Hello, I'm participating in an RP right now and was hoping someone could delete repeat posts.
@Vortex: Welcome back! We just started the RP. Feel free to jump in.

-Also, the site has been having some issues with posting.
"Blimey, when this is done, I might consider practicing keelhauling on a few bilge rats," he jokes while watching the quartermaster make her way to a swivel cannon with relief.

A giant wave pushes the ship back and his nostrils flare. These aren't optimal conditions for a swivel cannon. Waves can alter their course if enough water is pounding down against them. He eyes the waves like a hawk, timing when he fires rounds. Didn't he ask the lasses to handle the swivel cannons? This is a mess! How many crew members are alive? Did anyone fall overboard? Was anyone... eaten? No, that wouldn't make sense, the creature was too distracted to make dinner out of anyone. Though, he wouldn't doubt a dozen or so men fell off the vessel. Celeste almost fell, and she had a death grip on the railing.

"Must be a messenger for Davy Jones' locker," a grim expression stretches across his face as he mumbles, not wanting other crew members to hear him.

The beast thrashes around, trying to throw the women off its back. If this continues, the monster will only become agitated, "If the beast looks like it's going to turn on the ship you need to begin firing."

What a situation, he thinks while shouting commands. Those two better pull off a miracle!
@Assallya: Agreed, I love to learn about historical facts. Plus, a sense of realism makes things more enjoyable.
The corners of his lips twitch up in annoyance as he watches the feisty women approach the serpent. "What? If we use cannons we'll kill them!" Lester lets out a string of cuss words before running toward a gun deck commander.

"Direct the men in firing if Alexi and Carmen can't divert the beast's attention. The target is big, so it shouldn't be hard," he pats the man on the shoulder before running back toward the deck.

Water seeps into his clothing as he allows himself to slide across the slippery surface, hitting the railing with his feet. Scarred fingers wrap around the rail, and he moves toward Celeste.

"Help me with the swivels. Those two are going to get themselves blown up if this isn't dealt with fast! Be mindful of our lovely mates though, don't want someone missing a limb, you know? "
A dark shadow maneuvers through the waves, and in less than a second of people spotting it, a serpentine head brakes through the water surface and hisses. Lester can hear the beast from bellow the deck, and doesn't doubt that people a mile away can too. Men rush by him in the gun deck, frantic and waiting for orders.

"I know the creature is already in front of us, but it will do no good to fire until the ship has been steered a bit to the side. I need powder monkeys down here now. We need to move quick!"

He moves toward a small opening to get a good view of the beast. It's large, probably longer than the ship with a head large enough to swallow five or so men at a time. It's a sickly green and looks ready to strike. Hopefully the swivel cannons can delay an attack until the ship is adjusted for proper cannon fire.

"Shut up you picaroon! Thunder is howling across the sky. Rearrange your priorities," he yells at the man harassing Alexi and Carmen. He balls his hands into fists out of frustration, watching men slide and fall on deck.

"Lasses, I want the two of you to control the swivels should a beast get near," he pauses for a moment before frowning, "I trust the two of you won't kill yourselves, take some explosives shells if need be as well. I'll overlook the cannons!"

The women are competent, so he doesn't waste any further time with them, knowing his orders will be carried out. His feet pound against the wooden planks and he allows his boots to slide forward before veering to the right. Kristion can handle this; they've sailed through worse together, with him being his longest standing crew member.

He watches Celeste order the crew members around and nods his head at her out of appreciation, "I'm going below deck, can you make sure the lines don't go taut?"
