Banzai!
There were certain things that Kyle enjoyed doing before all hell broke loose. One of them was just sitting on the couch flipping around the dial on the TV until he saw something he liked. The movie "The Shawshank Redemption" was one of his all time favorites and no matter what point it was during the movie Kyle would stop and watch it. One of the lines that always stuck with Kyle was "In prison a man will do almost anything to keep his mind occupied." Although he wasn't locked in prison, however he did spend the last night in jail so there was that touch of irony, Kyle might as well be in prison. Forced to wear a gas mask that made him feel like he was in lock-up, not sure who he could trust, little or no contact with other people and there was that one group everyone wanted to avoid, everyone doing everything they can just to make it though another day, and the feeling of everything that you loved in life had been taken from you. It was so ironic that Kyle could go anywhere and do anything, and yet he felt like he was in prison.

Kyle continued his trek towards the bridge as he came across a shop with a busted window and several DVDs just strewn about. The titles that Kyle saw laying there were some of his all time favorite movies "Casablanca," "Animal House," "Airplane," "Jaws," and of course "The Shawshank Redemption." Kyle almost gave serious consideration to picking them up or even going into the store to look around. However several things stopped him. Who knew what was in there possibly? Where would he keep the movies? His backpack only had so much. Not to mention how would he play them? The reality of life sucked, but for a brief moment Kyle liked being able to look at those movies and feel like he had some choices in his life again. Much like Andy and the crew working on the roof when they had their beers Kyle felt free for just a moment.

Kyle turned and walked away heading towards the bridge. He began to do one of his past times to keep his mind busy. Kyle was a huge Bruce Springsteen fan and to keep his mind occupied he would create what he would call the ultimate concert. Kyle would pick a tour that Bruce was on, compose the set list from start to finish, imagine what he would be wearing that night, who he would be with would depend upon where he was living during that tour, and of course he would always be in the front row.

This time it would be "The Rising" 2002, in DC at the Verizon Center, open with Badlands followed by...

Kyle's train of thought was broken by the shape of something or someone moving away from him on the bridge. At first he was hesitant to go on, but at this point curiosity got the better of him.

Kyle began to move towards the shape he saw on the bridge.
I have found Simone to be brash, arrogant, and not a team player at all. I LOVE HER! Very well done Rockette!

Oh and I hope you enjoy your birthday.
-Name- B-L Sullivan./ "Sully"

-Age- 35

-Job- Weapons/Muscle

-Appearance-

-Personality- Inspite of his occupation and his formidable presence B-L is actually a fairly laid-back guy. He doesn't believe in shooting first and asking questions later B-L prefers to think and learn about a situation as much as he can before he has to take action, so he can form the best possible plan for him and his crew. B-L is the first one to wade into a bad situation because B-L isn't concerned with his own safety but the needs of his crew are above all else to him.

B-L knows he looks very intimidating and he relies on that intimidation to get either information that he needs, or to get someone to back down from a fight. If that doesn't work though B-L isn't afraid to use whatever means necessary to get the job done. B-L doesn't have some sort of love of violence or has some sort of blood-lust, but when he acts he tells himself that it's for the sake of others always.

B-L doesn't talk a whole lot mainly because he is trying to get "reads" and "tells' on people, but he doesn't have a scowl on his face. He generally has a crooked smile and if he talks it's not mono-syllabic or nods and grunts. B-L says what's on his mind and every now and then cuts loose with a wise-crack, but it's never personal or at the expense of ruining a moment.

-Specialties- B-L has mastered many kinds of firearms, explosives, and bladed weapons. He is a brilliant strategist and observant of the details around him and more than formidable when it comes to hand to hand combat.

-Shortcomings- At times B-L can be too bogged down by details. His sense of loyalty to those he serves with can sometimes blind B-L to a situation where he could take unnecessary risks with his life. Although he doesn't show it too often at his core B-L is very much a cynic and always expects to see a worse case scenario.

-History- Buddy Lee Sullivan was born in the Handot system on the outer moon of the Dalvaran system to Dr. Edwin and Sara Sullivan two archaeologists, and Buddy Lee was the third of four children. His older brother Richard is a star athlete and made his legend by being the star Dabo (combination Hockey & Basketball) player in college and eventually the number pick in the draft and enjoyed a long career and eventually became a coach. His older sister Diane is a brilliant actress and writer while his youngest sister has found fortune and fame as a chemist. Which left B-L struggling to not only find his place in the Universe, but with his own family.

B-L tried many different things and the only thing he accelerated at was getting in trouble with one of the local gangs. His parents tired everything and at the age of 13 it seemed as though B-L was on his way to a stint on a rehab colony and after that a life of crime. Until one person in his family took an interest in him. His grammy Celia invited him to stay with her for the summer. B-L at first was "somewhat resistant" to the idea of staying with her, but seeing as he was before the judge for the 3rd time in 2 years and was given the choice of either a summer with her or 4 years in a rehab colony. B-L went to stay with his reclusive grandmother on Baylonto 6 at her private retreat the summer before his freshman year in high school.

B-L figured he would stay and humor the old lady, but his first morning there B-L had a literal rude awakening. Celia woke him up at 0500 for a workout session, but B-L wasn't up for it. However after having a cold water dumped on him B-L suddenly woke up and was ready to go in 15 minutes. Celia took him down to her basement which was a workout center. She had B-L put on some sparring gear and Celia put some on. Celia told him to throw a punch at her, and B-L thought she was nuts. When he finally threw one halfheartedly Celia slipped the punch and through two sidekicks into his ribs and knocked him down with a right hook. Celia told him to stop screwing around and get serious, B-L threw one this time with force and power Celia ducked it and delivered an left upper cut that lifted B-L up. Celia told him that he threw punches like a drunk monkey and was amazed that he won any fights ever. She told him that summer he would learn how to throw a punch with purpose, how to use a weapon with focus, how to out think his enemy, and what it meant to value someone or something beyond himself.

That summer B-L learned how to be disciplined and focused. 0530 and sparring and workouts until 0630, 0700 Breakfast. 0800 weapons training, 10:30 a break, 1100 studies focused on wars and warriors, 12:30 lunch and discussion of the lessons, 13:30 work on fixing up her retreat, 16:00 prep for dinner, 17:00 dinner. 18:00 break down of the day which sometimes included a story or two. 19:00 Bed and then another day began the same way. It took a couple of days but B-L not only got used to the schedule but he grew to appreciate it. At the end of the summer B-L was a changed young man and he asked his Grandmother why she did this. She told him that one day she'd tell him.

B-L began to mature and saw that the military was a calling he would want to pursue, so he began to dedicate himself to this goal of being in the military. At the end of his freshman and sophomore years he went back to see Celia who would step up his training each year. Then came the end of his junior year and upon his arrival B-L was finally told why she did all this. Celia opened a trunk and took out a black Kevlar suit and B-L a trunk full of weapons. The weapons were somewhat dated but they would do the job if called upon and in mint condition. It turned out dear old Celia used to be in a special ops unit before she married B-L's grandfather. She then took out a jacket that was exactly like his old gang jacket. Celia was also a gang member who was taken in by someone who taught her everything that she taught B-L. She promised this person on his death bed that if she ever had the chance she'd repay that person by teaching someone else. B-L was that repayment. Celia told B-L all this now because she was dying and that now it was his turn to take over his training she was no longer able to, and the weapons were to be giving to him when he retired from the military.

B-L graduated college and joined the Outer Rim Army. He was in the infantry and B-L saw a lot of action and eventually worked his way up to Gunnery Sargent. Once he was done with 12 years B-L figured he had enough and decided it was time to have a life outside of the military. The only job he was able to get was as a bouncer on a pleasure freighter and he lost that job when he tried to shoot the Captain. Granted the Captain was trying to rape one of the cocktail waitresses, but the freighter company wasn't about to get rid of one of their captains. B-L bounced from job to job each one though had two common factors; doing the right thing and seeking justice.

B-L was about to sell his weapons to support two of his favorite habits; eating and drinking. Until he came across the Orion and it was there as a bounty hunter B-L finally felt like he found his home
I got no problem waiting...I've been with this group long enough to know it ain't going slow because people are lazy...somethings are just out of people's control...I'm ready to go but I wanna let everyone get in their initial posts before I post another.
Okay the weapons role sounds interesting. Count me in.

Some tea and rest does wonders...Russell Nash has arrived.

║Full Name║ Nicholas Templeton

║Aliases║ Nick, Shield Alias: Knock-Out

║Mentor(s)║ Thor

║Birthday & Age║ 1-25-90 (24)

║Ethnicity║ Caucasian

║Species║ Human

║Gender║ Male

║Sexual Orientation║ Heterosexual

║Hometown║ Warner Robbins, Ga.

║Physical Description║ Nick is not exactly a physically, but don't let it fool you. Standing at 5'11" and weighing in at a solid 210 all of it muscle. For years Nick did everything he could to hide in plain sight so he doesn’t have any outstanding characteristics with the exception of an earring in his left ear. Although he does bear some minor physical scars on his upper torso from being shot, beaten or stabbed living in one of the rougher sections of the Bronx over the last couple of years.

For Nick the key is blending in and drawing attention to himself, and that includes his choice of wardrobe. He is very comfortable in wearing just a pair of jeans with a basic black t-shirt and a pair of tennis shows usually accompanied by a baseball hat and sunglasses trying to maintain a low profile. Although given his size trying to maintain a low profile for Nick at times is difficult, but he does what he can not to draw attention to himself.

║Likes║ Nick has an appreciation for the following: Working out, helping others, reading, the films of Liam Nesson and Russell Crowe, the music of Bruce Springsteen, cooking, and football.

║Dislikes║ Nick tries to maintain a low profile, but there are certain times when he decides it’s time to let his feelings be known. Injustice in any form, self-righteousness and hypocrisy, corporations that don’t give back, and talking about his past.

║Personality║ Nick when you get right down to it is a southerner. He is polite, says “Ma’am” and “Sir”, always looking to what is right for the greater good, and believes that one you give your word you keep it. Nick is very loyal to his friends. He believes in them and is never afraid to stand alongside of them under any circumstance.

Don’t let the southern accent and southern upbringing fool you though Nick is no fool. Through his share of ups and downs he has seen how the world works and it’s pretty difficult to pull the wool over his eyes. If there are tough choices to be made Nick is not afraid to take the lead and make a stand. Nick firmly believes that there is always a way to win. It may not be orthodox or go by the book, but Nick has a hard time of ever admitting that he has been beaten.

→Traits←

║Powers, Skills, & Talents║ Nick is skilled in hand to hand combat. He is a street brawler and knows how to use his fists and would prefer to use them first as opposed to being in a fire fight. Nick is proficient in the use of fire arms, but they are clearly not his first choice.

Chief among Nick’s powers is his incredible strength. It is pure unbridled strength. He has been known to arm wrestle Captain America to draw and bench press a hummer without breaking a sweat.

Another of Nick’s powers is what best can be called “Rhino Skin”. In that his skin his invulnerable to bullets. most small arm weapons, and many explosive devices.
Nick is a tremendous student of military history which makes him a brilliant strategist, and he uses that knowledge in any situation he can. Nick is not afraid to cite an example from the Civil War to help make his point.

One thing Nick loves doing is riding a motorcycle and he is a world class talent when it comes to riding one.

║Weaknesses, Disabilities, & General Flaws║ For all of his great strength Nick is not immortal! He can be killed like any other mortal. For example acid, magic, electrocuted, gases things of that nature.

Nick also has the flaw of he will eventually get tired. If he fought at full power for any extended length of time his powers would eventually fade.

║Equipment║
※Weapons – As much as he hates just using a gun Nick does own two 45 auto mags, but only uses them when called upon during a mission. He would prefer to use his strength, because Nick feels that these powers are gift and he wants to use them.

Nick is also the proud owner (courtesy of SHIELD) of a one of a kind Harley that has enough gadgets on it to make James Bond envious. Again though Nick hates relying on the gadgets but will use them if he has to.

He does have one item from his past. A pocket watch with a picture of his parents and his younger sister Amanda.

║History║(Okay I’m gonna take a “unique” approach to Nick’s history).

Journal Entry 001: Nick Templeton

Col. Fury says in order to understand where we’re going we have to understand where we’ve been, so with that in mind I’m writing out my journey so far.

I was born in Warner Robbins, GA. My daddy worked at the Air Force base in the hospital as an orderly, and mama raised me and my sister Amanda while she worked part time at the mess hall on the base. When I was 7 years old my daddy was killed in a car accident and mama had a time trying to raise us and keep a roof over our heads.

When I was getting ready to graduate High School I still had no clue what I wanted to do with my life, so I figured I’d join the Air Force. It’s an honest way to make a living, and I could send some of my pay home to help my family. Then I heard Amanda wanted to be a doctor, and she was always good in science and anatomy. Unfortunately we made too much money to get any good financial aid for her and not enough to pay for everything on our own.

As it came time for me to join the Air Force I promised Amanda I’d find a way to pay for her to go to med school. Well between helping mama, and paying my own bills sending Amanda money was real hard. Until I overheard a couple of fellas talking about an afterhours fighting club where a guy could make lots of money fast. I was good with my fists so I figured why not and gave it a shot. I made more money in one fight than I did in 3 months, so I kept at it and started earning lots of money.

Then one night changed everything. I was out jogging when I saw something crash near the base. I went over to check it out and it was a meteorite that was glowing all these different colors. As I got closer it made me feel strange I can’t really describe it, but I began to feel more powerful than The Hulk but I didn’t turn green or anything. After a few moments I was able to get away from it. I had a fight that night and felt all-right so I went to it. The fight began and with one punch I crushed a man’s face in. There was nothing left of it. I grabbed my money and bolted from the base. As I bolted the guards shot at me. The bullets hit me, but they felt like bug bites and they didn’t leave hardly any marks at all. Yeah what I did was desertion but I thought there was no other way out.

I made my way up the East Coast laying low. I did various odd jobs and if I saw someone in trouble I helped out, but I did everything I could to keep out of sight. All the time I kept wondering about mama and Amanda but I knew if I tried to call them the Government would find me and if they found out about my powers I’d be dissected in a heartbeat.

After a couple of years I made it to New York City. The perfect place to hide in plain sight. I volunteered at the local shelter in exchange for a place to lay my head while working construction jobs during the day. Everything was going pretty good for me I was making a difference, and I would keep saving my money with the hopes of one day helping my sister get to college and med school.

One night as I was taking out the trash, and I saw a guy starting to beat on a woman. I went over to stop him the next thing I know I got sprayed with some kind of knock-out gas. When I woke up I was in this special prison cell. I tried to punch my way out but I couldn’t and a guy with an eye patch approached and said, “This thing is designed to hold The Hulk. You’re not getting out anytime soon Templeton.” He introduced himself as Col. Nick Fury and complemented me about my first name. It turns out he had been following me for years and was watching to see how I would use my powers. He said that I had a good heart and wanted to make a difference for others, and he apologized for tricking me the way they did in getting me caught, but the military was closing in on me . Col. Fury said he thought I had what it took to be an Avenger. I just needed the right guidance.

I told him I wasn’t sure, but he said he was gonna make me an offer I couldn’t refuse. First they knew about my sister and she won a scholarship. Not only was she gonna go to college, but the scholarship would pay for her Med-School. She was the first ever recipient of the Tony Stark “Making a difference for Tomorrow Scholarship.” Secondly Col. Fury held up a piece of paper and said, “This is your arrest report.” He held it over a shredder and pulled out another piece of paper and said, “This is a Presidential Pardon. If you agree to join us the warrant goes into the shredder. If you chose not to the Pardon goes in the shredder. What are you prepared to do?”

I’m surprised I took more than three seconds to make my decision.

Col. Fury said that I had great power and potential to be a leader I just needed some guidance. Who would’ve thought that a guy from Warner Robbins, Ga. would be working with Thor, the Thunder God? He’s kinda hard to understand, but he smiles and laughs a lot and makes me feel like a valued member of the team. Thor says, “I see great things in you Nicholas (he always calls me that). Now you need to see them. Never be afraid of your power! Embrace it! Your powers can make a difference, but always remember your greatest strength is here.” (and he points to my chest).

I’ve learned so much and I still got a lot more. Yep the guy from Warner Robbins has done good.
Russell Nash parked his replica Mustang hover car in a nearby spot just across the street from the Erasure Agency. A building with no distinct outside markings or anything that made it look remotely welcoming. Russell still had "the wet look" from his quick rinse off after his morning workout and his face was still a shade of light red as he looked at his place of employment. He had received a message while he was in the shower that he was to report Meeting Room B on the second floor and that was all. Usually there was a little more information to work with, so Russell's curiosity was somewhat piqued by this.

He asked, to no one in particular, "Why do I have the feeling that this is gonna be one of those days?" Russell shook his head and rolled his right shoulder back and forth and he winced somewhat in pain.

Russell pushed a button on his dashboard and said, "Sivers."

Sivers replied, "Yes Sir."

Russell said, "Next workout decrease the resistance on the barbells by about 5 %."

Sivers asked, "Aggravated your shoulder injury again sir?"

Russell nodded and replied, "Yeah I think so."

Sivers said, "Sir I have just received a voice message from Miss Andrews. She channeled it directly to your inbox, so as to not to bother since she knew that you would be driving to work at the time."

Russell shook his head and said, "Translation she didn't want to talk to me. Let me guess the message is basically 'it's not you it's me, I need to find out who I am, we need time apart, maybe someday if God wills it we will find one another, I'm a great guy there is someone out there for me, and I can feel free to see other people' is that about the gist of it Sivers?"

Sivers replied, "You are 94% accurate with your assessment sir. Impressive percentage sir. The bottom line, as you call it, you are no longer a couple. Would you care to hear the actual message sir? Miss Andrews does sound sincere."

Russell said, "I'm sure she is old friend. I'm sure she is. I know that she took no pleasure in what she did." Russell thought for a moment and then said, "Delete the message and all photos of us."

Sivers asked, "Including the one from Maine 6 weeks ago?"

Russell had been in his share of fights and suffered broken bones, but that question cut him like a knife. The week in Maine was just Erica and him at a house on the shore. It was one of the best times Russell ever had in his life. They did sightseeing, enjoyed the beach, watching the sunset, and spent endless nights being in love. One morning Erica woke up before him and was watching the sunrise. She was wearing a sapphire blue silk robe, leaning against the rail of the deck of the beach house, and the ocean breeze was moving ever so gently through her brown hair. Russell grabbed a camera and called to Erica. She turned her head and part of her upper torso ever so slowly and just gave him a look. A look from those beautiful brown eyes that was both intoxicating and as though Erica was inviting Russell to look into her soul in that one look, and a smile that Russell would've gone to war to defend. Russell thought he had seen the most beautiful creation that God ever made and it was standing right before him, so much so he almost forgot to take the picture.

Russell said, "Bring it up on my monitor."

Sivers replied, "Sir I don't...."

Russell said, "Do it Sivers that's an order."

Sivers brought the image up on the monitor and Russell stared at it and felt for one brief moment the power of her eye contact coursing through his entire being right into his soul. He reached to touch it, but stopped and bowed his head.

Russell said bringing his hand back, "Sivers."

Sivers replied, "Sir?"

Russell said, "Del...no. Keep it. It'll remind me that for one moment in time I had it better than any human being had a right to ask for."

Sivers asked, "Sir do you wish for me to inform your superiors you are in no frame of mind to work?"

Russell shook his head and replied, "No absolutely not." He waved his right palm in front of his face three times as though he were wiping something away. Russell said, "I gotta job to do, and it's time get to it."

Sivers said, "Sir I don't think wearing these are a crime right now." Just then a compartment opened up and revealed a pair of sunglasses. Russell smiled and said, "Thanks old friend."

Sivers replied, "You're welcome sir."

Russell put on the dark glasses and undid his seat belt. He said, "Sivers. You've been wanting to link into the National Archives database for some research. Why don't you go offline until about 6 tonight and have at it."

Sivers replied, "Sir what about your lunch?"

Russell said, "I'll get takeout today have a good time."

Sivers replied, "Thank you sir." The screen went black and Russell took a deep breath and said, "Okay Nash. Time to get to it." With that he exited his car and made sure his black leather duster was just so. He did smirk at the way his red turtleneck looked with his duster as his black boots echoed on his way to the Agency. He entered the conference room and still didn't remove his glasses. Russell didn't recognize the gathering in the room but that didn't bother him. He fixed himself a glass of water sat at the table, propped his feet up and began to have his drink.
I am recovering from a cold...I might have a post up hopefully sometime today...no promises though
