What Lies Below

Vidic watched as the rest of the group signed the contract, some even voiced arguments about the contract and their very journey but in the end still signed the contract. He listened to the dwarf as he explained what powered that the black dragon had and Vidic raised an eyebrow at these powers. How were they supposed to take on a creature that was able to corrupt anyone that came to face him with a mere ten people when a whole city of dwarves could not bring him down. Than a younger looking dwarf came into the tavern and was introduced as Guringar's son and the leader of the expedition which was fine with the rune mage since he wasn't much of a leader as long as the person he was following was a competent person who knew what he was doing. "I am off to bed now. I will see you all tomorrow bright and early." Vidic said as he stood up from the table and grabbed seven silver out of the pouch.

On his way toward the stairs a board with a few papers nailed to it which caught his attention as they were all wanted posters and he saw his name in bold letters on one of them. This always caught his attention because he liked to see how much the Empire was offering for his capture every time he killed a group of their assassins and it looked like it was higher this time than the last time he was in a village.

He read over the poster and smiled to himself at the reward they were offering, if they were offering 100 gold for his capture than he might just turn himself in for the gold. He wished he could take down the poster or at the very least alter it so that his picture was posted in front of all the people he was about to set out on a journey with, granted the drawing that they had put up of his wasn't the best drawing but it was close enough to put two and two together. He decided the he would cross that bridge when he got there and decided that he wasn't tired just yet and could use a drink with some of his new found money. He went to a table near the stairs and orders a mug of ale while he waited for the rest of the group to disperse.

I'm just running this by everyone. Since Vidic is on the run how do you feel about a wanted poster of him being up in the tavern where they all are but since he has his face covered they can't tell that it is him yet. During the journey to the Spire he would remove his hood and someone would recognize. If it is alright with everyone than I can put the poster in on my next post.

Vidic listened to the dwarf's speech in silence and crossed his arms at the mention of a dragon. He had never seen a dragon before but had heard that they were the most ferocious creatures in the whole land and that they were not a beast to be messed with. "What means do any of us carry to even deal with a dragon? I don't think anyone here has even seen a dragon before." He said out loud as he thought over his options where were not many, he could either go on this fool's journey into the spire and come out with enough gold to destroy the Arcazia Empire which were his intentions or return to a life of constantly being on the run from government assassins.

"If anything, we might even find away to kill the dragon while on our travels into the Spire. I have nowhere else I can run to, so I need this gold." Vidic said as he looked at the dwarf with his red eyes while fishing in his jacket for his purse of just a few copper before picking up the pen and dipping it in ink. I Vidic Meyvant sign my name unto this document in a sane state of mind that I agree to all conditions as they are in this document. He tried to write it as best he could which was just slightly more elegant than the armored female's signature. He than turned at the one armed female that was making some complaints. "Some of us may actually need this gold and are willing to take many risks to get it. If you don't need this quest than you can leave right now." He told her and pointed to the door with a gloved hand.

I am trying to decide when to have Elora put her magic to use. Maybe they can get lost and she can find the way using a nearby stream, or become a scout? I have planned to have her grow considerably as a character, so hopefully that will come to play.

Yea, I don't want to reveal magic to early and I have plans for Vidic to open up as a character and become more friendly as the rp continues. But for now we are all stuck with dark moody Vidic.
