The world is glued to their televisions as reports break out that after Russia invaded the Ukraine that it then began invading Georgia as well as several former USSR countries. Fearing a second Cold War or possible retaliation many US citizens begin stocking up on food essentials and while consumer goods rise, trading on the stock markets begins a steep decline.

I am a Navy Veteran, I have a wide variety of taste when it comes to RP's and I'm open to almost anything. I do not smut just for the heck of it I like a good story. I do not enjoy needless gore, and I do not like anime. I prefer real people in real situations. I do have a sense of humor and I do also enjoy some romance. So bring on your suggestions and I will post a few of my own below.

For you skimmers out there here's the Reader's Digest version.

RP Ideas - All of my ideas are very open as far as the female characters are concerned. I do not like character sheets but I do like some sort of character introduction, so if you would send me a paragraph or two written as your potential character. Thank You very much!

Both of these will start romantically slow as the characters learn about each other.

My Character (MC) is a single father with two kids whose wife has away from accident. His daughter is nine and his son is five. He was married for ten years when she passed. Three years after her death he believes he is ready to date again but begins through a local website. He finds a younger woman (Your Character) who has no children, and after sending emails back and forth decides to go on an actual date. His dating skills are rudimentary at best since he is out of practice, but for some reason after the first date he sees his wife who begins encouraging him and giving him advice. Please send me a PM if you're interested with the title "The Other Woman." Please add an email from YC as if you were introducing her through an email on the dating site. I want the characters to begin their communication via emails before dating.

I REALLY wanna RP based on the song That Summer by Garth Brooks.

Writing Sample

"Put your backs into it lads," barked Captain Axe aka the Skipper. "Get those guns in position Gunner, do not open fire until I give the command." The Skipper watched as the gunners loaded the cannons and prepared to open fire on the larger vessel they were closing in on.

"Skipper, it's the Red Pearl," a young voice called from on top of the mast in the crow's nest.

"Good job, boy, Keep your eyes peeled and head down," turning to the man beside him Captain Axe issued further orders, "Quartermaster have the boarding parties ready to go after we give them a pair of broadsides. Boatswain's Mates clear the deck of excess rigging in case we have to repel boarders. Snap to it lads this time tomorrow we'll have bellies full of rum."

Standing firmly on the Main deck Skipper paced back and forth, "Helmsman bring is in tight on her Port side." "Aye, Aye Skipper" was called by the man at the ship's wheel. Captain Axe paced the deck in anticipation of the coming fight. Most ship captains didn't revel a good fight as much as he did, but growing up on the Irish coast an orphan had taught him to fight for what he wanted.

He was kidnapped at the age of 13 and forced to work as a slave to a French Man of War until he was rescued by the HMS Defiance. To exact revenge, he turned to piracy and had worked his way until he eventually owned his ship. He still had a code of honor despite being a pirate, he never forgot what Her Majesty's Navy did for him. Axe attacked ships from any other country except Britain, in fact; there were several times when he had secretly worked for Her Majesty's Navy handling matters to delicate to be handled through regular channels.

A whistle from the Boatswain's Pipe broke his reverie. His ship was named Neptune's Raider after the mighty sea god. The Raider pulled up broadside to the Red Pearl, without hesitation, he ordered, "Open Fire." With a thunderous boom, 22 cannons on the port side (left) of his ship unleashed its volley of cannonballs and small shot. The sound of musket fire rang out in a silent echo from the masts of his vessel. During a boarding, the best shooters on board the Raider climbed up into rigging and tried to take out the officers to cause panic and disarray on their opponent's vessel.

"Prepare to board," called Axe once the noise of the cannon fire faded away. Men with grappling hooks began appearing on deck. "Guns, one more volley on my mark," the skipper barked to his Chief Gunner's Mate. Once the boarding party was in place, the Captain gave further orders, "Helmsmen, bring us in closer, Guns, Fire at will." Simultaneously another volley of cannonade was absorbed by the Red Pearl, The Raider immediately slid closer to the opposing Pearl.

"Boarders, Away the Lines," Axe called out and immediately dozens of grappling hooks flew through the air and anchored onto the Pearl. Other crew members began to use lines tied on the Raider's yardarms to swing over to the Pearl. Once a small group of his men were on the Pearl, Captain Axe checked his flintlock pistol to make sure it was loaded before boarding the Red Pearl.

A scene of chaos greeted him, the Pearl's crew were putting up a good defense but were no much for Axe's battle-hardened sea dogs. Drawing his sword Axe entered the fray himself. After roughly 45 minutes of fighting the last of the Pearl's crew surrendered. Her captain and first mate were both dead, so the ship's quartermaster officially surrendered to Captain Axe.

Turning to his right he saw one the boatswain mates, "Boats take 3 with you and scout the hold, I'm going to the Captain's Quarters Let's see if they have anything valuable on board." Now that the fighting was over he was able to focus on the loot. His First Mate and Irishman named O'Bannon organized the boarding party into search parties and began scouring the ship for valuables. They would not harm the crew and, in fact, would leave them their vessel to do with it whatever they wanted. Axe closed his eyes as he stepped into the Captain's Quarters. As his eyes adjusted to the darker room, he noticed a large amount of books and charts scattered around the captain's desk. Noticing a few that he did not have, he placed them in a pile on the bed to be picked up later. He also saw a better pair of pistols than what he owned and set those aside for himself. Suddenly he was interrupted when one of the seamen entered the quarters.

"Skipper, First Mate O'Bannon is below deck and said you have to come see this."

Captain Axe nodded and made his way below deck, to the ship's brig. Behind the metal bars of the hold, there was a woman bound, tied up, and gagged.

"O'Bannon stay by the door and make sure no one else comes in here." One of the captain's pet peeves was seeing a woman mistreated. He opened the door to the jail cell and stepped in with his hands raised in a non-threatening manner. "Ok Miss, I'm not going to hurt you, and you have to trust me. I'm going to untie you and help you off with that gag as well. Just nod your head that you understand what I'm saying and that you won't try to hurt me."

The woman nodded and smiled weakly to the Captain as he untied her. She fell into his arms and kissed his cheek, "Thank you so much, I've been so scared, I fell off of my vessel and the men on this ship pulled me out of the water. The captain had decided to ransom me, so I was put down here in the brig."

"Where was your ship headed?" the Captain asked.

"We were headed to Portugal," she replied.

"Well then let's try to get you back where you belong," the Captain said to the woman.

Several days later the ship Neptune's Raiders reached land. Axe had the crew fly a white flag, because of distrust between the French and Portuguese he assumed he'd be safe, sadly he was mistaken. As soon as he took the woman ashore she told everyone of how he had kidnapped her and was the famous Gentleman Pirate Captain Axe.

Axe was immediately taken into custody and then traded to the French in a prisoner swap. He was locked in a dungeon and forgotten about for the next twenty years. Axe had virtually given up on life, he was filled with a burning desire for revenge, but the fires seemed to die a bit more every year he was in captivity.

My name is Jason Bannon, I'm in the Navy stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. My brother is getting married next week and I'm taking leave to go back to Alabama. I'm single but all my friends expect me to have a date for the wedding. I just came back from a six month deployment with my air detachment. I fly the Navy version of the Black Hawk Helicopter. I've not had time to even find a date since I just got back and I need some help.
