As the girl confirmed what he had expected, that she wasn't able to walk right now, Shayre nodded without saying a word. His head was spinning as he went over the options, his reassuring smile still on his face as if there was no problem.

"Okay, in that case I'll... I guess I can try and eh, carry you?"

The idea sounded stupid even to him, he was barely able to keep himself from swaying, holding on to a sturdy branch as casually as he could. Trying to carry a girl, however small and thin, would likely end in them falling down before he could take the first step. Which was the best case scenario, that assumed he would be even able to lift her.

"Eh, I guess that would be hard to do... What if I support you and you only use your good leg?"

With a longing look he watched the direction he wanted to go. Was it just his imagination or did the plants that way really look greener? Either way, as far as he knew it was away from the direction the girl had came from, which meant it was likely to be safer there. Not that they'd get very far even if they did manage to get themselves going, but still something in him seemed to think they would be so much more safer if they'd just move away a little bit.

"No- Don't be sorry, it's not your fault! You're doing really great..."
It's not the largest timeskip in history, but he made his post saying he was late and it was 9 or 10 a clock(forgot),
They have trouble with it because this keeps them from doing anything before school starts
^(my guess, might be wrong)
Now I personally dont have anything that HAS to be done before school, others might, so it isnt very thoughtful to do this.
Something to take in consideration for all groups:
As long as your group hasn't met a new group yet, they are separate story lines, that in the chronological sense might not have started at the same time. (If your story started a year before the other group, you can have your story span a year before you mention that you see the others) This means that you can have your story span multiple days when the others are still introducing themselves to each other on the first day. If you meet the other group you have to be more careful with this.
Shayre looked at the girl with a perplexed and slightly worried look on his face as she consecutively rested against his chest, panicked and calmed down, all in hardly over a minute's worth of time.
Maybe she has a fever, he thought, as he studied her face that was still red and warm from running. It would explain her behavior, maybe.
He was about to raise his hand to feel her forehead when she suddenly started crying. A rush of panic went through his body at the sight of tears, as crying girls were not his forte. A bit awkwardly he patted her back, feeling her body shake as she cried out "I don't want to die here.". He sushed soft nonsense at her, trying to think of something to say.

"Whatever did that is gone... It won't hurt you anymore, I promise. And if it comes back I'll protect you."

Protect her?
A voice inside his head smirked at him. Look at you acting all heroic. If whatever did that to her leg comes here, the only thing you can do in your condition is distract it while it eats you first... The truth was, if he had been alone, he would probably have curled up beneath the tree and stayed there. Ugh his head... It probably was a good thing that someone showed up who seemed to need his help, as having to take care of someone seemed to give him strength.
He tried to ignore the thoughts that kept popping up in his head, now was hardly the opportune the time to do a psychological analysis off himself. He returned his attention back to the young woman, who buried herself against his shoulder, only crying louder now. "Please, make it stop!" Her voice was pitiable and small, reminding him somewhat of the cries of a wet kitten. Great, there I go again, stay on topic, will you? He wanted to yell at his brain, that seemed to do everything in his power to think of anything but the situation right now.

"Hush, don't worry. We'll go somewhere safe for now okay? Then I'll take a look at that leg of yours, and my head, and whatever wounds everyone might have besides these... And then everything is going to be alright"

Shayre smiled reassuringly, although the girl probably wasn't looking at his face. He looked up, searching the blonde girl, hoping she could either console or help support the crying girl. They really did need to get out of here. Had none of them been wounded he would have decided to keep walking until they found civilization, but one look at the brown haired girl told him that this wasn't really an option right now.

Priorities, get your priorities straight. What do we need first? Food wasn't important. Safety was, but honestly he had no idea which direction safety would be. A place to wash their wounds, drink... He wasn't sure about the blonde one, but the raspy breath of the crying girl made him think she was at least as thirsty as he was. Downhill, they needed to go lower, where water would be. They couldn't walk far in their condition, but a little bit had to be enough. There had to be water around somewhere, the plants were too green and lush to be far from water. He looked downhill, and after checking the sun deduced that it was somewhat northwest.

"Are you able to walk?"

The question felt stupid as he asked it, as far as he could see, the girl could hardly stand, let alone walk. Her leg looked even worse when he looked at it again. Dark blood came from a nasty gash at the back of her leg, there was no doubt that it had been some kind of animal. He was amazed that the young girl had managed to get away from a creature so big. Looking at her muddied face more closely however, he realized she wasn't really the young girl he had held her for. At least she was older than the other girl, who seemed to be around 15 or 16. Perhaps she was 18, or even 19? Still, it remained an impressive feat.
Okay, sounds good :)
(also I currently have a rule for myself that I don't post unless two others have posted before me, so if someone were to post now they'd be an angel)
Shayre let go of his held in breath, his pounding heart slowly calming down. That didn't sound like a murderous animal, and apparently she wasn't being attacked by something either. He stepped closer slowly, half because he didn't want to scare the girl, half because he wasn't able to go any quicker without falling over.
"That makes two of us..."
He tried to laugh at her in a reassuring tone, but had to stop quickly when his head started pounding again. He made a small involuntary wincing noise as he grabbed his head. Still, it felt like his pain overall was lessening a bit, only coming back in sudden surges when he did something wrong. The blood running down his head seemed to have stopped as well, drying up against his skin like brownish paint.
As he turned around the bush he saw her. Her brown hair full of pieces of wood and leaves, tears in her eyes. She looked terrible, with blood running from a gash in her leg.
"Dammit..."
He quickened his pace and almost ran the last meters towards her. Once at her side he stood still for a split second. She looked so terrified and small, as if she'd start crying any time. He carefully extended his hands, hoping he wouldn't scare her. What was he thinking, she wasn't some hurt wild animal. He took her arm to support her, to help her make her way back to the other girl.
"Don't worry, everything is going to be alright! We're going to find a place to stay for the night and-"
He was hardly aware of what he was saying, just knew he had to keep talking. He told himself it was to reassure the girl, but the truth was that it probably calmed him down more than it did her.
Taya played with the pins in her hand, feeling how she started to smile as Samuel offered not to tell Matthias.
"That... Yeah that would be great. Thanks, Sammy"
A part of her wondered if this had all been nothing but an excuse to see them all again. She knew there were others who could have helped her. But no, she didn't trust them enough.
"You know where I go to school, right?"
While it sounded like a question, she knew they did. If they hadn't kept an eye on her this year, someone else would have. The hunter's society wouldn't loose her from their sight unless she had some kind of injury that would make her incapable to hunt. You are a hunter for life.
"You're probably in a hurry, so I'll hang up now... See you behind the gym around 4 pm?"
There's no way she'd meet them at her house. Prideful idiot, she smirked.
Hm, interesting character, I like him.
Will you be controlling the group of people is with?
Taya took one moment to gather her thoughts and dodge a kid on a bicycle before answering.
"Good to hear... Well- Some kids at my school... Do you know the forest west of Dakel? They are holding a play there this Monday."
She breathed out slowly.
"There's creatures out there that would kill half the public before the first act is over. I can't deal with them alone..."
There, she had said it. That hadn't been that incredibly hard had it?
Also if anyone wants their character description changed tell me so I can change it (like I did with Shayre just now)
