Appearance: Jaron is a half-elf (Elf?) of 5'11". He weighs about 130 pounds and is athletic, but by no means muscular. He has short, disheveled dark brown hair and bright green eyes. He has soft facial features, betraying his semi-human blood, yet his ears taper to points. He has a slight stubble he's tried unsuccessfully to grow into a beard.
Personality: Edric sees the best in people. This leads to him making friends at an almost superhuman pace. In all other matters, however, he is a pessimist. He quickly forges deep bonds with people and has a sharp wit.
Bio: Jaronus was born in the region of Longwood. His parents were mages and were disgusted by the fact that he had no magical talent. After years of unsuccessfully trying to bond with his parents, he left home and wandered for a long while. Finally stumbling upon the ruins of Veiron, which he decided was as good a place as any to find adventure.
Equipment: Leather armour, a pair of daggers, a single handed long sword, and a small hand crossbow
Notes: Edric is terrified of insects. Not terribly relevant but I figured I'd put it out there.

Omega League

Abilities/moves: "The Cane": If attempting to be nonlethal, Parlor Trick will wield his cane like a bow staff. In situations where extreme prejudice is required, The cane can transfer into a multitude of different weapons for his use.
"Blade Storm": Parlor Trick conjures a veritable storm of swords and sends them hurling telekinetically at his enemies.
"Sleight of Hand": Parlor Trick conjures hundreds of playing cards and sends them flying in all directions or at his enemy. The attack is designed to distract, confuse, or possibly stun an enemy.
"Hat Trick": Parlor trick pulls a random weapon out of his hat and begins using it.
"Infinite Sticks": Aptly named, Parlor trick conjures an innumerable amount of sticks and telekinetically batters his enemies with them.
Not that all abilities involving telekinesis leave him vulnerable, as controlling conjured objects takes a large amount of focus, leaving him blind to his surroundings.

Edric doesn’t always dress formally however, and can often be seen in more relaxed clothing like jeans. He doesn’t like wearing sneakers, however. He can occasionally be spotted wearing plain t-shirts. He often wears a “paper boy” cap.

He’s trusting to a fault, a trait that has made him a great psychiatrist, where establishing trust between you and the patient is crucial. Despite the constant stress of his job, he loves helping people and is quite worried about how his paitients are faring while he is away.
Edric has a sharp wit and heartily enjoys a good laugh. He also finds reality to be a bit mundane, which has lead him to be an avid fan of fantasy novels, games, and films. He is an optimist who tends to view the bright side of any situation. However, this constant idealism has led to him being crushed everytime he fails. This has lead him to develop a crippling fear of failure.

History

A Memory: It was midnight when he got the call. He saw that it was from one of his patients, a man with clinical depression, and smiled wearily. Despite being exhausted, he never passed up an opportunity to help someone. He answered to the crying voice of the man’s wife telling him that the man had hung himself. He Stayed up all night, sometimes crying, sometimes screaming. When he woke in the morning after an hour of sleep, he realised he could dwell on it no longer, he had people to help, hopefully lives to save.
History: Edric was born to middle-class parents in Bathgate, England. He lived a fairly stable early life, picking up his mother’s sharp wit and his father’s intellect. He graduated Valedictorian from his school. He then moved out of the country to study at UC Berkeley in the United States.
He studied hard, earning his doctorate after seven years. He became a citizen of the United States and moved to Seattle. In Seattle, he became a semi-famous Psychiatrist. He also wrote under the pseudonym “Evan Tiesman”, releasing two short stories and a novel to moderate success. As he was beginning to think about quitting his psychiatry to focus on writing full time, one of his patients died. Blaming himself for not paying enough attention to his work as a psychiatrist, he took an indefinite hiatus from writing.
He heard of the drawing for tickets aboard the Orient Express while watching the news after a late night of work. He paid little attention at the time, but as work generated more and more stress, the idea of riding the Orient Express sounded more and more appealing. He received the package at the supermarket while shopping for groceries. He immediately got two friends in the psychiatry business to cover his patients for two weeks and left for Europe.

I don't want to write again (I feel like I'm overwriting), but I'd like for Edric to be chef/waiter if at all possible. I feel as though his showboating in regards to his magecraft might prove to entertain guests. And, I feel like I underplayed Edric's exhaustion in my last few posts, he's on the verge of passing out right about now.
