Dulga Tarata

Dulga woke up to the sound of her cellphone alarm reminding her that today was the first day of school. After washing up she changed into her school uniform. Due to her anatomy it needed to be customized and looked more like a boy's uniform more than a girl's. Then Dulga went to her kitchen to have breakfast. "Dad was here... And he ate my cereal again." Dulga lifted up the extremely light box of Frankenberry, sighing before pouring what was left into a bowl with some milk. She turned on the TV and watched the news for a bit before she finished her breakfast and went back to her room to get the rest of her things. Her school bag, her bike, and a large black case. As she was leaving she donned her mask and cloak, closed the door behind her, and locked it.

Biking from her apartment to school didn't take very long. Most everyone in her neighborhood was heading towards the train station, so Dulga's bike path was left clear. On her way an old couple was trying to move a small freezer off the back of a truck and onto a flatbed. Dulga quietly parked her bike and helped them get the freezer off the truck before heading towards school again. Unsurprisingly it was busy. A lot of excited kids and busy teachers. Dulga just walked passed everyone, locking her bike onto the bike rack before heading over to the lockers to change out her shoes and head to class. She still kept her black case tightly gripped in her hand, not trusting even the school to safeguard her own things. Soon she would arrive to class without a word. It looks like everyone was picking their own seat so Dulga made sure to find a spot where she wouldn't get in the way of things. "I guess this is the hero class." She thought to herself as she read some news on her phone.
I’m interested. It’ll be nice to finally give Dulga some action again.
Honestly I can't really say I'm very interested in trying a new system, especially one that limited when it comes to character creation. If it was just moving to a new setting that'd be one thing, but learning a new game system, even an old school one, seems like a lot of effort. I'll have to pass if that's the only option available for us right now.
I’ll admit, I actually joined a RL group that finished Hotdq a few weeks ago, so I feel like I can’t consciously continue to play Kyra without already knowing what to expect ahead of us. I know that there are some divergent paths that I might not experience with Kyra, but I still know a general gist of the plot, so it’ll be best if we just switch to a new campaign. I’ve been itching to play a more shooty character anyways.
Well regardless, I'm more than willing to pick up where we left off. I honestly don't see our chances being very good since I'm all out of spells and don't have anymore channel divinities, but I'm otherwise willing to see where the chips fall.
I don't mind continuing on, especially since I now have a better grasp of how to build my characters. As for how we continue where we left off, I honestly don't know what will work best since we're in a very bad circumstance. We're pretty much depleted on all resources and I don't know how easily we'll be able to escape. As for introducing new characters, maybe we find them as prisoners here? I mean obviously they need to feed the drakes and this monster something. Maybe when we go look for fresh meat we'll find a new party member who has only recently recovered from their near death experience?
Kyra looks at the group with a satisfied smile. They had the big guy, the weirdo, and one of the newcomers, a halfling druid. She remember hearing their names except for the big guy, who never introduced himself. So he was just going to be big guy for Kyra. "Alright! This looks like a pretty solid group. Like I said before, my name is Kyra Shepard, and this is Sorna! I bet you're all curious about what we're going after but don't worry, I'll tell you everything you need to know as we walk. The troll's not that far away but he's a real good swimmer, so whatever you do don't let him get into the river! Okay let's go." Kyra hops onto Sorna's back as they ride out from the guild hall, expecting the others to catch up. Since Sorna was doing most of the moving Kyra could talk to the others without losing her breath.

"So basically this troll sticks around routes over rivers, because he's super fast in the water. He tries to trick you into answering his riddles for free passage or you can try and bribe him with a lot of money. If you pay him he'll leave you alone, but his riddles either don't have an answer or he'll kill you anyways, and he's done this way too many times! So once we find him, we'll just kill him. From the reports he appears to really smell and have a bunch of flies around him, so watch out for that. As you may or may not know, trolls have a natural regeneration which allows them to survive things even like decapitation and dismemberment, but if you use fire on his wounds, he can't heal from those. But that's probably also why he stays near the rivers so he can put out any fire on himself." It wouldn't be too long before the group would leave town and find a nearby bridge spanning over a river. The perfect place for the troll.

"So here's the plan: You guys hide nearby while me and Sorna lure the troll out. We'll do his riddles for a bit and than run away so he chases us away from the river. That's when you all spring out and we'll kill him. Any questions?"
Kyra goes to look for some bounties. Plenty to choose from but Kyra wants something that would be exciting and challenging. Zombies and wolves are hardly a threat. She needs a true monster for them to hunt. Looking around Kyra finds just the one she wants and has Sorna take it. Seeing how the armored person was recruiting others, Kyra figured she'd do the same, finding a table nearby to sit down and recruit other members to join her and Sorna. "If you're looking for a real hunt, than come with me and Sorna to track down a bridge troll! Apparently he's smart enough to actually talk to people, but whenever they answer his riddles, he just eats them anyways! He's tough, and seems like he heals from his wounds, but I bet anyone who helps me take him down will be rewarded well! I'll be taking maybe three more people before we head out!"
