@ADamnFiddle Yeep, I guess you can say that they played them...like a damn fiddle.

Though really, Berserker in general should be like the hardest class to win the HGW just because how much Master-Servant's communication ended up being important in most wars. Caster honestly have little chance to win too since the main targets of the war have MR of varying degrees, requiring more clever maneuvers although thankfully most Casters are capable of that. Assassin is pretty bad tho, since they're usually summoned as one-trick ponies, and assassinating a bunch of masters that have planned for the war for decades aren't just going to work easily. Even counting /GO originals, the best assassins are ones that aren't really Assassins. Like Shuten.

Rider has it a lot better due to having good class passives even if at lower rank compared to >sabers, but they usually compensate it with impressive array of NPs.

So yeah, HGW is totally rigged and it's pretty fun how subsequent TM works bar extra I think still has the rigged template for the war.
Oh, and now about favorite class.

I personally love Assassin. Despite the fact they're utterly gimped in most of the wars they appear so far for the sake of narrative, I love their game plan the most. But really, they are the only class so far in the entirety of TM to never actually be able to win a grail iirc (even Berserker wins it in Carnival Phantasm!). It's a big pity how much this class lack good representation and performance in most TM medias. And no, Semiramis doesn't count. She's honestly more of a Caster than Assassin. So my only hope is for True Assassin and No-Name Assassin in /Strange Fake to actually put up an impressive show.

Least favorite...Saber, I think? Living proof of how the HGW system are intentionally stacked, pretty much.
Looking at /GO, it really ends up feeling that Nasu in a way limited himself way too much with ME back in /SN. To be fair it's not like he has Clairvoyance EX to see how much Fate ends up being, but it's really feel hilarious how much of new berserkers in /GO that aren't from release are either having a low enough level of ME to have coherent speech (Beowulf and Kintoki), EX ME and made to be legitimately batshit in some way (Cu Alter effectively, Raikou, and even as release servant, Kiyo, Vlad, and maybe Gilles counts), or just end up not really bothering with the speech or thought impediment much (Ibaraki, and to lesser degree Tamamo Cat).

Then again, even the release /GO original berserkers that hasn't been mentioned (Caligula, Asterios, Eric, and maybe Darius, but I think that guy actually doesn't talk) have limited capabilities to talk anyway. And bar Asterios, they ended up not being popular anyway (rarity, meme material, and the fact they're guys instead of waifu aside.)
@Beloss because they lance-a-lot more than others
Is there a recently updated list for people that hasn't been paired yet?
Lancer stays the resident Irish class, heh.

@Tom Lyon

Hunt? Was it the time already? Angelise's expression was calm as she prepared her bow. She was ordered to ride on the wyvern alongside the rider and snipe them from above. But the outlaw had approached the rider before her, and it's for the best, really. Ange disliked that much height. Who knew what she might do if she panicked while being up there. Her own mount wasn't too far away from the group thankfully, and the first order of action she had was to immediately secure herself on top of her horse. From above it, she could see the situation more clearly, and even as she approached the Strategist, her eyes were already busy with picking potential targets for her to tear apart.

"Hey, Sir Strategist," Ange pouted a bit as she said that - she was reminded about how bad she was about remembering names. Thankfully she wasn't involving herself with politics at all. "I think it is fine if I stay in the backline, right? I'll refrain from attacking for now, but once you order me to-"

She wasn't able to finish her sentence with the maid panickingly asking about why did everyone let the old man go. Oh, right. Ange almost forgot about him, but there were barely any traces of him left nearby. She had a point, of course. Something definitely must have happened. But then there's this woman yelling to press the attack. What? It's hard to figure out what was actually going on for the time being, and Ange's grip on her bow tightened. In a time of distress, her urge rose like a glass that was continuously being filled with the pressure of the situation. Ah, the sound of arrows piercing flesh, a beautiful sound that could soothe any souls. Merely imagining it calmed her for the time being, and she continued what she wanted to say to the strategist.

"Uh so...right, Sir strategist. I am quite confident that I have a range advantage compared to enemy bowmen if they possessed any. They shall be my first priority as you ordered to me earlier, however, pray tell whether there are any targets that I should also prioritize?"

One deep breath. Something slipped.

"And is it fine if I shoot them now?"

Is this...is this the smell of an upcoming Sigurd in the air?
Isn't Scathach also has Gate of Skye and her Wisdom of the Abyss skill allows her to possess any nonspecific skills at rank B-A and pass them down?
Is attacking everyone and leaving no witness a valid option?

I'll post sometimes soon. Probably in an hour or so.
