"does that mean the more we use it, properly, the stonger it get for us?" Sage asked
Sage just blinked "one more question. is magic like...um...a muscle? the more you work it out the stronger it gets? cuz um.. Ven and Erik for example. Ven didnt look like he was as tired as Erik was after the last class"
"but this sub catagory isnt listed in the book? how old are these books anyway?"
Digit was working on minor details for cerebro still. installing the program and such. when Ira told her about the computer Digit replied to her telepathically. her mental voice had returned to normal

Ira relayed the message "she says that she hooked the sentinel head up to a spare computer that wasnt on the network. so what ever is wrong isnt from the sentinel. she also doesnt think stark would have let something like that slip by him. she said she made sure the computer wasnt even connected to the internet or anything else when she built it so what ever is going on isnt connected to the sentinel""
"sub aspect, whats that mean Spirit?"
Sage rand his hands through his hair. "i use it on myself i guess you can say. thats half of why i dont wear a shirt. i dont get cold because i dont want to be. i control my one spirit energy to be...better. i guess you can say. usually running longer, jumping higher...physical stuff. but i can do it with other living things too. like make them grow. plants are easier than animals though. "
Sage closed the book. "This...isnt exactly how i have been using my spirit magic. am i doing it wrong or something?"
Sage grinned "i think someone said it a little earlier. but its nice to meet you too" and with that he was off to his room. tossing off the robe and sitting on his bed. so far he learned about the fluidity and versatility of water, the ever-presence and motion of air. and the will of fire... or so he decided to call it. He saw earth magic in action thanks to pakuna so it wasnt hard to imagine what that could do or be about. but spirit was still very vague. the spirit SPirit seemed to be the one giving the orders around here, and held himself with the most authority out of the five. But what did that mean for Sage? He already knew that of the five spirit was his element. but what did that mean?

Sage glanced across the room at the textbooks that were mysteriously piling up on his desk along with some paper and writing tools for notes. please let there never be homework. "everything is a matter of Will." he mumbled to himself. it reminded him of something but he couldnt figure out what. he got up and opened the book about spirit magic as he stood over his desk. "accept the unacceptable" he read outloud "Matter is energy, which is all around us, Magic is simply the art of wielding that energy. Will and perception are your greatest allies. For Spirit Magic inparticular your will must be exceptionally strong. But there are many methods to every art. for example, a solid immovable mountain and a sea of shifting sands are both earth in element. but altering either requires a different level of focus. the same is true for the stages of water, and the properties of fire.

"but spirit is different. unlike the other four spirit is innately internal. you use your energy and will litterally instead of metaphysically as with the other elements. for example, in Contracting a spirit for power your will must often be equal to theirs. but to subjugate a spirit or demon, in some cases, your will must be greater. but note that there are many different types of spirits. Spirits exist in every living thing but are not necessarily bound to the lows of the physical realm. Those with an affinity for Spirit can often see beyond the veil of the physical realm into an invisible world of spirits. Usiing ones will, if its strong enough, you can force the spirits of all things to conform to your will. But the danger lies in its strength. some spirits, demons in particular, feed on strong spirits, and you run the risk of being devoured into a souless death by one of these.

as for how Will and Perception play a part in this element. As previously stated your will is important as to control and manipulate other spirits, but perception is key. once control is established with a spirit you have to be able to imagine and perceive its function, capabilities and use. they are not as maleable as the elements and can only do so much with in their own domains. instead of perciving limitless potential like you would from fire, for example, instead you have to percieve a limit. "

Sage stopped there utterly confused. he understood everything he read for the most part... except thats not how he used his magic when he used it. he flipped through the book, looking at chapter titles. there were chapters about weapons. and conjuring, and banishing but not what he was looking for... so he closed the book "Spirit...can you uh..hear me?"
figures the only class Sage honestly cared about was the one that got cancelled. so he did a little bit of math. Classes lasted an hour, lunch was only an hour.... thats an hour and a half of nothing. a few minutes had already passed so it wasnt completely accurate. But the point was there was a great deal of time to blow. so when Sage was done eating he stood up "if anyone needs or wants me I'll be in my room for a bit." he paused for a second and looked at Ven "I'm Sage by the way, dont think i introduced myself yet"
"wait I'm confused" Sage admitted "is there...or is there not still Spirit class?"
