Paris, France 1846. Recently out of jail, the Sterling Brothers reveled in the new knowledge they had acquired from a merchant in the black market. Rumors of supernatural beings flowed through the town, and the Sterling Brothers put together a plan to prove the reality of these rumors. They created a heaven for these creatures of the dark, promoting it as an escape from the tortures of humanity, but their true plan was revealed much later. Months after providing for and recruiting thousands of these supernatural beings in the safe haven, the brothers chained them up and made slaves out of them. The creatures were forced to preform acts choreographed by the brothers and whipped viciously if even one defied their masters’ orders. The Sterling Circus traveled all over Europe doing performances from sunset to sunrise, gaining riches with each show they performed, until one night, the creatures all gathered and planned a rebellion. After years of planning they burned the Sterling brothers to ashes. With the brothers gone the creatures celebrated their triumph. However, the death of the brothers did not signify their freedom. On a cold stormy night, the creatures were visited by the ghosts of the Sterling Brothers. The brothers haunted their dreams until the creatures all returned to the circus and continued where they left off.
It is present day Paris; the descendants of the creatures are still preforming for the Sterling Circus. The Sterling Circus travels all through Europe doing performances from sunset to sunrise, gaining riches with every show. New beings have been recruited under the impression of that cool circus life where you can express your powers freely. Although, the truth is hidden behind the curtains.
The Sterling Circus is a haven for the supernatural, but there’s a catch, once you are in you’re never getting out.
Basic Plot: Supernatural beings are trapped in a circus and forced to use their powers/abilities by the ghosts of the Sterling Brothers. Up on stage the performers seem to enjoy themselves, but their plan to escape lies behind the curtain. Will the creatures be able to escape?
