I will work on that tonight, Leos. And, Roze, he could use the lightsaber if he's the head of Vallen's personal sepc ops squad. The vibroswords idea also works, though.
Keep it hidden and just use in extreme situations, or he could be Vallen's personal special ops guy.
Roze, the Republic would not accept Jedi into their ranks, since they were the ones to force them to the edge of the galaxy. The Rebellion, however would accept a Jedi into their ranks. Perhaps him being a Jedi could be a well hidden secret that Vallen protects, and that's the only reason Kellan complies to his orders, and that could be how he is in the Republic.
