosed but otherwise good to stay here for even a short time.

Viral would probably take it easy on Yumi as well, he didn’t want to end up using his claws on her when she could be caught unprepared by them. He remembered tearing open Korian’s chest fairly easily when he was battling for his life, the thought fairly fresh in his memory even though he could barely make him out during the battle. He was a killing machine, there was nothing protector-like about him which definitely did make him confused over his true purpose. Looking up to Yumi again, he watched her carefully for a second before he cracked his knuckles, “Still, don’t be afraid to tell me I hurt you, or something”, he spoke, slowly moving into a suitable position that wasn’t too painful for him to hold, “I don’t even know how well you’d heal up if I hit you too hard because I had a flashback or something stupid”. Sure enough he was quickly moving again, throwing punches at her with sore limbs in hope that they would quickly become relieved through the variety of stretching it provided.
Shu wasn’t too sure about that idea, it seemed a little odd to have to steal something when he had been told it was wrong to do that before. He didn’t know what else to suggest, he probably would have had a better time asking the General how they were going to get food. Scratching his head, he looked around to try and get an idea on what he should do before he looked up to Takeshi, “Whatabout the rock, though? We got that rock, so maybe we can still use it to get money…?” he asked curiously, tilting his head a little, “I don’t know what other use can come out of it…do you know? What were we supposed to do with it, anyway? Unless you know how to steal food, but I don’t want to hurt people…”

Viral couldn’t help but feel a little bit suspicious with Yumi willingly agreeing to what he wanted to do, especially when she had been the type to usually try and suggest something else instead. Giving her a fairly suspicious look he looked towards the door before making a slow walk after her as she began to head on out, “Yeah, yeah. Heard it all before”, he mumbled, knowing she wouldn’t use all of her strength in the first place considering how frail he was. It was truly a horrible feeling, he was just glad he would never know what old age felt like. Moving out the door with her, he slowly looked around as if checking to see who might be spying on them if there was ever going to be one, “…Hmph, did this with Vegeta this morning…he was hardly happy with me”, he spoke, shaking his head, “He quickly abandoned it after he punched me in the stomach. I wasn’t finished with him, I hope you’re not going to back out…”
Shu let out a sigh, lowering his head, “Okay…no eating”, he nodded, looking back to Takeshi, “I look forward to walking and eating! I’m always feeling hungry”. He didn’t want to mention it since it would just guilt-trip Takeshi into buying him food, but he had been struggling with his hunger and trying to keep it from bothering him for quite a while now. He had received barely any food when he was locked up and ever since being able to eat again had made him realise how hungry he really was, his love for food coming back in full force. It did make him a little upset that he wasn’t allowed to eat quite yet, but he wasn’t going to let his brother onto that fact. Smiling at Takeshi, he nodded quickly and bounced around him, feeling fairly excited, “I love my staff, I can’t wait to use it! I hope it doesn’t break”, he said quickly, giving a nod before bouncing a little back, tilting his head, “Steal…? Maybe we’re best not asking the military again, they’re scary…but…steal food…? That’s so strange, that’s not like you. Won’t that get us in trouble with the military, though?”

Viral nearly fell back into the couch when she suddenly let go of him, a flow of rejection suddenly washing over him. He didn’t mean to stop her from cooking, if she wanted to cook then that was fine. Frowning a little, he looked away and towards the window, “What I want to do? Huh”, he sighed, not entirely convinced that she was actually wanting to spend time with him or she was just putting up with it all. Looking back at her at the mention of training, he slowly scratched his ribs as his eyes drifted towards the door, “I’d train if you’re willing to hit back, otherwise I’d rather just go out into the sun. Being happy may be a little harder to do right now; I can’t even find a fair fight to be happy with, not unless I start beating up the locals…that might make me feel better”.
Shu stared at Takeshi, not exactly too sure what he meant by that “Voted? Ooohhh, sounds complicated”, he sighed, looking around as they finally got a little more room to breathe without worrying over being eavesdropped upon. They would have to look through this pretty thoroughly, maybe they would eventually have to leave the house and find somewhere else to live just so they weren’t under the guilt trip that the General would probably bring up if they were to start doing their own things. That guy couldn’t have been the head of the planet, there was a royal family on the other side after all. Bouncing a little around Takeshi as he looked around for clues, his mind was gradually beginning to wander to the thought of the other Saiyans before Takeshi spoke again, his head tilting into his direction, “Really? And they won’t get suspicious? Okay! We can talk to people! I like normal people more than people with swords and other pointy things…maybe we can look for some food too?”

Viral looked back to Yumi before he let out a sigh, giving his head a little shake, “Not unless I just throw it up again, then I’ll just be put off fruit for good as well”, he spoke, scratching his stomach, “You wouldn’t want to have to deal with that, I’m sure”. He didn’t know what else to do about that, he just had to wait until he would stop feeling so sick when it came to food and hope that it would pass if he was to ever enjoy eating again. He could eat as much as a Saiyan any day and not gain weight, but the most he had eaten in a month or so was a fish steak that he wasn’t too fanciful on eating anyway when it belonged to the rebels, the last thing he had tried eating being an Elite. He had gotten used to the hunger, but the very thought that his hunger nearly had him eating his opponent disgusted him to the point of feeling sick.

Viral didn’t want to think about it, everything was just making things worse for everyone else the longer he talked and groaned about it. He didn’t want to talk and groan about it, however, it was everyone else who wanted him to and that was just making everyone upset with him or springing up memories he wanted to avoid. Hearing Yumi refusing to go and do her own investigation work just made him feel just that little bit annoyed, but the suggestion that she’d cook instead confused him a little, “What? Help you cook even after I said I don’t want to go near food?” he questioned her, but found it hard to put down that suggestion. Groaning as he slowly reached out for her hand, he pulled himself up before looking to the kitchen only to feel a little bitter, “Tch, sure…to feed them…sure, I’ll help you stuff their faces with food I can barely look at. It’s just the thing I need to do”.
Shu felt confused, he didn’t know what to make of the situation right now and was just glad to be heading on out without anybody watching him anymore. He felt uneasy when someone stared at him, especially when he had no idea what they were thinking or whether they really were friendly. Letting out a sigh, he kept his head low until Takeshi spoke up, giving his reassurance over the blast and what had caused it. Tilting his head a little he looked away, scratching his chin, “Ooohhh, it’s only because we were far away and we didn’t know why the fighting started”, he sighed, shaking his head, “What will happen when they find out about the others…?” Shu didn’t have it all sussed out at all, there was so much that was still confusing to him and having that visit was probably the least helpful thing to happen right now. Letting out a sigh, he eventually nodded, giving a little smile to Takeshi, “What’s a politician? Maybe we should look for those people?”

While it probably would have been better and probably delicious eating the fruit, Viral just couldn’t put his mind towards trying to take a bite. All thoughts of eating was just getting to him and it was hard not to upset Yumi right now, especially when he had probably managed to do that several times already. Groaning a little, he looked to Yumi, giving a fair sharp look before he looked away again. He saw no reason to think about such a thing, he didn’t exactly know how he was supposed to enjoy living either so he wasn’t going to bother responding to that. Letting out a sigh he instead placed the fruit on top of Yumi’s head, moving slightly away from his spot on the chair, “It’s alright, I’d rather you didn’t waste effort trying to make something that I’ll probably not eat in the first place”, he spoke, giving his head a shake, “I’m used to not eating, anyway. They didn’t exactly feed me much in custody and I’m still here”.

Viral was feeling completely stuck now and all he could do was feel reminded over everything he had experienced over the last year and a bit, it was just circulating over and over again at this point. Even if he had told her, opening up was just causing him to remember it all over again and definitely not for the better. He didn’t know why people bothered opening up like that, it was definitely doing him more damage than good as he was now feeling just as bad as ever for opening up. He was just going to end up making Yumi upset and that was definitely something he wasn’t prepared for. Giving Yumi a quick look before he let out a groan, turning away, “You are trying, I get it, but you don’t have to make an effort. You wanted to go out and do some investigation work, you don’t need me to lower your mood some more”.
Shu just thought to keep quiet right now, the guy was obviously not going to care about what he had to say but was still going to acknowledge that he existed. He wanted to try and hear if there was anything he was missing that might label the man as the bad guy, he was the only guy they had direct contact with so he was the only one Shu could put under suspicion as bad. As Takeshi and the General continued to talk, it was becoming less obvious that it was the guy and could had easily been someone else who was higher up. He didn’t know what politicians were or what made a wealthy family, but maybe they were to blame for wanting this in the first place. Slowly scratching his head, he looked up at Takeshi and frowned a little, giving a little nod, “Is that what those blast noises were? It was awfully loud, at least to me…” He really didn’t know what to make of the General, he spoke of being here peacefully and yet he was asking them to kill other people who were actually very innocent. He didn’t like it very much, he didn’t see it as peaceful at all.

Viral had little he wanted to talk about and get into the open, but Yumi keeping him down until he talked was a little difficult to refuse. There was still way too much that concerned him, even the fact that Yumi didn’t seem to like his abilities at all and he could only worry what might happen if she ever saw his Enki. Vegeta probably wouldn’t like it either, it was just a massive war machine created using his spirit alone into something physical, even if its body and innards were mechanical in nature. It was just as artificial as he was, just as destructive as his other form. With Yumi releasing his grip on him he slowly removed his fingers from his face, looking down at her hands before he let out a sigh and looked away, looking fairly angry through a fairly neutral looking expression, “I refuse to die anywhere else other than the battlefield…if I can ever die. Those tests they ran on me sure does make me think otherwise, I could make the King jealous…”

There was Yumi denying that the form he took on was him, but what was even harsher was she kept calling him a ‘thing’. It made him a little angry, stinging him pretty harshly, but he wasn’t going to show it especially when she seemed quite adamant before with pretending it was like Shu. The difference between him and Shu was Shu’s transformation just seemed to be a small Oozaru, a transformation that was completely natural to Saiyans except his came randomly and was probably something that evolved through his strange lifestyle. With Viral, he had always had that form and only accessible when he was severely beaten and in a dire situation; the only problem he had was it manifested in the form of madness, his battle against the voices lost. Letting out a grumble as she went away again, he had half a mind to go outside and try to forget all of this before Yumi suddenly came back, this time with a strange looking fruit. Staring at it, he let out a sigh, not entirely sure to what to make of it, “And what do you suppose I do if I can’t get into meat again when it’s obviously what I should be eating in the first place?” he questioned her, taking the piece of fruit but holding it at a fair arm’s length, “I seriously don’t think I’m ready for such a thing…especially when it’s essentially fleshy on the inside…”
