Ira just rolled her eyes as she went to check on the students. everyone was safe thank god. Everyone was allowed out of the danger room but not allowed to leave the main building. Ira paused for a second and wondered for a second when she became in charge. it was true someone had to do it and they didnt have many options so she assumed the role naturally. she sighed and took out her phone, scrolled through her contacts to Elf for MAGNUS and entered a text message "call me ASAP. lives depend on it" She hit send and went back through her contacts in search of a number she hadnt actually used since she was a student herself. she called Ms. Munroe. international calls were a bitch but desperate times need all the help we can get.
it rung and rung before a thick accent answered the phone. "hello?" it wasnt Ms Munroe, it was a male
"can i speak to ms Munroe. this is one of her old students" Ira explained. there was a pause and Ira could hear a murmuring in the back ground before the woman she wanted to speak to came to the phone. there wasnt anytime for pleasantries. Ira introduced herself and explained the situation. the woman was infuriated but explained that she couldnt come to aid. instead she would send her son to their aid. any help was welcome at this point. but this mysterious son of Storm wouldnt arrive until sometime tomorrow.
Meanwhile Digit, who we havent seen since she ran away from jean, has been in her room working like a machine. she had thrown together a satellite that would act as a sonar, radar and scanner for a 12 mile radius around the campus. since she still had Davids watch she updated it too to be synched with the satellite. that took care of the defense.now she needed to create something more offensive. presently the only ones with an offensive ability were David and Ira. but Ira's was limited while facing machines. David now had the helment which worked as a miniature amp for his abilities. so Ira needed the boost. this time. which unfortunately for Digit, meant she would have to make a sword for Ira. thankfully it didnt require actual forging or that might have been an issue. Digits Intuition found away around that method and started working on a high frequency blade. the blade could be welded together but the hilt of the blade would be the technological marvel. thats what she was working on now.
