Time's are Changing - Steampunk NRP set in the 1800s

Name: Commonwealth of Australia

Territories: Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu

Government: Constitutional Government formerly Constitutional Monarchy

Important Characters: Prime Minister Johnathon Lockly, Sir James William Minister of Foreign Affairs, Presley Cooks Minister of Defense

Economy: The Commonwealth's economy is built on plantations built across Australia during the times of the British occupation and are now owned by private interest paying the Commonwealth taxes for the land. Another form of income for the government is the export of Blue Coal from the mineral veins that were found in the Australian outback when expeditions were sent to explore the land. There are also several natural resources on New Zealand and Papua New Guinea that are exported to bring in extra income to the growing government. The Commonwealth of Australia is just starting to build new and improved factories on the main land to make use of new Blue Coal mines to help in the production of airships and other resourced needed for a flourishing nation.

Military: The Commonwealth military is not the greatest at the moment as it is still trying to establish itself after being freed from British rule, but what they lack in sheer number they make up for in ingenuity. They have an almost non-existent standing army with only ten thousand footmen making up the bulk of the army, but even though the land army is small they do boast a large Air Fleet and Naval force. This force has some of the most advanced technology with the direct source of Blue Coal being able to allow researchers to find new ways to use it. Many of the smaller pacific islands scattered around the Oceanic region house Hangers for planes and Air ships as well as Naval bases that can house a few ships to even fleets.

History: The Commonwealth of Australia is one of the new nations to join into the fight to become the superpower of the world. In it's last few decades as a colony of the English, there was growing discontent between the native people and the arriving colonists who were a mix of people looking for a fresh start and the convicts that were exiled to the large continent. There were a few leaders that directed this frustration back at the British government leading to an underground group to form whose purpose was to drive the British out of Australia and the entire Oceanic region. With the rise of Blue coal mines being dug across the Australian outback, the underground faction reached out to the United States of America for support in their effort to fight against the British.

In 1852, the British finally pulled out of Australia as the colony declared independence followed closely behind by New Zealand which soon joined with New Guinea to fall under the umbrella of the Commonwealth of Australia. With their own independence secured, the government slowly grew into an established Constitutional government over the next 14 years with money coming in from the States as they supplied them with Blue Coal and other goods. Over these fourteen years the Solomon islands and Vanuatu were added to the Australia as they continued the ambition of bringing the majority of the Pacific islands under their umbrella.

The Heart of a Shinobi (A Naruto RP) [Arc 1: Beginning! Mission Start!] {Closed}

A groan could be heard from the pile of blankets that made up the puppet users bed as he rolled over to look at the clock next to his bed and quickly shot up when he noticed what time it was. Shin was not known to be a morning person, but the fact that he had been up most of the night putting the finishing touches on his puppet did not help the fact in the least. He looked over at his puppet that rested in the corner of his room completely wrapped in bandages as to keep what lay beneath a secret from any prying eyes that would question if he was carrying an actual body or corpse. The young ninja quickly got out of bed and threw on his black pants and sleeveless shirt on before wrapping his ankles and waist in bandages to keep everything from getting to baggy and finally putting on his black-rope belt before. As he left his room, he threw his puppet onto his back with it being held by two straps which made it rest like a backpack on his back. When he got downstairs his mother had prepared breakfast for him, but as he had slept in she had seemed to already leave for her job and had just left the food ready for him on the table. Shin quickly threw some food into his mouth before putting on a mask that covered up his nose and mouth and his Konoha forehead protector across his face before leaving the house. As he walked down the street he received strange looks from anyone that he passed in the streets as he was sure not many people walked around with large bandaged packages on their back. He ignored the comments they made of him and imagined that he was his father in his younger years before he was imprisoned. When he reached the Academy he quietly slipped into the classroom where the rest of the students were waiting and picked a seat in the back of the room where he could sit quietly and relax before the teams were announced.

Generic Information Name: Shin Tanaka Age: 12 Birthplace: Sunagakure Clan:N/A Weight/Height: 89/ 4'10" Squad: TBD Combat Information Kekkei Genkai: N/A Chakra Nature: Raiton Techniques: Chakra Threads Puppet Techniques: Shin is able to control the movements of his puppets with no delay between his commands and the actions of the puppet through the chakra threads. Even though his puppet has ten weapons within its frame, Shin can only draw out half of the weapons and is unable to detach any of the body parts. He is able to use two weapons at a time in several different combinations to provide support for his team. Weapons/Tools: The only tool used by Shin is a puppet that resembles the Karasu puppet that was created by the great puppet master Sasori. All weapons within his puppet are dipped in the Tanaka special poison and he carries an antidote with him at all times. Karasu Weaknesses: Shin is not skilled at close hand to hand combat and is actually extremely weak in and physical combat. Strengths: Has excellent chakra control and concentration during battle. Personal Information Personality: Shin is the quiet type who does not make many friends considering his background. He does not trust a lot of people and prefers to be by himself instead of meeting new people which makes the prospect of having to join a team not that appealing since he would have to interact with others on a regular basis, but he does secretly wish that during this time on a team he would be able to make some lasting friends for once. He isn't always opposed to meeting new people and can be friendly at times with other people meaning he is always open to talking with others. Backstory: Shin Tanaka was born in Sunagakure to a family skilled in the mastery of the puppet techniques. His parents were both shinobi for the Hidden Sand Village and were gone most of the time on missions but whenever they were home they spend their time with their son helping to create new puppets that would be used on the next mission. This peaceful life went on for the first eight years of his life before Shin's father was taken into custody for experimentation with human puppets forcing the rest of his family out of Sunagakure out of shame for what had been done and that was how they ended up in Konoha. When they finally moved to Konoha Shin never felt like he fit in with the other kids his age which was the start of him becoming quiet and just working on puppets in his spare time. Shin's mother eventually convinced him to join the academy with the other kids his age so that when he grew up he would be able to redeem their family. Allies: His team people from his class. Enemies: Anyone that mistreats him for his past and hurts his teammates.
