Meh, Jacque is only serious when the situation calls for it, or he's properly pissed. That "I am the sea" thing wasn't just for showing off. Jacque's age gives him a lot of experience, couple that with a highly versatile element like water and it makes him quite a threat. He may not actually be capable of controlling an entire OCEAN mind you, but he can still pull some pretty impressive feats.

FFFFFF- were it not for Spartan's stronkasfuk armor I would've been so tempted to have Jacque kick him in the nuts! Why do you deprive me of humorous combat Nac!? WHYYYYYY!? Ah well, at least I got to show off a tiny portion of Jacque's true power, even if it was for a moment.
Jacque glared down at the hand wrapped around his throat, his eyes then flashed a bright shade of blue. All of the water that remained sprang up and engulfed Jacque, "You wish to know who I am?" he inquired as his body dissolved into the water leaving nothing but the glowing eyes, "I am the swallower of man, beast, and vessel alike. I am the sea." a distorted voice from within the water claimed before a torrent, one that was stronger than what Jacque had used prior, violently pushed Spartan back and pinned him to the ground. The water undulated slowly as Jacque resumed solid form and dispelled the water around him and Spartan once more before rubbing his sore neck, "You really aren't the sporting type are you? Hmph. Kids today, not a single honorable bone in their bodies.". Jacque could tell he'd likely get nowhere with the conversation if he didn't answer the questions asked, so for the time being he conceded, "The name is Jacque Baila. And as for my business here, I came to test the worth of your team. Now then, how about answering MY questions? I'm getting tired.". Tired was an understatement, truth be told, Jacque was exhausted, full integration with water was a difficult task to even an advanced hydromancer, and with Jacque having been tired prior to engaging in combat, the strain placed on his body was immense.
Jacque took note of Spartan putting away his blades and raised his brow once more, "So hand to hand? Sure what the hell." he said before re-sheathing manō and dropping the small orb he'd kept back. Jacque upped the ante further by dispelling his water armor before he popped his knuckles, then gave Spartan a look that read 'be sporting'. "So, before we start round three, I have two questions to ask. One: how many of you are there? By you I mean your group. I never got a good enough lock to count. And two: Are there people more powerful than you on your team?", as he asked this, Jacque got into a stance typical of a practitioner of pradal serey.
blargh...curse my inability to read music. Though at least the muscle memory thing is good practice for if I ever need to build multiple things. Or if I ever bother to learn how to drive a stick shift. Also, i'm sorry Nac, but I HAD to have Jacque do what he just did. The opportunity was too perfect to pass up.
Jacque raised an eye brow as the being charged him in anger, then did something no one would expect, something that would likely be something he'd find hilarious for years to come; Jacque side stepped Spartan, granted he used his water armor to carry him about a yard out of the way, but a side step was a side step never the less. Jacque waved at Spartan as the man barreled past him and towards Rachel and the new comer, "Newton's law is a mother fucker eh?" he called out after Spartan. Something that big going that fast would find it hard to turn on a dime, Jacque knew this much, he was curious however to see how the man and his comrade would react.
Yes I do indeed play piano. Can't really read music sheets for crap though which is odd. I usually watch someone play a few times, then practice what I see, starting with one part of the song, then figuring out another once the previous part has become converted into muscle memory. Its a bit of a longer process than learning the sheets, but hey, it works.
