Halo: The Great Journey

Before the Ark was found, before the fall of Reach, before the covenant declared war on man, that's when this Journey began...

many Thousands of years after the age of Age of Abandonment, The First Age of Conflict began. After leaving their homeworld, the San 'Shyuum (Prophets) had encountered the Sangheili (Elites) , both races that had experience with Forerunner technology. The San 'Shyuum believed that incorporating Forerunner technology was allowed by their religion. But to the Sangheili, such a thing would have been unthinkable heresy. but as the San 'Shyuum pushed they're beliefs upon the Sangheili, the two space fairing races broke into war.

in the beginning the Sangheili had the advantage, with each warrior far greater in strength and skill to several San 'Shyuum in battle. However, the San 'Shyuum's technological superiority, and possession of a Forerunner Dreadnought, meant that they had the advantage in space battles.

Eventually, in order to ensure the survival of their race, the Sangheili were forced to amend their position of the treatment of Forerunner technologies and began studying their relics and incorporating elements into their warships, weapons and armor designs. When the San 'Shyuum realized that if there were other races with martial capabilities like the Sangheili, they would be in serious danger.

In time, the Sangheili learned of the San 'Shyuum's belief in the Great Journey, where the Forerunners used the Halo Array to ascend to a god-like state, and wished to repeat this process on themselves. eventually the two races signed a treaty known as the Writ of Union to form the early Covenant, which defined the two races positions: the San 'Shyuum would act as the head religious leaders, studying the Forerunners' technology and seek out the Halos, while the Sangheili would serve as their protectors, using weapons and technology developed by the San 'Shyuum. The Dreadnought was decommissioned and made the center point and power source of High Charity, a mobile planetoid which would serve as the capital of the Covenant. and thus began the Great Journey, soon other races joined this Journey in the Age of Conversion where the Jiralhanae (Brutes) , Huragok (Engineers) , Mgalekgolo (Hunters) , Yanme'e (Drones) , Kig-Yar (Jackals/ Skirmishers) , and Unggoy (Grunts) would join the Covenant on the quest for god-hood.

this Journey will start for us on bored the Covenant Assault Carrier, it's just over half the size of a super carrier, it is known as:

Da-Rules:

1.No God-Modding, Power-playing, (or Auto-hitting, this mostly applies if your fighting another player), I don't wanna see a grunt charging into battle by itself, guns blazing and returning with a bag of heads as trophies, although it would be awesome, I'd like the rp to stay realistic =3

2.No heated arguments inside of the OOC, if there is a problem speak to me or the CO-GM

3.NO ONE is allowed to dual-wield energy swords unless I allow it

4.Please post at least one paragraph in your posts, this is five sentences or more, three at the least

5.Do not advertise other RPs here

6.Do not kill other player’s characters without their permission first. (although I doubt we would because we're suppose to be on the same team =3 )

7.What the GM and Co-GM says goes, our words are law (if you disobey you will be put on trial for heresy >=3 )

8.I hold the right to change the rules however I please when needed

History: Rava was the leader of a special ops team, they accomplished many missions together, but on one seemingly easy mission to end the spreading lies of heresy, everything went to hell, Rava barely made it out alive, and his team was lost, they were tasked with rooting out a heretic base, but failed, to make matters worse, Rava returned to the high council to beg forgiveness, but his begging would do him no good, his failure to exterminate the heretics let alone let his team die was seen as an act of heresy, and so, the high council demanded punishment, so they gave him the rank, of Arbiter.

it's not that I dislike the San shyuum or anything, but what would one really do? sit in a floating chair while petting an alien cat, watching the others go though an epic quest? they're not exactly the best race to play in a Rp =3

on another note, great to see more people interested =3 I'm currently working on the OOC so it should be ready in the not to distant future =3

welcome, to the Journey, this RP will be based on the halo series from start to finish, from the books to the games, and maybe the short films too with a little changes here and there, but the twist is, we will be going through the story's of Halo, but from the Covenant's point of view, you are allowed to be any race in the Covenant for this Journey, well, except the Prophets....
