And just like that, my enjoyment in MTG has plummeted.

1x1 interest check has been updated. Added an 'OCCUPIED' tag and a new plot idea.
Hello, my name is Ohm. I'm looking to start a new 1x1 story, since I currently have a bit of downtime. Below, you'll find pertinent info about me and what I expect from you. This may or may not be updated down the line.

I'm in my early 30s, and constantly caught in an existential crisis and anxiety.
I'm very inspired by music when I write.
I'm a sucker for exploring human emotion and the experience of feeling lost.
Not every story needs a happy ending. Sometimes, they can be better for it.
π° π± πΎ π π π πΎ π
You're at least in your mid-20s.
You also enjoy exploring human emotion and the experience of feeling lost.
You like a story of romance between broken souls.
You're not prone to ghosting.

Posting frequency has to be at least once a week.
Post quality is relatively irrelevant, but I like working with casual-level writers. Sometimes, a post is little more than an exchange of dialogue. Sometimes, it's long for a reason. As long as it means and works toward something, then even a post of a few sentences can do the job. Naturally, you should expect the same from me.
OOC communication is key in every aspect of the story. If you want things to lead somewhere, if you're not comfortable with something happening, even if you want to reach out casually and chat about nothing in particular, it's encouraged to say something. I will do the same, especially if I feel like I might be doing something you don't like.
NSFW content in a story is allowed with me, and I typically do not fade to black, but can and will upon preference. If there are limits not to broach, notify me.
All communication, be it OOC or in RP, will be done through PMs only.

I tend to write and get along better with people with which I can vibe, and one of the best ways to do that is through sharing an interest in music, so consider the following songs a litmus test. If you fuck with the selection, don't hesitate to contact me through PM.
Two entities awake to find themselves in an infinite fractal realm that tessellates unto itself and breaks the laws of space. Their journey takes them through realms of impossible design as they seek an escape from what serves to be their potential prison. As they wander, they regain their memories piece by piece and find a sense of connection with each other, unaware of a deeper tether that binds them not only to each other, but to the recursive universe around them. Inspired by the works of The Surrealist and the design of the 2019 game Manifold Garden.
Β Theme(s): Cyberpunk, Sci-Fi, Futuristic
In the future, those who can't pay what they owe are saddled with 'information debt'βtheir neural implants are overloaded with massive amounts of random information, severely impairing their cognitive functions. One of our characters plays a Sifter, someone who combs through these databombs and extracts valuable information to sell to the highest bidder, but when one excursion through someone's information debt uncovers what was supposed to be destroyed data of a secret conspiracy, the Sifter becomes a target for corporate assassins and opportunistic criminals alike. The other character is a galvanized detective, the last one in whom the Sifter would think to find an ally. The conspiracy threatens to put both lives in jeopardy.
Β Theme(s): Slice of Life, Comedy/Drama, Modern, Potential Romance Β Two lives intersect via an awkward interaction at the record store.
My character is asocial, quiet, and doesn't know how to handle a conversation very well. Coming into a windfall of money via a family inheritance, he decides he's going to live his life confined to the four walls of his studio apartment, quitting his dead end job and isolating himself away from the world. He has very little skills and doesn't take care of himself very well.
Your character works at the record store. They're a go-getter. They know what they want in life, and that is to live it to the fullest. They're kind but assertive, and look at every social opportunity as a way to grow themselves and make new friends. They love challenges and approach them as puzzles needing to be solved.
On the extremely rare occurrence that my character leaves the apartment and goes to the record storeβand your character just so happens to be working that day, they meet. The conversation is stilted and strange, but there's a hint of something more. Where my character sees a desire to leave so that he can stop embarrassing himself, your character sees somebody that can blossom into being a better person; not just for others, but for themselves.
Your character decides, on that day, to take up the mantle of changing my character's life. What happens from there is a mystery.
Inspired by the music of Krisse, as well as the anime series Welcome to the NHK.
Β Theme(s): Experimental, Psychological Horror
You find yourself in an abandoned room, standing among remnants of a life left behind. Investigate and put together the pieces to discover the life of its former ownerβand potentially change their fate.
Inspired by choose-your-own-adventure books, the album Worlds Within by Raphael Weinroth-Browne, and personal experiences.
CONTENT WARNING: The content contained herein explores topics of mental illness, including feelings/thoughts of ideation and actualization of these thoughts.

We can workshop things, if you're interested. Chances are that I won't see any engagement from this, but in either case, thanks for stopping by. I hope you find sleep tonight.
Oh, Elysium isn't my favorite story arc. It's just one I'm excited for. I can't say anything about my favorite. What I can do, however, is give you a few songs that will be used to accompany some of my favorite parts of the entire story. Listen at your own discretion; some of them are a bit harsh.
That video is funny. I should say, thoughβa lot of the stuff you'll encounter in the story takes the form of side content. If you go specifically for the mainline story and ignore everything else, you'll never see Elysium.
