Rep. Ortloft (NY - R) Wells, I do thank you kindly for that wonderful perception of this bill, and most indefinitely I thank you for stopping there. Greater than any previous fear I held, was fear of falling asleep for a filibuster. From what I gather, you're all under the impression that this new bill might privatize health care. That this new bill, is a thinly veiled contract for human subjugation. Need I remind you all of this simple fact(Ortloft pauses for a moment, looks at his notes, then returns his attention to the assembly, with a fanged, self satisfied grin) The Human Welfare act is in every way a mutual benefit. We are now a population that relies on each other- not just for safety under the law, but for survival. If we do not all co operate, both the dayfolk and the nightfolk may face the very real idea of extinction.

Rep. Walker(NE -R ) (continued...) The very idea- the new condition of the American Night population-creates an unsafe environment for others already demands a new era in American segregation. It is directly in opposition to equality and freedom. Inalienable American rights! Further more, allowing a company to have THIS much influence over the population not only steals from what is privately owned by my constituents, but it's creation also weakens the influence of local governments and businesses, partially those owned by the previously unhindered day population. The tragedies of these individual events, i do not believe, can be approached under any umbrella. Forcing a nation wide bill of this gravity, the people of my great state will not stand for.

Rep. Walker (NE-R): No, Rep. Wells, I believe I understand the intention of the bill and speak honestly on it's nature. The brave and free people in the state I represent, see this bill as a heinous act against the desire of our own survival. The protection of ourselves and our choice. Many of my constituents refer to this bill as the new Indian Removal Act, as the first motion in law towards a controlled and conservative human genocide.

Rep. Jacob Wells (KS-D): Senator Walker, with all due respect, that is a clear attempt to misconstrue the true nature of the bill we have before us today. While America has always been a nation of choice, it has also been a nation that strives for something better, and that is what the Crimson Corporation is offering our citizens: a better way of life. In recent years, as vampire activity has risen in our country, it has become evident that we cannot fight our fellow Americans, even if they are nightwalkers. If we have learned anything from Topeka, New Orleans, and Albuquerque, it is that the cost of life is too great. Representative Walker would have us march to our death, when we have been offered a chance at a new way of American life. All relocation fees will be covered by the Crimson Corporation, very generously, and they have guaranteed a place for every citizen within the Communities. I have visited these communities, and they are as picturesque as any town you could imagine. I lost too many of my constituents in Topeka to argue against the Human Welfare Act. It is the safest course of action for every man, woman, and child in our great country.

Rep. Walker (NE-R): It's not the responsibility of vampires to cradle mankind, it is not in their nature. The only responsibility, vampires have - is to respect the existence of man. These violent crimes against humanity should be met with reprimand, and re-enforcement, not with willing enslavement. People who chose not to register into the Human Welfare Act should not be forced to join out of this lazy, irresponsible, uneconomic proposal. Furthermore, it does not benefit them personally. The cost of helping these people relocate would drastically increase our national deficient and add more strain to states. Support of this bill is a threat, and the people of my state refused to be bullied by such shameless prejudice.

NIGHTFOLK

NightFolk revolves around a dystopian America that has been taken over by powerful vampires. The majority of American citizens have been relocated to Harvest Communities across the continental US (Hawaii and Alaska, as well as other US territories, have yet to be contained). The average US citizen is now vampiric. Most vampires live in larger cities, although some prefer the small town life. The distribution of the human blood supply is overseen by the Crimson Corporation, a supergroup which controls virtually all food distributed to the vampire population. Blood is collected from the camps and purified before being sent on to packaging.

This roleplay will contain multiple characters and timelines, as well as extensive mature content.
