Meh, most people think that it does. I just wish we could cheaply contain fusion reactions and have virtually unlimited energy. Of course, it'll melt all the equipment, and laser/electromagnetic containers are very expensive. (Fun fact: you can touch raw plutonium with little adverse effect)
I know. You can touch anything radioactive (as long as it's just the radioactivity we're worrying about) and be fine. It's being around them for too long. I wonder how long it takes to die from Polonium exposure...

Of course. It's kinda common sense, if you think about it. But now you've got me thinking about how long nuclear fission waste takes to kill you. Anywhere between 100 minutes and 117 minutes, if you have no protection around Uranium-238, if I'm not mistaken.
