The ground outside had a slight pitter-patter of clicks as a small woman made her way to the place of meeting. Her red hair had been tied back, and a long, blue coat was wrapped around her. Macau questioned why she was even attending a meeting. Normally, China would simply give her a run down of the events of that transpired, but now she had to go by herself, likely China did not see it as important. Non the less, it would be good for an Asian voiced to be in the meeting

Macau entered into the meeting, arriving just to see the Italians being called upon. "Nei hou," She said softly, before taking a seat. She figured, if anyone wanted information from her, she would wait until she was called upon.

Appearance: Macau has a very defined heritage, with her portuguese, and her chinese traits clearly there. Macau inherited her father's short height, standing at only 5 feet, with pale skin, and long reddish brown hair. Her eyes are dark brown, and show off her chinese heritage. Macau tends to wear lavish dresses in Portuguese and Chinese fashions. When not showing off, Macau usually has her hair up in a on tail, and she is dressed in loose fitting clothes, suited for a sea bound individuals.
Personality: Macau does not share her father's somber and dreary personaliy. She did, however, inherit his skill at shipbuilding and seafairing. She is a little bit curious as to who her mother is (Portugal was never more specific than "a Cantonese woman I had a one night stand with"). She has mixed feelings towards her father, and believes that he loves her, but used her for territorial claim none the less. She has abandonment issues, and often seeks comfort in China or Hong Kong. This often leads to her being easily manipulated by China. Macau likes to speak in Chinese, despite having a very thick portuguese accent, but she never stops trying. Some have called her babling in Chinese and Portuguese a mixed language, called Macanese.
Weaknesses: Cries easily, not taken seriously, mostly at the mercy of China, Gambling Problem

Dislikes: not being taken seriously, being called a little girl, getting laughed at for speaking bad chinese/macanese
Other: She is Portugal's Youngest Daughter, and she often makes a "squee", when she's excited. Her catchphrase is "another Macau original"

Portugal's head lifted when he heard the familiar voice. "Espanha!" He said, noding over in the direction of the woman. "Boa Tardes, amiga! I hope tome has been good to you, though it matters not in this game we call life. Still, I hope the game is as pleasant as possible."

Portugal knew Spain well, the two grew up together as next door neighbors. As kids, they fluxated between mild arguments, to violent fights. When they got older, they mellowed out, and Portugal no longer bore ill will to her. "IF you are interested, I just got a stock of port wine", he pitched to her "we can talk price later, come come, tell us how you have been". When Britain raised her criticisms, Portugal gave a sharp glare, saying no words, but most definatly getting his point to her.

Britain, it was her who ruined the trade routes, it was she who monopolized Africa and the Americas. It was she who dominated Asia with Opium, she was the reason for his decline. And the product of her colonialism, America, further responsible. Portugal need not speak, she would know just what he had to say.

I feel like Spain and Portugal should have some history together, considering the tumultuous real life history between them, and the fact they are right next to each other

Portugal sprang up "Amigos, Amigos, there is no need for hostilities! We can all speak like reasonable nations. Yes, the Middle East happened, but we can't change the past, and it matters not who was respobible then, for if we point fingers and fight now, the coming violence will be all our our faults". The old nation looked around at all of them. His stern eyes watching "As the owner of the oldest empire in Europe, I know we'll when hostilities lead to break down. Now please, let us talk civily"

Portugal rested his head in his hand. While he certainly played the part of a depressed yet refined gentleman, but secretly, he was worried about the state of his nation. Money was power, and Portugal once had plenty of money. But now, he was becoming a Joke, his children were out classing him in economic power and skill. With Goa and Timor going their own ways, he was no longer the merchant king he used to be. It was a sad day when the Lusitanic Nation had to pay someone else for debts.

"We, the people of the Portuguese Republic, are moderately well. We do, however, propose a growth of free, fair trade between the nations. Our economy...is not what it used to be. And we seek to open the doors of goods between friends". Or so he said, for really, he just wanted back his spiderweb of trade routs and to hold loans and debt over the heads of the nations again. "It would be in the best interest of all of us, and allow us to build friendships through trade"

The door creaked open, and Portugal walked in. Dressed in his fine, luxurious clothes, with a solemn, dark look on his face. Portugal strided, one could almost hear the depression in the air. He took up a chair, and opened with a soft, whispy greeting, "Boa tardes, meus amigos"

Portugal sat, an overly dramatic expression of byronic internal torment on his face, the old nation oozing with Saudade. "So, what meaningless agreements are we going to come to at this meeting." He spoke, eyes heavy with morose. The nations were speaking, but what did if matter, it was all for this meaningless game they called life

Appearance: Medium tanned skin, with long, unwashed brown hair and a stubbly beard. Joao has lightly hazel eyes that lean towards green, and he stands at a meager 5' 2". He is not too physically imposing, with a rather slender build and mediocre strength.
Personality: Joao loves to sail, and will spend most of his time sailing in open water, going on long vacations to far away places that most people have never even heard the names of. However, his is not a fun traveling partner, as Joao will bring along his Fado guitar and tell morose and depressing stories about his longing for home and a for love. He is pretty generally depressing and sad, only to spring into happyness and become a wild partier, only to go back to his morose depression. Joao likes to play as a ladies man, but most avoid him due to his abusive and violent tendencies with women. However, if one can get him in a good mood, Joao is very romantic, and plays up the part to a rediculous degree. He can be very meticulous with his money as well, and will often aquire large amounts of wealth by running many shops, selling just what the other countries need.
