I’ve worked min wage jobs and I’ve done the bare minimum and have still gotten the measly ten cent raises yearly and good references from them. There really is no point, bare minimum gets you by.

Yurnero watched as police officers swarmed a building. Like moths, almost. It became ironic however, when the building burst into flames. What sort of sorcery was this? On the very top of the building, was the female he saw before. It seemed like the officers wanted to capture her. After all, they had those strange weapons that fired metal, more quickly and farther than any bow he had ever seen- And they had not yet used them.

Where was the honor in this? Several armed combatants versus one lone person? As always, the guardians of this place were corrupt and vile. He decided he should intervene. At best, at least it would become somewhat fair for the woman on the roof of the building.

He started to walk across the street, when he was stopped by two of the cops, who gave him a puzzled look and prevented him from moving further. "I don't know what is your deal with that get-up you have on there, but sorry, this person is a dangerous criminal. An arsonist. Just move along, and we'll deal with it." Yurnero was glad he had the mask on, as his face was scrunched up in disgust. He slowly unsheathed his katana, and the two officers drew their guns, a bit surprised seeing a sword in this time and age. "Woah there buddy... Put away your sword... may I add... highly illegal sword... and we'll forget about this... We have bigger problems to de-"

It was hardly a second later when their guns were cut cleanly in half. His arm and sword were a blur, and the shocked policemen backed up and started shouting at their fellow officers.

"Jesus Christ... Ho...wha... Someone subdue this freak already! We already have problems with the arsonist on top!"

Yurnero slowly readied his sword as a few officers came his way. Most of them were still preoccupied with the burning building and the original person they came here for. Whether the woman would appreciate his help or not was still debatable, but at least he would be able to defeat some officers, which was always a plus.
Yurnero walked through the damaged streets as he could find no sign of life. A few destroyed machines littered the streets as he continued on, the signs of battle more and more apparent. The civilians were all scattered and pretty much afraid for their own well being, he supposed. Even in this land, metal men pretty much destroying and maiming everything in sight was probably not a common occurrence.

And yet, it was strange he had not met any warriors. Perhaps they had already left? Maybe they did not stay to take trophies.

In deep thought, Yurnero nearly tripped over the husk of a destroyed machine. He quickly regained his balance and took a look at the robot he'd missed. Unlike the others, it seemed like it had been wrecked from a high fall, not from the usual signs of battle, although there were a few dents on it's back.

He happened to scan the rooftops, and he spotted a slim, slender woman who was at the very top. She was probably the one who led to this machine's demise. He was about to call out her name, but noticed she had not yet spotted him. Her attention seemed to be elsewhere.

And indeed, he heard more voices. Perhaps this woman was a spy of sorts. Yurnero decided to not make his presence known, not knowing if she was friendly or not. He silently moved closer to the voices he heard, hoping the strange woman had not yet spotted him. He took a peek from one of the windows, and immediately saw several figures. They were all dressed strangely, but it seemed like it was a meeting. He wasn't quite sure what the meeting was about, but he was sure it was important, because as Yurnero scanned the rooftops again, there was another person listening on and this meeting.

So Yurnero decided to listen as well, even if he was a latecomer. He tried to conceal most of his profile, only showing half of his face so that he could visually see what was going on. Perhaps he would find out some interesting secrets..
Well, maybe I should lay off the drugs mannnn

And it seems it's getting better at least.
Well for I second I thought I was tripping because there are threads where there is literally 8 posts by the same person of the same thing.

Damn, we really need a delete button....
Lately it seems that double posts happen frequently now, and posts sometime take around 3-7 minutes to actually show up...

Anyone else having these problems or am I just high as a kite and imagining all of this?
Yurnero sheathed his blade as several metal men lay in pieces. It wasn't that difficult, but one could never be too careful. This time, he made sure they were thoroughly destroyed. At the moment, it seemed that there was a lull in the action...

Probably because of the lighting that resounded throughout the city. It was a big one, so the damage must have been tremendous. He slowly walked towards the signs of fighting, hopefully finding someone else that could actually fight well. He didn't have to walk that far as he found the crumpled remains of several machines. and presumably the man that had destroyed them.

"You there! You know what spawned these metal monstrosities? Seems strange that they appear out of nowhere, even by your culture's standards." He feebly kicked one of the now empty husks, and it fell apart on contact with his foot.

" Doesn't seem to hold up much to real warriors, however."
Damn it happened to me too xD
