Maximus reacted almost instantly, he used an attack to push him back, away from the saiyan and getting out of the blast radius before it had a chance to get him, as soon as the blast was finished he looked at the destruction, he then started looking for the saiyan

Magnus walked up behind Rachel, Spartan and Jun, looking at the fight, then looking down to them as if in agreement, Eve happens to be on Magnus's back
