Bender, being unable to spout out how great he was, had been busy fixing his voice controls. Now, he finally had. Whatever tool that the ship driver had used was advanced! Upon hearing that the TARDIS was referred to as female, Bender leaned on one of the control panels and whispered to the machine. "Hey, baby. I'm Bender. What's your name?" He was rather blunt in how he approached the machine.

Flexo sighed at Bender's actions. Despite the fact that the 'bot was practically his brother, there were still moments when he questioned even wanting to know the bending unit.

As Bender fumbled around the room trying to get his voice back, Flexo couldn't help but laugh hysterically. It's not that he found the plight of others amusing, it was that the loud mouth Bender finally met someone who could shut him up. Then he heard the doctor talking to a girl being allergic to Chromium. Well that would be a problem. He purposefully set some distance between her and himself.
Bender was a flurry of rude gestures and empty words. With his speech disabled, he could only glare maliciously at the Doctor. Who did he think he was? He couldn't silence Bender, no one could! Whilst flailing about in anger, he accidentally knocked into the girl with the chromium allergy. Whether he did it on purpose or not was incapable of being determined.
