Well, he's my most "down to Earth, cut the crap" character. It screws up events at times, but it's fun overall.
Cutting crap is just something I tend to avoid in any characters. I don't like crap-cutting, personally. In stories at least.

Something I've noticed, though. David appears to be the most liked character (that isn't one of their own) by everyone. I can't really tell if it's by IRL us or if it's just that the majority of us like him.
