Yay! I never understood why there was never a proper male Star Sapphire. Guys can feel love too ya know.

Also, aren't Black Lanterns basically zombies anyway? xD

Yeah, plus there is only one master Black Lantern ring, all other Black Lanterns are dependent on the original. All Lanterns can technically clone their rings in a similar way (obviously not having the effect of raising the dead), so long as they have the knowledge. They likely wouldn't know how, since I've only seen it demonstrated by Sinestro, who only became aware of it while heading the Sinestro Corps. He claimed it was one of the abilities of the power rings the Guardians kept secret from the Greens.

Come to think of it, I believe Mogo may have tried a similar feat while tainted by Parallax.
Man, I just realized I replied about perspective last night, rather than tense. Much derp.
Tabletop gaming in general is certainly not as difficult as the general public believes it to be. Can you roll a twenty sided die, look at the number and add (or subtract) numbers you wrote down earlier? Congrats, you have all the skills you need to start playing D&D. You'll learn everything else quickly as you go. Heck, I learned how to play Warhammer 40k in 5 minutes today, having stayed away from it thinking that tabletop war games were usually full of obscure and hard to remember rules. I think I looked at the book 3 times in 4 hours.
Generally, third person is best for use in collaborative stories and most GMs will assume you will be writing this way. It keeps people from forgetting halfway through a post who exactly they're reading about. First person can certainly work, especially if everyone is using it and there aren't so many people that you would get easily confused (1x1s are probably the best place to use the first person). A little bit of proofreading will probably alleviate most unintentional tense switches. On a semi-related note, I have seen people in the past who actually refuse to write in anything other than the first person (and wouldn't take no for an answer). They always struck me as the type that wanted the RP to revolve around themselves. That was just my perception though, it wasn't necessarily the case.
Would it be possible to play an X-Force agent, freshly trained and not having seen any action? Thinking of making a promising young agent Who quickly finds he doesn't have the stomach for slaughtering people who haven't actually wronged anyone.
